Mark panicked, Blackbeard?

"Good Morning Alicia," Mark stuttered, "Many apologise, I seem to be rather clumsy at the moment."

"Rather Clumsy? You just fell down the stairs" Edwards responded. He smiled a toothy grin, the famous black beard was not on his face yet, instead he was scarred and clean shaven.

Mark took in a deep breath, he's not Blackbeard, he was Blackbeard once, he may be lovely now?

"This is my friend Edward," Alicia responded, introducing the notorious pirate. "Edward, this is Mark, he is staying with us at the Rupert's Rage for a short while. Hopefully he learns some etiquette during his stay."

"Come join us for a drink then," Edward added, a light flickering in his eyes as he asked.

Mark was petrified, he was sure he noticed an evil plan being concocted by Edward. He stumbled his way through the room towards the bar, stumbling over a chair and accidentally knocking the poor recipient's drink out of their hand.

Edward howled with laughter, soon joined by Alicia and the recipients friends. Mark was mortified, since when had he become so clumsy?

The recipient stood, towering above Mark. He wore a skin tight vest, with a black bandanna adorning his head. His pants were made from silk and a long sabre was attached to his waist.

Character Information:

Name - Zhou Tai

Position - Pirate Harbour security detail

Relationship - negative - currently angry at you for spilling his drink *So damn clumsy*

Additional Information - In a past life Zhou Tai was a pirate, turned body guard. He served the kingdom of Wu's, Sun Quan as a body guard during the three kingdoms period of China.

Skills - Sailing, Sabre Apprentice, Brawler, Silent but deadly.

Zhou Tai stared down and Mark, who panicked. What is my luck! He thought.

"Sit down Little Tai," Shouted Edward, "I'll buy you a replacement, Alicia if you would please."

Little Tai looked across to Edward and nodded his head in acknowledgement, he stared at Mark once more before sitting back down.

More laughter came from his table.

"Oh that's shown you 'Little Tai'." A young man with a short black ponytail laughed. He was wearing an open red waistcoat with a feather in the pocket. He was wearing brown shorts with a belt adorned with bells that would ring when he moved.

Character Information:

Name - Gan Ning, Xingba

Position - Pirate

Age - 22

Relationship - Friendly - *Is a big fan of your clumsiness*

Level - 2

Additional Information - In a past life Gan Ning was a notorious pirate, who wore a bell adorned belt that would strike fear in to his enemies. He eventually left the pirate life, and after several lords became a successful general under Sun Quan, emperor of Wu, during the three kingdoms period of China.

Skills - Sailing, Night time Raids, Dangerous with a Dagger.

Mark apologised once more to the table, before heading over to the bar were Edward and Alicia were waiting.

"Thanks for the support Wilson," exclaimed Mark.

Alicia poured Mike a cup of some Ale, it looked and smelled like something you would have purchased down a dark alley from some bootlegger who had distilled the Ale in his dirty bath at home.

"Thanks!" Mark mumbled.

"Come, drink with me Mark." Edward advised.

Mark grabbed the cup of ale and lifted it to his lips, the smell already pushing him close to vomiting. He took a sip and swallowed.

*Splash*

Mark spat all of the drink out all of the bar, coughing in disgust, what was that! He thought internally.

"Hahahaha" Edward cackled, before putting his hand on Mark's back and slapping it firmly. He continued to Laugh whilst the pain from the firm slap spread through his body.

"Oh man, you are entertaining!" exclaimed Edward.

System notification -

Edward "Blackbeard" Teach is now friendly.

Alicia Anderson is now friendly.

Mark was surprised at the sudden relationship upgrade. He was also happy as this was a good way to see peoples changing opinions of him. He could use this! Mark's management mind kicked in, there was a system, and he could use it.

"So traveller, what are you visiting our little RuneTown all the way out here for?" Edward asked.

"Probably to travel the sea's like all of the other idiotic travellers that pass through here" Alicia added.

"So Mark, is that the case?" Edward asked.

"I've never been a fan of water." Mark replied, "I am here to build a team."

"A team?" Edward asked.

A team Mark thought. A team he could create a kingdom from. Mark was a lover of history, he had a passion for strategy and kingdom building games. He had died, why not use this opportunity.

"Wilson!" Mark exclaimed in his head.

"Yes Mark?" Wilson replied.

"My mission, is to create a kingdom to fight the darkness?" Mark asked.

"Yes?" replied Wilson, "Have you finally started to think?"

"Will there be many people from history here?" Mark asked.

"I would expect most of them." replied Wilson.

"So I could create a kingdom with legends of history?" Mark asked.

"Yes, if they will come to your side." Wilson replied, "But a little advice, be less clumsy and bang around less."

Mark came up with a plan.

"Edward, I am creating a team of mercenaries."

"Oh, interesting." Replied Edward, "A team of mercenaries? And what are you called? The Clumsy Brigade?"

Edward smiled and patted Mark on the back.

"Its an interesting time in the Kingdom of Honda, there is a lot of suffering, hence why we have our little pirate town here. Why add to that?" Alicia asked.

"Because, we will create a team that will fight against the tyranny, and help the people have a better future." Mark replied, before taking a sip from his Ale cup, rather heroically.

*Splash Cough Cough*

Mark spat his drink on the bar again.

System notification:

Alicia Anderson now has the relationship - Friendly - thinks you are an idiot.

Hint *stop being such an idiot, that Ale is disgusting*

Edward laughed some more. Patting Mark firmly on the back.

"You are a fun lad Mark, I have connections, what do you need to get going?" Edward asked, eyes glittering.

Mark new Edward had a plan, he wasn't sure if he should trust the notorious pirate, but the system said he was friendly, and he was definitely scary.

"I need trustworthy men, with potential, I need to choose them. I also need a base of operations." Mark replied seriously, he had 28 days, this was his opportunity to start.

"The men, I can introduce you to some, they are pirates though or peasants, not much to start with but you may find a few. A base, do you have any funds?" Edward asked.

Funds! Mark thought seriously for a moment, how could he achieve anything without money.

A banking app? what else could this system do! for now, he had funds, he would look in to this later.

"I have enough," Mark replied.

"Let me speak with the men, I'll set a meet up for you." Edward replied seriously. He stood up, bowed to Alicia and blew her a kiss, before leaving the bar.

"Are you serious?" asked Alicia.

"The most serious I have ever been in my life." Mark replied.

"It has been a short one" Wilson added in his head.

Mark looked around the bar, at all of the men and women sat drinking and enjoying themselves. Who do I start with? He thought.

Suddenly a hand tapped his shoulder. He looked back and recognised the young man with a Ponytail from earlier, Gan Ning. How did he get there Mark thought to himself.

"I may have overheard some of that conversation, a mercenary group? I fancy a change from this pirate life, sign me up. I am Gan Ning, but my friends called me Xingba."
