A Villainess's Struggles

The lady in front of me smiled gently as I continued staring at her.

"Natalie and... My younger brother, what are you two doing here?" She asked.

W-What do I do now?

Okay, calm down Natalie. Right now, it's time to pull out your top-class actress skills. As a villainess, you must be an amazing actress!

"What a coincidence this is! I didn't think that our first time meeting would be here" I said, trying to convince her.

Blake seemed to realize what I was doing and he also looked like he was on the verge of laughing.

"So it is a coincidence! Of course, my little brother and a young lady wouldn't follow people around, right?" Amber smiled.

"That is right! As we grow older, proper etiquette is required" I smiled in response.

H-Ha ha ha ha... I can see how the two are siblings. In the end, I'm still a normal girl inside a villainess's body. I can't maintain this act for any longer, I need some help...

I kicked Blake on the leg without using too much force. He looked a bit surprised but I think he received my message.

"Well, older sister, how come you're here?" Blake asked.

"I'm actually on a date with Allen over there" She answered.

Amber called Allen over to where we were sitting. When he saw us, his face was priceless.

"N-Natalie and B-Blake?! What are you two doing here?" Allen asked.

"Eating dinner together" Blake replied.

"In your school uniforms? Rather, it's weird to see you two together...?" Allen continued asking.

"Why would it be weird? Aren't all three of us friends?" Blake responded with a smile.

Ehh... That doesn't sound right coming out of Blake's mouth...

"If you say so..." Allen sighed.

Amber walked closer to Blake and whispered something in his ear. Blake shook his head and suddenly stood up.

"Something came up, I have to leave now," Blake said.

I checked my phone for the time and decided that I should go home too.

"I'll be leaving too... I just need to call my family car here" I said.

"You can come along with me" Blake suggested.

"Oh... Um... O-Okay then?" I said.

This is a big mistake. I'm going to regret it.

I said bye to Allen and Blake's older sister and left the restaurant.

On the ride home, it was once again, awkward silence.

I tried starting a conversation.

"So... Were you able to find out anything after following the two of them?" I asked.

"Hmm... Yup, I think I did" Blake answered.

"And Natalie, did you know that it still hurts?" He said.

"It? What's 'it'?" I questioned.

"My leg," he said as he pointed at the leg I kicked.

Eh? Really? I didn't kick that hard though. But what if it's serious?

"Does it hurt that much? I'm pretty sure I didn't apply that much force..." I frowned.

"It hurts so much that I think I might need to go to the hospital and get a checkup" said Blake.

Ohh, I see. He's totally playing with me...

"I hope that it's serious!" I smiled.

"Hahaha, thank you for your kind response" he laughed.

"By the way, I'm just curious but how come you suddenly had to leave?" I asked.

"Ah, that's because of what my sister said to me" Blake replied.

"?... What did she say?" I said.

"She said that Allen's family along with my mother and father will be joining them in approximately 30 minutes from now" Blake said as he checked his phone for the time.

"Speaking of your sister....We got caught so easily" I sighed.

"To be honest, I expected her to find out. She is someone who I look up to. My sister excels me in all aspects" He replied.

Oh...? I didn't think he would talk about himself to me...

"There is someone who I admire as well" I said in response.

Not in this life but in my past life.

"He is a great artist who isn't known by many but his work inspired me a lot" I said.

I wonder how he's doing now, my senior in university.

"An artist huh... It seems like you respect him a lot" Blake responded.

"That's right!" I smiled.

Blake's eyes widened and then he looked away.

After I said those two words, the awkward silence came back.

Around 10 minutes later, the car arrived in front of my house. I got out of the car and could finally breathe.

"Thank you for the ride" I said as I bowed.

"You're welcome. I'll see you at school" Blake replied.

When I entered my house, I noticed that I had forgotten something. Something very important.

Hahahaha... Sigh...

I didn't get the chance to eat anything!!! We left before we ordered something to eat...!

I spent my dinner time stalking a friend and his fiancée!

If I tell mother that I wanted something to eat, she'd scold me and tell me that it's not good to eat lots at night. But the problem is, I ate nothing! Mother also thinks that I ate with Blake in a restaurant outside... I definitely won't be able to eat dinner tonight.

Well then, I guess I'll have water for dinner...
