The drooling monster released me, shaking its paw, which the spider had dug into, but my assistant did not stop, and continued to climb up the enemy's limb with the clear intention to get into its ear. Roaring, the drooling monster began to beat itself, trying to swat the annoying insect. But after each blow, the spider only dug its legs deeper in the monster's flesh and kept on moving.

When I finally managed to get up, the fire of the blade had already gone out. Apparently, the supply of the blood, soaked in the battle, was exhausted. I was holding a plain piece of high-quality steel in my hands. The enemy ran in circles, like a dog trying to catch his tail. It tore off its clothes along with the pieces of flesh to get rid of my spider.

Well, I should remember how to control my assistant. I wish I guessed to highlight the spider contours by looking at it earlier. After all, the map was used the same way. Anyway, it doesn't matter now. I doubt that this monster will die from a single spider. Once the spider gets inside it, the drooling monster will probably forget about the insect and start fighting me again.

Stepping back, I swung the sword, waiting until the drooling beast turned away, and furiously struck it with my sword.

The sword bounced off the drooling monster's back; my palms even ached. The beast seemed to feel nothing, it crouched to the ground and growled. I'm dead! The spider obviously didn't hurt the creature too badly, because the monster only shook its head slightly from time to time. I'm afraid I can't kill it. I pointed my sword at the enemy.

I missed the start of the attack. Fortunately, my stance proved to be the best solution, because the blade went quite deep into the drooling monster's body, though the beast jumped off easily when I tried to push it harder.

God knows how long I'd have to repel such attacks, but I didn't dare make the first move. Its blood was special: my sword didn't light up when it fell on it.

Now the drooling monster walked around me, choosing the time to attack. He must have noticed that I had gone half-blind. I turned after him, pointing the blade into his open drooling mouth. From time to time the drooling creature twitched his head, confirming my guess that the spider was working...

Suddenly I heard a furious scream. Turning, I saw the stone Titan fall to the ground. The mauled Kraken, which had lost most of its tentacles, managed to grab his leg and dragged him into the water. But the Kraken couldn't defeat its opponent alone: a completely strange dark-red man was hacking at the Titan's knee with a huge axe.

The drooling monster, who was also watching the battle, took advantage of my distraction and hit me. His razor-sharp claws could cut my face and teared my neck. Fortunately, the spider attacked the drooling beast from the inside and I had the opportunity to crawl away. Furiously roaring, my foe hit his head in the nearest tree, breaking a few dry branches.

I moved forward and struck my drooling opponent's c.h.e.s.t, not hoping to kill him, but simply to wear him out or to wound him. Maybe it'll help him die faster. Unfortunately, this drooling thing was clearly smarter than I expected.

The monster, leaning against a tree trunk, grabbed my weapon with its fingers.

My sword creaked pitifully; I was worried he might break it. But I should have thought of saving my own life rather than the weapon. I pushed the sword into the drooling beast harder; suddenly a whip wrapped around my shoulder and pulled me back. Someone, moving in the air above the ground, decided to attack me from behind.

Damn it. My arm hurt like hell. This whip easily stripped off my iron armor, leather clothes and even teared skin. I was bleeding badly. It was impossible to bandage myself in the middle of the battle. I could easily bleed to death.

Without hesitation, I opened all the remaining flasks and drank the potions in one gulp. The oily and sweet liquid mixed with the viscous and bitter one in my mouth. I twisted in pain and fell to the ground.

I was lucky: the man, flying over me, crashed into its ally, and they rolled on the ground, almost ending up on the shore. I jumped to my feet, pulled a rag out of my bag and tried to bandage the wounds, and then I noticed there was no blood. The centipede under my skin closed my blood vessels. Due to 'Regeneration' I would recover soon. I hope my arm is healthy. I raised my head to examine the opponents and froze in horror.

I'd got a little used to the unknown terrible drooling creature, the MESSAGE flickered over it:

+5 epic beast

The man was much more interesting. Although it was hard to call this creature 'a man', because he had s.u.c.k.e.d the blood from his fallen comrades and his skin was completely red.

However, he was a citizen of the Empire.

Zagreb Warokow, 527 years

Race unknown, most likely a half-demon

Blood mage

Charge: murder of the second son of Lord Reichard

Kill him now!

It's amazing. I wonder how I'll be rewarded: a noble status or plenty of money? What am I thinking about? I can't handle one of these monsters, not to mention both of them. All I can do is to decide how to die. I suppose the best choice would be to take in the next world one of those bastards which had slaughtered an entire village. The drooling monster was severely wounded and unlikely to survive. But the mage is obviously going to live at least another thousand years. So, I'll take him with me.

"For the sake of the HAND!" I yelled and rushed forward.

It was the only battle cry I could think of. The bloody lash, that looked like intestines strewn with needles, tied around my boots. Soon I noticed the monster's ugly muzzle emerging above.

You, filthy bastards, I'm not going to give up! Where's my sword?

The drooling creature landed directly on the blade, which went halfway in its stomach. I fell on the ground trying to hold the sword upwards and not to allow to the drooling beast to hurt me.

If the monster had gone down two more inches, its claws would have touched my neck. Fortunately, the drooling beast could only slightly scratch my armor. The whip didn't just slide off, but wrapped around my shoes, like vines, squeezing my feet with such a force that the iron began to bend, creak and press on my legs. The spikes on the whip grew longer and pierced my armor.
