As she had to find a way to get rid of those media reporters outside, Qu Wan was aware that it wasn’t the right time to blame anyone.

“Wanwan, I know you’re not used to being surrounded by people, so I only arranged for a small scale internal interview.”

“Can I skip it?” Qu Wan asked listlessly.

“No way! I’ve informed the reporters, so you have to go!”

The interview was undergoing in the studio of the television station. Lin Yiyi was by Qu Wan’s side throughout the interview and there was a host who was designated to ask questions. As the questions had been filtered in advance, they were mostly about Qu Wan’s criteria for choosing a mate and recent changes in her life, not her privacy.

According to Qu Wan’s personal information, she wanted to find a husband who was faithful in love, and she didn’t want to live with her future mother-in-law, so the host started with that.

“Miss Qu, nowadays, women tend to choose those who are tall, rich, and handsome from decent families as their mate. Don’t you think it’s too hasty to ask only for his fidelity and not for his financial ability? ”

“No matter how handsome he is, he’ll grow old one day. No matter how wealthy he is, if he has no feelings for you, he’ll find an excuse to ask you to leave without a penny.”

With a faint smile, Qu Wan continued, “So I would rather choose a faithful man who accompanies me for the rest of my life than a handsome millionaire.”

“This may lead people to think that I’m a difficult person, but no matter what the others think of me, I’ll stick to my decision. If the other party can’t meet my requirement, that just means we’re not right for each other.”

Qu Wan didn’t explain why she had made such a request.

The host didn’t want to give up, so he asked, “Miss Qu, can you tell me the reason for your decision? Is it because your last marriage left a psychological shadow on you? Did your mother-in-law ever bully you?”

Hearing the valuable information, those reporters cheered up as well. “Can you tell me the name of your former husband?”

“Why did your mother-in-law ill-treat you? Is there any particular reason?”

The host also listened carefully, waiting for Qu Wan’s answer. Unwanting to waste her time on it, Qu Wan said, “Next question, please!”

The host then asked her some questions about her recent life and the influence of the media on her life. However, as the interview drew to a close, he steered the conversation back to sensitive subjects.

“Miss Qu, can you tell me why you got divorced?”

“Er…” With a frown, Qu Wan didn’t want to answer.

“I know why!” Lin Yiyi snatched the microphone from Qu Wan’s hand. “Her ex had an affair with someone…”

“Yiyi!” Qu Wan immediately stopped her, shaking her head. “Let’s call it a day. I’m tired and I want to go home to rest.”

The fact that Wang Zicheng confessed his love to a woman in public on the TV program soon reached his grandpa.

“What if the kid is mine? Won’t you accept him?” Wang Zicheng asked back casually.

“Huh?” This old gentleman knew it well that his grandson was a notorious dandy, so there was nothing new even if he had some illegitimate children.

“Is this some kind of a joke? If the kid is a descendant of our family, needless to say, we’ll bring him back and let him receive the best education.” He didn’t talk about Qu Wan, as it was about their family’s reputation, he had to be cautious.

“Thank you, Grandpa!” Wang Zicheng chuckled and hung up.

If Tangtang were really his son, things would be easy, and all he needed to do was win Qu Wan’s favor.

The Wangs attached great importance to the blood lineage of their family, so his grandpa would definitely welcome the kid to come back. Now the key was how to convince his grandpa that Tangtang was his son.

“What should I do?” Rubbing his forehead, Wang Zicheng leaned against the back of the chair with his brows knitted.

He cared more and more about Qu Wan, who seemed to have taken root and sprouted in his heart.

Watching Ling Mubai step into his office, the assistant brought him a cup of coffee and left a copy of the day’s newspaper on the table.

After a short pause, he shifted his gaze to below the headline, his look growing grimmer. His knuckles turned pale from holding the cup tight.

“This dandy really goes out of his way with women! He even appeared on a TV show in his real identity!”

Ling Mubai felt kind of suffocating pains in the chest.

Though Wang Zicheng failed to get Qu Wan’s favor, what he had done on the show had aroused wide attention, and now everyone knew that he was in pursuit of her.

Ling Mubai felt as if there were a heavy stone in his heart, which made him almost breathless.

As Lin Yiyi was the program planner, it was obvious that Qu Wan didn’t mean to go on a blind date through this program and she was just a makeweight to fill out the numbers.

Moreover, her personal information was false. Qu Wan had been single since she divorced him. How could she be a divorced mother?

She hated to show up in public, so she must be so short of money that she took part in the recording of a dating show!
