Worlds Conquering Necromancer

Chapter 3 - First Undead

After waiting for 20 seconds, a bone arm raised from the ground, and soon, an white skeleton was kneeling in front of Emily.

"Master", said the skeleton with a monotonous voice.

['Rise Undead' skill proficiency increases by 2%]

[First Quest completed.

Find and resurrect any creature.

Reward: "Inventory" skill; 10 attribute points, 70 XP]

[Hidden achievement: First skeleton.

Make your first skeleton undead.

Reward: Title 'Skeleton's friend'; 40 XP]

[Level up! You've received 5 unassigned points and 1 point for each attribute.]

[New Quest:

Resurrect 100 undead.

Reward: 10 attribute points, 1 skill point, skill "Life Drain"]

"OMG! So many messages at once! Let's start with your name." she said, looking at the kneeling skeleton.

"From today onwards, you will be known as 'Bob', first kin of Emily Laryel. Rise, Bob, and welcome to the family."

Bob rised and said "Thank you, Master. It's an honor."

"Now then, let's look at what we've got."

[Title "Skeleton's friend": Makes possible the recruitment of unaffiliated skeletons, by using "Rise Undead" on them.]

[Active skill "Inventory": Use on anything that's not alive and isn't bigger than 3 meters to store in another dimension. You can store an infinite amount of items and can take them out anytime.]

[Passive skill "Hard Bones": It makes your bones harder. Gives 5 constitution points.]

"System, what's the deal with the skill proficiency?"

[When you use your skill, you will get more skill proficiency. When it reaches 100%, that skill will upgrade. There are also some skills that don't have skill proficiency. To upgrade them you need skill points, that are given as rewards for quests or every 5 level ups. Some skills can't be upgraded.]

She thought a little and took a look at Bob's stats.

[Name: Bob

Race: Skeleton

Class: None

Dexterity: 7

Constitution: 14

Unassigned points: 16

Active Skills: None

Passive Skills: "Hard Bones" ]

[Title "First kin of Emily Laryel": Gets more xp and skill proficiency. Has better commanding ability.]

"Hmm... His stats are worse than mine, but taking into consideration his unassigned points, he's pretty strong for this world. And this title's effects are good. I'm counting on you, Bob."

"Yes, master." said Bob.

She then tried to assign a class for him.

[Choose class:

>Swordsman

>Spearman

>Rogue

>Archer]

"It's easy to understand what every class does, but which would be better?" Emily thought. "Bob, what class would you like?"

"Master, I'll accept any class you wish, but I'd like to be a swordsman. I want to protect master from the frontlines."

"Wow, you're so sweet, Bob." Emily said with a bright smile. After that she chose Bob's class as a swordsman.

Black smoke surrounded Bob, and then he apeared again with a sword in his hands, wearing some parts of leather armor.

"System, can I also choose a class for myself?"

[No, master. Your class will forever be a necromancer, but you can use equipment from all classes of your subordinates. To conjure them, just will it.]

Emily willed to be a swordsman, and soon a scene similar to the one before happened.

"That's convenient. I'll be able to change my class at will when I'll have more undead. System, how long till my mana is fully recovered?"

[Master, 5 hours 52 minutes until your mana is full.]

"This graveyard has at least 300 graves. It will take me too many days. I think it's time to use some points."

After she assigned 15 points into her intelligence stat, her mana capacity rose from 84 to 144, and 8 hours 24 minutes until her mana fully recovered.

"Bob is already pretty strong, so I'll use only half of my mana for an undead. System, how long will it take me?"

[Master, it will take you around 85 days and a half.]

"Well, it's not like I'm in a hurry, but it won't be good if someone sees me or my undead. Bob, help me tidy this place. We'll make our camp in that forest nearby."

"Yes, master."

They tried to tidy the graves they crawled from, and then went to the forest where they found a good place to stay.
