The kirikos explained to me that this whole scenario was nothing more than hoax to see how I will react in that situation. The whole thing was part of the evaluation exam they give to those who want to become hunters. They told me they were a family of four, a father, a mother, a son, and a daughter. They lived in this cabin and acted as a guide to the hunter exam location. They do this ting to evaluate if the applicants are worthy enough to tack the hunter exam. You could call it another form of the screening process.

If we include the one with granny this was my second one I had to go through. The first one was the old granny's wired quiz. If they deem the applicants worthy they then guide them to the hunter exam. If not well they are lucky if they leave with their life.

[The father kiriko] "Kid you don't know how to hold back do you I thought I was going to die there"

All I could do was smile awkwardly while thinking

[Nero] {If I did not hold back you wouldn't be here talking}

[The mother] "Kiri kiri kiri kiri, come on honey the kid bested you fair and square"

Yah by the way she was the one watching/stalking me when I was on my way to the cabin. After the father kiriko walked up from his beauty sleep we moved the living room. They were hospital enough to give me some tee. Though I was much more of a coffee person I did not refuse their hospitality after what I did the father.

[The mother] "Kiri kiri kiri kiri kiri, you sure are one strong kid I am sure you will become a good hunter"

I don't know what is it with me and compliments this days, but I could not stop blushing the whole time the mother kiriko was complimenting me.

[Nero] {Blush}

[Alfa] {You are blushing sir}

[Nero] {I never sked you!!!}

[Alfa] {Just making an observation sir}

[Nero] {You think I am enjoying this right?}

[Alfa] {You are most definitely enjoying the praise sir}

[Nero] {F*** you}

[Alfa] {You shouldn't use profanity words sir it is beneath you}

This kept on going on for a while.

[Nero] "So you guys are part of the hunter examination comity then?"

[The father kiriko] "Yes every year there are a lot of people who come here wanting to be hunters but rarely do we meet people who are worthy of the name" .

[Mather kiriko] "That is why it is all ways fun to meet people like you who are strong and perceptive"

[The father kiriko] "That is why we deem you very worthy of taking the hunter exam. My son will Gide you to the hunter exam"

[The son] "You are the first applicant to reach here this year"

[Nero] "Is that a record or something" I said with a smile

[The father] "No but sometimes there aren't even people who reach this far"

Nero "shish, the screening mast be harsh than I expected"

[Father Kiriko] "Kiri kiri kir kiri kiiri…. Honey isn't this kid amazing he can even use NEN"

[Mother] "Yah he sure is. Kiri kiri kiri kiri kiri kiri"

[Nero] {Blush}

[Alfa] {You are…..} [Nero] {Not one more word out of you} I interrupted

[Alfa] {....}

The son and daughter kiriko ware just staring at me with amazing eyes. For them I was someone they could never comprehend. While for the parents I was just a bundle of fun for them. In the end, only the son kiriko ended up as my guide, the rest opted to stay behind in case others worthy of being guided to the exam showed up.

My top speed while flying with my crimson wings is Mach five. You could say I was a small jet in human form. The rush you get when you're flying at those speeds was exhilarating and euphoric. But thanks to my guide I cod not do that, I had to keep my speed relative low to him. It took us the rest of the night to get to zaban city.

We arrived in zaban city at the crack of dawn. The city itself was just waking up for its normal daily routine. We entered the city on foot. We didn't want to raise any problems. The overall feel of the city felt like a mix between [Middle Eastern and west European] culture, from my old world. The aesthetic of the houses and the way the small market stalls were spared around the main road of the city were all too familiar.

After walking for a while the son kiriko brought us to a small restaurant near a big multistory building. When we walked into the restaurant the owner asked us what we will be having.

[Son kiriko] "Is the backroom available?"

[Owner] "Oh the back room, and what will you be having?"

[Sone kiriko] "A stake double please, the one that will make us see the light"

[Owner] "How do you want it cooked?"

[Kiriko son] "Grilled slowly over low flames till done please"

[The owner] "Got it. See your selves to the backroom your order will be ready"

After that, we went to the back room.

The son kiriko open the door for me and then he said to me.

[Son kiriko] "Well friend this is as far as I can lead you, the rest is up to you, I would say good luck but with your set of skills I doubt that you need luck to be com a hunter"

[Nero] "Sure thing pal, have a safe trip back, and thanks your family for me, for their hospitality"

[The son kiriko] "Don't mention it was our pŀėȧsurė"

After saying that he went out of the room and closed the door behind him when he walked out.

[Nero] {With the hunter licensee card traveling will be easier, not having papers in this world sucks, and with it, life will at least become easier}

Bake then, when I left the forest for the first time to travel. I could not cross through costumes and government-regulated rods. That is why I run into those mercenaries when I took "the road less travel" or whatnot. Excluding the strange and dangerous beast, and crazy feats of the people of this world. Everything else was pretty much the same. There were many places that the hunters could go where normal people couldn't go. So I needed the hunter license badly. With it, I could bypass all this process without pay.

After the kiriko son walked out of the room it started to descend. The room I was in was some sort of an elevator. The room kept on going down for a while until it reached the bottom floor. After that, a door opened up from the other side of the room. I walked out of the room to see where I am. The place I was in looked like some kind of underground bunker.
