'Knock, Knock-Knock!'

Early in the morning, Ram was knocking at Emily's door. As soon as the door opened, she rushed in.

"Emily, there's movement in the dungeon!"

"Good! Looks like the monsters finally respawned. Go get everybody, we'll have an emergency meeting."

"Ok!"

After around ten minutes everybody gathered in her room.

"I'll start with an explanation about dungeons." said Emily. "They are considered places created by gods to train heroes, and are of great importance to every country. The strangest and most important thing about them is that they can create monsters once in a while. Our scouts found out that the dungeon is full of monsters once again, so that means more XP and recruits for us."

"You want to send a force there to train?" asked Ramiya.

"Yep, and I'll take the weakest members this time, so they could level up too. I and Jagga will lead them. We'll take 500 soldiers in blood gear and 100 vampires of different types for assistance. Mikia, go prepare the provisions we'll need for a week."

"Understood!" said the hobgoblin girl.

"Assemble the army as fast as you can, I don't want to be away for long from Cavetown."

Suddenly, a goblin woman knocked at the door, then came in.

"Master, the strange kobald egg is hatching!"

"I'll go take a look. The rest go and get everything done."

Emily hurried to the hatchery and managed to arrive before the egg hatched. On it had already appeared numerous cracks and it was periodically moving.

After two more minutes, the eggshell finally broke and fell, a pinkish creature appearing from within. It looked around, then approached sloppily Emily.

"M-Mama!" it said.

"Woah, what a cute baby. You'll be named 'Pinky' !" said Emily, c.a.r.e.s.sing the small creature in her hands.

She left Pinky in the nurse's care and went towards the dungeon entry. There, an army was waiting on standby, and near them were the provisions for this journey.

She put the provisions into her Inventory and left Ramiya as the commander of Cavetown while she's away.

The dungeon haven't changed at all from the first time she came, so she decided to go right once again.

"Guys, especially vampires, if you'll find individuals with rare abilities, and all magicians in particular, try to knock them out instead of killing. We'll take them prisoners then try to assimilate into our forces." said Emily.

"Understood!"

First enemies they found was a group of 100 goblins. They went straight to them and tried to identify strong individuals while fighting. In the end, they killed everyone.

"It's not that easy to find powerful guys in these rooms, they must be waiting in the boss room. I'll use 'Discerning Eye' on them from now on, so don't kill those I point out." said Emily.

"Understood!" shouted the soldiers.

In the next rooms they managed to find and capture some common mages and one with life magic potential. They also found some simple treasures.

"Guys, this time we'll get serious, so advance slowly in formation and take care. The flying vampires will knock out their mages, the others vampires on standby."

Once they entered the boss room, they got in formation in mere seconds. This time they were against a force of 1000 goblins, around 50 hobgoblins and one goblin king.

Once the enemy detected them, they started an all out attack. The battle ended in half an hour, with 30 unconscious mages, and the rest enemies dead. They also managed to get 400 goblin women. They escorted them all to the surface then came back.

It went the same way with the second floor, just that this time there was no kobald queen and way too few kobald eggs. They managed to take back 200 uncommon individuals and, like always, a lot of corpses.

Emily decided to leave the third floor for later and go back. The whole expedition took them three days, as the goblin soldiers needed to rest and eat.

In Emily's absence, nothing bad happened thanks to Ramiya's exquisite management. Some spies sent messages through the undead pigeons that they managed to persuade their noble targets to help Emily fight against king Fergus.

"We will try to conquer the third floor of the dungeon in a week. In this time I want to train as many hobgoblins as possible."

Thanks to the recent goblin subjugation, dungeon expedition and their training and hunting from birth, 400 goblins managed to evolve to hobgoblins. The majority also needed a little bit more XP to evolve.

Emily decided to put the hobgoblins without any magic power in the main division meant for experienced soldiers of the army, and those with magic meant for battle in a magic division. They will be the main forces of the army, while the goblins and kobolds will make the recruits division, and life magic users the healers division. She planned on making one summoner division, but she had only Jagga and one prisoner from the recent battle that could summon creatures.

The undead were divided in three battalions, each with four divisions. One battalion per race and one division per class. There was one more battalion meant for the undead treants that Emily got recently.

Treants are sentient trees with human characteristics, that evolve from trees that grow in places rich in mana. They have nearly the same size as when they were trees, and have enormous strength and constitution, but other stats are low. The undead treants are the same, just that they evolve from undead trees.

She first got the ability to make undead trees when her "Rise Undead" skill leveled up to level three, but they can't do anything except consume nutrients from their surroundings to level up.

She made some of them near Cavetown and made them consume nutrients in small amounts, so the other plants and soil won't suffer any aftereffects. Thanks to this, she now has a division of 50 undead treants.

Even though they are relatively slow for long distance expeditions, they would be perfect guards for Cavetown or other strategic positions, as the enemy wouldn't detect them easily.

They also have different classes. The treant mage usually has water, earth and the rare plant magic affinities. The defender treant can conjure an big wooden shield to protect himself or his allies. The warrior treant has an 3-4 meters long wooden sword.
