A Villainess's Struggles

Today, my teacher decided to give a group project assignment for science. Luckily, we got to choose our own groups. Each group has to have 5 members. There are 25 students in our class so there will be no leftovers. I don't get along with many people in the class so that might be a problem (well, more like they don't want to be friends with me).

First person to approach me was Angelina, at least there was someone who wanted to be in a group with me...

Anna ended up joining us making us a group of 3. We just needed 2 more people.

"Henry and Blake, be in a group with us~" said 3 girls surrounding Henry and Blake.

...This is why group projects usually don't work out well. People often complain about the members in their group and fight over the smart people.

"Natalie...How about we invite Henry and Blake?" asked Angelina.

Heck. No.

"Angelina, the chances of them joining us is very slim, I think it's more logical for us to find someone else" I smiled.

"There's only 4 people left. It's either Henry and Blake or those two over there that usually don't show up for class" said Anna.

I need to make correct life decisions right now. What should I do?...

I looked over at Henry and Blake and it seemed like Henry was going to join those girls until Blake started walking towards me.

"Natalie, can I join your group?" asked Blake.

Sure if you keep Henry away but you're Henry's sidekick, how can you leave him?!

I have no reason to refuse so...

"Of course, we only need 1 more member now" I replied.

"Count me in too" said Henry.

I can feel my invisible tears rolling down my cheeks.

We finally have 5 members now and we just need to choose a leader.

"Who's going to be the leader?" Angelina asked.

"How does Natalie sound?" Blake suggested.

I need to stay away from this guy. He only gives me more trouble.

"Doesn't Henry sound like a better choice?" I responded.

"Okay, it's decided. Natalie is the lea-" said Henry.

"W-Wait, Anna didn't say anything yet!" I interrupted.

"Natalie, I heard that you do great in school so you can be the leader!" said Anna.

"And that's that." said Henry.

...I've always had bad experiences with group projects. In my past life, I was always the one leading the group. I always ended up doing all the work while everyone else got free marks.

But, this group has very smart people, with the exception of Angelina and me.

Anna may not seem smart but she ranks about 5th in my class in terms of grades.

Well I guess I'm officially the leader.

"Since the project is due on Monday, let's meet up at the library near the school on Saturday" I suggested.

Everyone was fine with it so I guess I'll be seeing them on the weekends...

When I came home, mother was watching a clip on losing weight. She's not even fat at all...

"Oh Natalie? Welcome home. Don't mind me, I realized I gained some weight after all the dinner invitations" said mother.

Recently, she's been going out a lot...So that was the reason.

"I was introducing your baby brother to the other families so I had to go to many places. I'll take you to one on Saturday." said mother.

"Wait mother, I have a group project to do on that day. Sorry." I replied.

"It's fine. Where are you going to work on that project?" she asked.

"The library near the school" I answered.

"Okay, make sure to take Jenny along with you" said mother.

"Yes" I nodded.

There's something I've been wondering about for a while...

When will I get my phone in this life? I miss the convenience of phones...Last time when I got lost, I could have just called mother if I had a phone. Maybe I should ask her for one? I'm still too young for that though...In my past life, I didn't get a phone until grade 8 so...

I also want to change the colour of my walls. It's light pink right now but I want it pure white. Being born in a rich family changed me a lot. I feel like I've become more spoiled...

I've been worried about the plot of the comic because I won't be the villainess. If I don't bully the female lead, would the two leads still get together? I also don't remember the back story of Henry. The current him is a completely different person from the one in the comic. He was very cold and hated talking with people. He would only communicate with Blake. I wonder what happened in his childhood that changed him so much?

I think I will change the story line a lot, sorry about that female lead, I need to live a proper life after all.
