Because LCD is a device that utilizes the polarization properties of liquid crystal.

A polarizing plate that causes light polarization is added to the front and back.

This polarizer also has different characteristics depending on the LCD mode, so you have to use a dedicated polarizer for VA mode.

Development had just begun, and the flat plate had not yet been properly made.

It was said that the contrast ratio of the panel made in TN mode is about 500:1, so the picture quality is about 6 times clearer.

If you attach a proper polarizer, the number that could increase even more was that much for now.

“What is your viewing angle?”

“It’s 85 degrees left and right. This can go even higher by optimizing the polarizer.”

The angle of the viewing angle characteristic meant that the panel could be turned in any direction within that angle.
