Eden glanced at the window in front of her.

With this percentage, Asmun was highly likely to never become a tyrant. But she’ll make sure that’s not the case.

‘I’ll make sure of it.’

“What?”

When Eden asked as if she was angry, Asmun’s gaze became harsher.

Eden noticed that Asmun was looking at her left hand which was wrapped in bandage, and so she hid it behind her back.

Then Asmun saw Eden’s face again.

“…….”

Eden’s appearance was a mess, smeared with monster blood from head to toe.

The blood on her face seemed to have been wiped off by the doctor, but blood on his hair and clothes wasn’t.

There was a foul smell of blood from her, but Asmun did not frown at all and walked towards her slowly.

As he got closer, Eden unknowingly took a step back and stopped breathing.

His eyes were scrutinizing her as he got closer.

He looked into Eden’s eyes, and slowly parted his dry lips.

“That’s what I want to ask.”

“……”

“Who are you?”

A cold question was uttered amidst the cold atmosphere. Eden knew that Asmun was suspicious of her, as she expected.

It was unplanned to pass out and remain in the Imperial Palace, but Eden knew that Asmun would surely come to visit her at any time anyway. She just didn’t know it would be in such a harsh place and atmosphere.

“My name is Eden Lilith, an apprentice priest of the temple.”

“……”

Despite Eden’s answer, Asmun’s eyes were still cold.

He presumably knew her name and didn’t want this response.

Eden had no intention of prolonging it. Eden gulped and spat out the words she had been practicing for a month.

“I’m someone who will make His Highness the Emperor.”

For a moment because of the shocking words, the atmosphere completely froze.

Asmun looked at the apprentice priest who was saying nonsense without embarrassment in this situation. He tilted his head and moved his lips.

“Are you confessing now?”

“…….Huh?”

Eden was confused with the sudden question.

“That the apprentice priest was involved in a low-level scheme that took place at the banquet today.”

Asmun raised the corners of his lips subtly with an eerie voice.

The eyes that were looking at her became colder than before, and Eden was frozen for a moment.

“It’s not a confession.”

Eden smiled a little, trying not to be overwhelmed by the atmosphere.

“Is it possible? If that was the case, then why would I have rescued you?”

Then, the smile on Asmun’s lips disappeared at once.

It was a face that disagreed with the statement of Eden saving him.

Eden eventually said something about it.

“His Highness faced two dangers today. First, there was the risk of being ripped off of the shoulder by the monster, and secondly…”

The two looked at each other as if they were in a tug of war.

“You nearly defeated the beast and became a target for the first prince.”

Asmun’s brows rose. Eden went on without a pause.

“And I rescued you twice.”

Asmun stared at Eden with bewildered eyes.

“First, I prevented a crisis that almost ruined Your Highness reputation, and secondly, it’s not the other princes who defeated a monster so that His Majesty doesn’t give them praise. ”

When Eden thought about it again, she raised the corners of her mouth as she smiled proudly, but Asmun did not smile.

“Your Highness may have guessed it, but it was probably the first prince who brought the monster to the banquet hall. The purpose is, of course, to test you.”

“……”

“Perhaps because there was an increase in the amount of monsters subjugated by your team, suspicions have increased. Of course, it must have been annoying in the beginning. The first prince is not a smart person, but he has a talent for recognizing threats instinctively.”

Eden skillfully recited the words written in Kiris’ character introduction.

Judging by the fact that he had brought a monster to the banquet hall, Kiris wasn’t a very smart person. But there were often times when he showed off his beastly instincts, and he was truly menacing.
