A Villainess's Struggles

The next day, Gabrielle's group was still refusing to cooperate.

Then, I thought of a great idea. I don't think it's a nice thing for me to do but for the sake of the class...

"Miss Shelton," I said with a smile.

Gabrielle looked at me as if I was crazy as I used formalities with her. She's probably thinking something along the lines of, "This girl is up to no good."

"H-How may I help you?" Gabrielle replied.

"It's about time you start doing your part, right?" I asked.

"Hah. If those stupid designers in our class start doing their part then I might too" she answered.

"Oh my... By the way, did you hear about what happened yesterday after school?" I said as I walked closer to Gabrielle.

She looked confused and stepped back.

"What happened, huh?" Gabrielle asked.

"Your- Wait, no. Tristan was it?" I smiled.

"H-How do you know his name?!" She yelled as she grabbed my collar.

"Hm? What does he have to do with you?" I replied.

"Don't joke around with me! Did you go and investigate my background with your stupid money?!" Gabrielle shouted.

"Why on Earth would I investigate someone like you?" I said as I slapped her hands away from my collar.

"Did you know that your ex-boyfriend is a stalker? He followed May around!" I said.

"You're lying! I know that you're saying this because you want me to cooperate with the class," Gabrielle grinned.

"Don't be surprised if your ex ends up in court then. Stalking is a serious matter. If you still have a heart and feelings for him then..." I responded.

"C-Court? Haha, you're not being serious right?" She asked.

"Then do you want to ask the victim herself?" I answered as I waved May over.

"What's wrong Natalie... and Gabrielle?" May smiled.

"I know you two teamed up to threaten me. Don't even try!" Gabrielle laughed.

"Then what if I witnessed it too?" a voice came from the right of May.

May's face suddenly flushed red. Is this boy the true love she was looking for?

"Kyle?" Gabrielle said with a surprised face.

"I saw it too, is that enough proof? I can describe how the boy looked too" Kyle replied.

"Eh? Um..." Gabrielle stuttered.

"Let's practice, okay? I just want the class to get along" He asked.

"Okay..." Gabrielle blushed.

Suddenly, I felt this dark aura coming from May. Is this jealousy? She looks like she's about to murder Gabrielle!

After some threatening and some power abuse of a handsome boy, Gabrielle's group finally agreed to help out. I can't believe it took so much just to get them to do their parts. Why sign up for a role if you aren't going to cooperate?!

Next problem, I'm going to be acting like a witch.

With my face, I already pass but when it comes to performing in front of an audience...

"Y-You must hand over y-your unborn c-child... No this is not how it goes...!" I sighed.

I stared at the manuscript I was holding.

"You're the witch?" Olivia asked with a worried face as she took a bite of her noodles.

"Eh? But Natalie doesn't suit that role at all..." Anna said with a shocked face.

"R-Really?" I replied.

"Not at all. I think Natalie is perfect for this role" May laughed with grace.

She just insulted me and tried to make it sound like she was saying something nice about me!

"Did you memorize all your lines yet?" I asked.

"Hm, I think I did. Want to try rehearsing one scene right now?" May replied.

"Sure, how about the one where we are first introduced to Rapunzel?" I said.

"Let's start from there then" She responded.

"Rapunzel... Rapunzel... Let down your h-hair" I said shyly.

"..."

"May?" I asked.

May suddenly stood up with a smile on her face. She then dragged me out of the cafeteria. Olivia and Anna were both confused, but I was the most confused of them all.

She took me to a hallway where there are very few people during lunch.

"You suck at this!" May yelled.

"I-I know I do!" I replied.

Trust me, I'm trying my best but it just isn't working...

"Also, you dragged me out of the cafeteria just so that you can maintain your image right?" I asked.

"Stop trying to ignore your problems! As women, we should solve them straight up!" May said.

That first line sounds quite familiar... Who was the one that said that again?

"Then, what do you think I should do to act properly?" I asked.

"Experience may be helpful" She answered.

"Experience...?" I questioned.

"Come over to my house this Saturday. I'll email you the address" May said.

"E-Eh? Why" I tilted my head.

"We will be watching some movies~" She smiled.

"How about we invite Kyle too?" I asked.

"Huh?! Why would you invite him?" May said with a red face.

"Tomato..." I laughed.

"T-Tomato?! Don't make fun of me!" She yelled.

"If you really want to, I'll invite him for you..." I said.

"But why would you do that for me?" May asked.

"Like I said before, friends help each other out, right?" I smiled.

"W-Well, if you insist" She said.

I can see the curves of her mouth going upwards.

At the end of the school day, I awkwardly walked up to Kyle who was sitting with Henry and Allen. I've also just found out that these three plus Blake became friends after they joined a sports club together. Can't remember which sport but these four are insanely popular.

"Excuse me" I politely asked. May was hiding behind me while I did all the talking.

"Ohh, Natalie and May?" Kyle answered.

"I was wondering if you're free this Saturday?" I said.

W-Why does it sound like I'm asking him out on a date...

"I'm pretty sure I'm free, why?" He replied.

"To be honest, May's planning to have a mini practice session where we rehearse for the play this Saturday at her house. Since you have one of the main roles, we thought that we should invite you" I explained.

"That sounds like a great idea, I can come. Just that I'd like to make a small request" Kyle said.

"Yes, please go ahead" I replied.

"It'd be a bit awkward if it's just me and two girls so I was wondering-"

"We'll come too" Henry interrupted.

What? No no no please don't do this to me. I BEG YOU, WHY?!?

"Yes that's fine!" May exclaimed.

NO IT'S NOT!

"And while at it, can we invite Blake too? He knows quite a bit about film and plays" Henry suggested.

"Of course!" May agreed.

I QUIT. May doesn't even care at this point! As long as Kyle comes, she'll be fine with any other result!

Sigh... My Saturday no longer sounds good...
