Chapter 87 Harry and the Chamber of Secrets

"Maybe we should ask the professors for help." Ron reminded.

Harry thought for a while and nodded in agreement. Oh my god, Ethan's earnest persuasion finally worked. The two reckless little lions finally thought that they should go to the professor for help when encountering such a problem.

The first thing Harry and Ron thought of was Ethan. The two of them sneaked to the door of Ethan's office and knocked on the door for a long time, but received no response.

"Professor Ethan is not here! It happens to be at this time!" Harry rubbed his head in distress.

The two then went to find several other professors, but due to Dumbledore's arrangements, they naturally did not meet them.

They even went to the principal's office, but they didn't know the code to enter, and the gargoyles stationed at the door of the principal's office refused to let them in, so they couldn't ask Dumbledore for help.

Of course, Snape, Lockhart, Harry and Ron didn't even think about it. They thought that asking these two professors would only make things worse.

"What should we do now?" Ron asked uneasily. He didn't understand why the professors seemed to disappear in an instant.

"We'll do it ourselves!" Harry gritted his teeth and finally chose to act recklessly.

"What are we going to do? We don't even know where the secret room is!" Ron said.

Harry thought hard for a while, and suddenly his eyes lit up.

"Do you remember? At Aragog's funeral, Dumbledore told us who the victims of the Chamber of Secrets incident fifty years ago were?"

"Myrtle!" Ron obviously realized something, "We can ask her! She might know something!"

Harry and Ron did what they said and quickly ran to the women's bathroom.

To their surprise, when they arrived, Myrtle was floating beside a sink, as if waiting for something.

"Myrtle, what do you know about the Chamber of Secrets?" Harry asked.

Surprisingly, Myrtle didn't do anything strange this time, but honestly told Harry and Ron the story of what happened before her death.

After figuring out everything that happened, Harry and Ron began to carefully examine the sink in the women's bathroom.

Harry quickly discovered the faucet used to open the secret room. "This is probably it," Harry said to Ron.

"Say a few words. Say a few words in Parseltongue." Ron stared at the little snake on the copper halter carefully.

"But -" Harry thought desperately. Previously, he could only speak Parseltongue when faced with a real snake.

He stared at the small carved snake, trying to imagine it as a real snake.

"Open it," Harry said. Harry looked up at Ron, who shook his head.

"No, you're talking human language." Ron said.

Harry turned to look at the snake again, forcing himself to believe that it was alive.

Harry thought that if he moved his head a few times, the flickering candlelight would make the snake appear to be moving.

"Open," Harry said again, this time with a strange hissing sound coming from his mouth.

The pool immediately changed. Just like before, the faucet emitted a dazzling white light and began to spin rapidly. Then, the pool started to move.

Then a thick water pipe was revealed, which was the entrance to the secret room.

Harry heard Ron gasp. He raised his head, already making up his mind what to do.

"I'll go down first," Harry said.

Harry had to go. They had found the entrance to the Chamber of Secrets. Harry kept recalling the appearance of Colin and Dobby. Dobby's life was hanging by a thread now, and Harry never wanted anyone else to be hurt.

"I'll go too." Ron patted Harry on the shoulder and said firmly.

Harry slowly got into the pipe, and as soon as he let go, he disappeared into the bathroom. Ron followed closely behind him, closing his eyes tightly, and entered the pipe together.

While waiting, Ethan and Dumbledore sat on the stone floor of the secret room, bored.

Ethan simply took out Gwent and explained the rules to Dumbledore, and the two started fighting.

Dumbledore took an extraordinary interest in Gwent and quickly became familiar with the rules.

Dumbledore became very interested in the characters on Gwent, and kept asking Ethan to introduce the background of the characters to him.

Seeing Dumbledore's interested expression, Ethan suddenly thought that it might be a good idea to promote Gwent in this world. If Gwent could fascinate the greatest white wizard, it would be even better for other people. Forget it.

Just as he was about to tell Dumbledore about Radovid in detail, Ethan's demon hunting senses were very keen to capture the footsteps and conversations coming from the tunnel outside.

Dumbledore obviously noticed this and quickly became quiet. Not long after, the trembling figures of Harry and Ron appeared in the secret room.

Harry and Ron were very nervous. The huge snake skin they had just seen made them realize how terrifying the enemy they were about to face was.

Harry could almost hear Ron's upper and lower teeth clicking together due to trembling.

"Harry, there's something over there." Ron grabbed Harry's shoulders, his voice twisted with fear.

Harry saw a huge coiled thing, and there seemed to be a small thing lying in the middle. Harry quietly took two steps forward, squinted his eyes and took a closer look. He recognized it. It was Dobby. .

Dobby closed his eyes tightly at this time and lay quietly on the ground, not knowing whether he was alive or dead.

And there was a huge basilisk coiled around him. The basilisk's eyes were closed tightly and its body was rising and falling, as if it was sleeping.

Harry didn't dare to look at the basilisk for fear that it would suddenly open its eyes, so he could only lower his head and move forward slowly and quietly.

"The basilisk is sleeping. Don't wake it up. I'll sneak over and pick up Dobby who's lying in the middle. Then we'll leave here immediately." Harry whispered to Ron in a low voice.

Ron nodded in agreement with Harry's plan.

Harry swallowed, and before leaving, he handed the crossbow he brought to Ron and told Ron to use the crossbow to protect himself if anything happened.

Then Harry half-crouched and walked quietly toward the basilisk. After entering the basilisk, Harry could smell the pungent smell of the basilisk, which was much smellier than the toad that Snape asked them to skin.

Harry resisted the desire to vomit and approached the basilisk.

Harry carefully stepped over the basilisk's coiled body, trying his best not to touch the basilisk. He felt his throat tightening.

Harry was more nervous than ever before. He could see the basilisk's body rising and falling due to breathing.

Harry successfully stepped over the basilisk's body. At this time, he was very close to Dobby. He only needed to take a few steps to pick up Dobby and quickly leave this terrifying place.

Harry looked at Dobby, and to his relief, he could see Dobby's chest rising and falling slightly, indicating that Dobby was still alive.

Suddenly, Harry heard the sound of scales rubbing against the ground, which made his hair stand on end. He felt the giant thing around him move in an instant.

The basilisk awakens.
