A Villainess's Struggles

Chapter 52 - The Villainess is Somewhat Thankful

When class was just about to start, two individuals came in before the bell rang. Stars always come last minute...

Wait..!?

I'm pretty sure that's Henry and Allen right? They grew so much taller! I was doubting if it was them since they're so tall.

The girls in this class were already whispering about who these people were and how they were very good looking.

Allen waved towards me and I waved back.

"We're in the same class this year," he said.

"Yup. It seems like Henry is too..." I replied.

Olivia, Anna, and I were all separated this year. The most unfortunate one is me due to my lack of ability to make friends.

When I made eye contact with Henry, I felt as if my heart was going to jump out of my c.h.e.s.t. He's starting to look just like how he did in the comic.

Suddenly, a loud shatter sound came from the left side of the classroom. There was a ball on the ground and many pieces of glass shards. The ball destroyed the windows of the classroom.

"It's the students from the public high school," said one of my classmates.

"The public high school's nearby...?" I mumbled.

"Yes, it has to be them. Gabrielle's ex-boyfriend is from that school too. They're known to be quite reckless. Actually, reckless doesn't describe them accurately" May said.

"Who's this?" Henry asked me.

"Eh? Ah... Her name is May" I answered.

He doesn't know her? I'd say that May was quite popular in WoodLily. The rumours that circulated around the school about May and I made her even more known.

May didn't seem to have much of an expression when she finds out that Henry didn't know who she was. To this day, I still can't find out what type of person she is.

At this time, our homeroom teacher came inside the classroom and noticed the commotion. The teacher immediately contacted the office. We were also forced to move into another room.

"In the end, you and Gabrielle fought for nothing. No one ended up getting the seats" said May.

"Yup..." I replied.

"Speaking of which, where are your friends?" I asked.

"In another school" May responded.

"That girls' private school?" I continued asking.

"Mhm," May nodded.

I realized that May had completely given up on her angelic acting whenever she talks with me.

And it feels as if... We're acting as if we are friends...!

I do kind of feel bad for her as she was the only one out of her friends that went to this school.

After all the students settled down in class, the teacher started to talk about the differences between elementary school and middle school. There was a ranking system in middle school. It ranks your athletism and your intelligence. When they say intelligence, they mean your memory skills. Basically, how good you are at memorizing lessons and textbooks.

Instead of student representatives, we have class presidents this time. There will be two of them, and they will be selected by the teacher. For my class, my homeroom teacher just chose Henry and Allen based on their grades and how they were in the student council back in WoodLily. Sorry to the other students, I mean side characters, that wanted this role but aren't as important as Henry. Allen's still a mystery as he was a minor character in the comic. I didn't even get to see his face once in the comic. Suddenly, I feel as if he's starting to become a major character as he continues to hang around Henry.

In the comic, Allen was not included in Henry's flashbacks of his past. Was he supposed to go to another school? Allen wasn't in the high school that all the main characters attended either.

...

Okay, I quit. Way too much brain processing for me. I'll think about this issue another day. It might be related to why the heroine met the old couple so early in this world.

During lunchtime, I walked around everywhere trying to look for the cafeteria. May ditched me since she went to the washroom and told me to go ahead. It took me 10 minutes to find the cafeteria. I even had to call Olivia for help.

The aura in this cafeteria was a lot more refined than WoodLily's cafeteria. Every student was eating with table manners and they all sat with good posture. This is what one calls, elegance.

I tried to look for Olivia and Anna but there was this humongous crowd in the centre of the cafeteria blocking my view.

"Ha... It's definitely the usual three" I sighed.

As I continued looking around, I noticed May walking towards my direction.

"What are you doing?" She asked.

"I'm trying to look for Olivia and Anna" I answered.

"I saw them around that area when I went through the other entrance. Follow me" said May.

After following May, I found Olivia and Anna but... Olivia's fork slipped from her hands and Anna's jaw dropped when the two of them saw the person next to me.

"Hello there, may I sit with you girls?" May asked with a smile.

"EMERGENCY MEETING!" Anna yelled out suddenly as she pulled Olivia and me with her.

"Natalie. Speak!" She ordered.

I explained the situation to them and the two of them sighed. I did leave out the information about her true self.

"I understand. We can't just leave her alone after all" Olivia said.

What did I do to deserve such wonderful friends?

We returned to where May was and sat down with her. She looked a bit surprised when she saw us. I guess she didn't actually expect Olivia and Anna to agree.

Thankfully, the rest of the day went by smoothly. I sometimes believe that there is a little too much happening in my life.
