7. Shameful to Be Wasteful

Ling Mubai pushed open the door of the ward and before he walked in, a familiar figure suddenly burst into his eyes.

Freezing on the spot, as if being struck by lightning, he stared at Qu Wan from behind, his fingers trembling slightly.

He had imagined the moment of their reunion countless times, but it had never occurred to him that he would encounter her when she was feeding another man!

Wang Zicheng swallowed hard and immediately started flirting with her. “Wanwan, you look gorgeous! I think I already fell for you!”

After freezing for a second, Qu Wan immediately put her sunglasses on to block his burning gaze.

However, a hungry wolf would never give up on its pray so easily. Wang Zicheng sat up and moved closer to Qu Wan. “Wanwan, you smell good!” he said, sniffing hard.

Qu Wan shivered and instantly leaned backward, getting goosebumps all over.

“Wanwan, can you stop wearing sunglasses? I wanna see your face every day.” Wang Zicheng moved even closer.

Qu Wan was furious at his undisguised harassment, but as Wang Zicheng was her boss, she didn’t dare shoot back. “Do you want to finish it? If you’re full, I’m throwing the rest into the trash can!” she said, managing to hold back her anger.

Qu Wan’s voice was soft and gentle by nature, so although she was in a fit of rage, it sounded like a lovely woman complaining in a pettishly charming manner to her boyfriend.

“I do! Wanwan, I promise I’ll finish the last bit of it!” Staring at her intently, Wang Zicheng opened his mouth, waiting for her to feed him.

Ling Mubai stood by the door, clenching his fists, gritting his teeth.

Unable to stand the mental torture anymore, he turned to go back to the corridor and hit the wall with a hard blow, which even shook the peels of the wall off!

It turned out that Qu Wan had had a new boyfriend!

If he had known she was so heartless, he wouldn’t have waited for her painfully for three years! Actually, he always thought that she would come back to him one day!

After rushing out of the hospital, Ling Mubai tromped on the accelerator and like a black bolt of lightning, the car disappeared into traffic in the blink of an eye.

“Mubai, where are you?” It was Jiang Xinyue calling.

“What’s up?” Ling Mubai was so upset that he couldn’t help raising his voice.

“Dad wanted to meet your family. When will you be available?” Though she could tell from his voice that there was something wrong with him, Jiang Xinyue still finished her words.

She had thought that Ling Mubai would give her the runaround. However, to her surprise, he agreed without hesitation.

“I’ll be free tonight. We can discuss our engagement by the way,” Ling Mubai answered.

“Great!” Jiang Xinyue didn’t expect that things would have gone so smoothly and she almost sprang up with joy. “Mubai, I’m asking my dad to arrange for it right now!”

As Wang Zicheng’s injury wasn’t serious, he would be discharged from the hospital the next day. However, he refused to leave for all sorts of reasons.

As long as he had found out that Qu Wan was such a beauty, he was addicted to her services and became more curious about her.
