World Of Heroes And Legends

After Fury left I sat up once more and looked at my legs. Uh, that's a no go there. Wait, wait, wait..... Cheer Louise up? Why does she need cheering.... oh, crap!! To hell with my legs I need to get back to Metropolis right now! I looked at the table next to me, but no there isn't a phone there. Ugh, where the hell is it?!

"ANYONE NEAR BY!!!" I shouted out. Whilst I waited for an answer I threw the covers off and scrambled to get up only to land like a rock back on my back. Oh, come on!! Fury was near by didn't he hear me?! Then I'll just shout again.

"LITERALLY ANYONE WILL DO!!" I yelled and glared at the door as I sat up to find that my phone and bag lied on a chair on the opposite side of my bed. For someone as smart as me, I can be a complete idiot sometimes. Opening the phone I swiped until I was at Louise's name. Hitting the call number I tapped my hands anxiously against the iron pipes that held my hospital bed up.

"SANDY! OH MY GOD! I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU DID THAT!! NOR THAT YOU ACTUALLY JOINED THE AVENGER'S! WHAT-" I pulled the phone away from my ears cringing in pain. Wow, the comics didn't over exaggerate about her being loud, sheesh.

"Ah, Louise? You are on speaker." I interrupted. "Plus I'm currently lying on a hospital bed, so I'll ask you nicely, please, please do not shout at me, or you'll destroy my poor ears." I say smiling. I know I lied but it's the only way to shut her up.

" Fine. But you have a lot of explaining to do, little miss. Clark says hi, and to take care of yourself." Louise says.

" Why don't he say so himself?" I ask curiously.

" Cause he's currently very pissed off at you. You could have been killed. It wasn't even your second day and you got yourself in trouble!" Louise says her voice carrying faint signs of suppressed anger. Oh, great.

" Mhmm, but if I hadn't gone with none of the Avengers would be alive, none of those civilians would be alive and I won't have a job of which to speak. So please Louise tell me, what was I supposed to do? Just because I'm human, just because I have no supernatural abilities doesn't mean I can't help. And I did, so please don't take this away from me, YEAH it was kinda hard to see and experience what I did but I'm alive. THEY are alive, and that is all that matters. So Louise do you or Clark have an answer on what I was supposed to do?" I ask getting frustrated, and I know now that it isn't going to happen soon so I'll wait. Silence.

"Bye, Sandy." Louise says sounding defeated and hung up. Great I fought against my idle and now best friend. Just great.
