Ruby: Are you… Robbing us?

Mob 1: YES!

Lightning/Ruby: Ooohhh

Before the man could utter a single retort, he was punched by Ruby sending him sliding into a man wearing a black bowler hat with Orange hair.

The man signals for more mobs to attack us. 2 mobs approach us with their guns raised.

Mob 2/Mob 3: Freeze!

Ruby sends mob 2 flying with a kick through the store window both landing outside while Lightning uses [Telekinesis] and sends the books surrounding herself at high speeds towards mob 3 knocking him out and burying him in a mountain of books.

Lightning using her flight magic lifts herself up and flies through the broken window landing next to Ruby. While Ruby just finishes twirling her scythe stabbing it into the floor.

???: Okayyy... (to the remaining mobs) Get the-

Lightning: (Starts pulling Ruby's cheek) Why did you break the window? You could have beaten him without destroying the storefront. You want to be a huntress not a vandal, right?

Ruby: Sowwwwy!!

???: Ahem! (Lightning and Ruby slowly turn their heads to face him) You done?

Lightning/Ruby: (Nods)

???: Get them!!

Lightning: I'll take the left half, you take the right

Lightning pulls out [Rebirth] from its holster in gun mode and takes out the two mobs whom are furthest away from her.

Ignoring the dinging in her head she transforms her gun into blade mode and uses the flat side of her blade to hit the remaining 3 mobs controlling her power to not kill them, She did all that at a speed which could give Ruby's [Petal Burst] a run for its money.

Lightning looks to the other side she sees Ruby just finishing off her last Mob. Noticing her help isn't needed her attention goes fully onto the ringleader.

Light: Aren't you that Roman Toothwick guy?

Roman: It's Touchwick you brat. (Sirens in the distance goes off) Well, Red, Pink, I think we can say it's been an eventful evening and as much as I'd like to stick around (Raises his cane and a cross grid pop out) This is where we part wa-

While Roman was monologuing, he didn't notice Lightning using [Telekinesis] on 3 streetlights which had now been pulled out from their stations at the side of the road and started to wrap around him. One around both ankles, one around his t.h.i.g.hs and the final one around his stomach catching his arms in progress.

Lightning: I can't believe you dropped your guard from a slight provocation like pronouncing your name wrong.

Roman who is now completely immobile tries wiggling his way out but to no avail.

Ruby who didn't hear the previous conversation because she was dealing with the mobs on her side now approaches Roman and Lightning

Roman: LET ME GO! DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM?!

Ruby: Nope

Lightning: Hmmm Ruby… I think that was Rhetorical.

Ruby: Ooohhhhhhhhh…

*Inside a random airship*

Pilot: Miss, Roman's been apprehended

???: How utterly disappointing.

Pilot: Shall we land to save him

???: No, actual huntsmen will be here soon. He isn't worth that much effort.

Pilot: What shall we do then miss?

???: Take off, we'll break him out while he's on route to prison.

The women in red transitions from a stone-cold expressionless face to one with an eerie smirk and adds

???: He hasn't outlived his usefulness just yet.

Lightning and Ruby shortly after taking down Roman was escorted into a police interrogation room and were seated opposite the huntress who escorted them.

The women in question is a quite popular huntress by the name of Glynda Goodwitch she's a middle-aged woman with light blonde hair and glasses her weapon of choice was a black riding crop which she held in her left hand while lecturing the two kids.

Glynda: I hope that you realise that your actions tonight will not be taken lightly, young ladies. You put yourself and others in great danger.

Lightning/Ruby: How?!/They started it!

Lightning seeing she wasn't going to get an answer from her. Decided to use [Telepathy] to find out how she truly felt about all this

Glynda: *They did extremely well considering their ages but I cannot condone children fighting criminals even if Ozpin does*

After Lightning found out she resigned herself for a scolding.

Lightning: 'Knowing she's only doing it out of goodwill makes it difficult to argue with her'

Glynda: If it were up to me, you'd be sent home... With a pat on the back... (she notices Ruby's smile) ...And a slap on the wrist." (she demonstrates with her riding crop, which Ruby barely avoids it)

Ruby: Eeek!

Glynda: But... there is someone here who would like to meet you two.

She moves to the side and a man holding a mug and a plate of cookies walks in. Lightning doesn't recognise the man in green with white hair, but Ruby seems surprised by the man who walked in

???: Lightning Farron

Lightning: 'sup

???: Ruby Rose… (Leans forward towards Ruby's face) You have silv—

Lightning: Ahem!

The other 3 turns to the stoic looking girl after her outburst, the girl with a monotoned voice asks

Lightning: Don't you think you're a little too close? Are you a lolicon?

The man was shocked from the absurd question even dropping his calm demeanour he had just moments ago

???: Sorry that was thoughtless of me, it wasn't my intention.

The man returns to being completely serious after being slightly thrown off by the girls' question

???: So where did you learn this?

The scroll displaying Ruby's skills with a scythe and Lighning's fighting ability.

Ruby: S-Signal Academy.

???: And you?

Lightning: Same.

He turns back to Ruby

???: They taught you to use one of the most dangerous weapons ever designed? (asking Ruby)

Ruby: Well, one teacher in particular.

???: I see... And you managed to have reached that level of ability at just school? (Asking Lightning)

Lightning: Pretty much.

He puts the cookies on the table in front of Ruby and Lightning. Ruby tentatively picks one up, eats it in a single bite, and then, not seeing any rebuttal, shovels the rest into her mouth. Not leaving a single one for Lightning

Lightning seeing her gluttonous friends puffed out cheeks decides to pull her cheek for the second time today.

Lightning: Share next time

The man and Glynda smile at the two

???: It's just that I've only seen one other scythe-wielder of that skill before. A dusty, old crow...

Ruby: That's my Uncle Qrow! He's a teacher at Signal. I was complete garbage before he took me under his wing. And now, I'm all like— Hooowaaah! Witchaaaa! (proceeds to make some karate-style poses and noises)

???: So I've noticed. And what are two adorable girls such as yourselves doing at a school designed to train warriors?

Lightning: I don't see what our appearances have to do with it.

Lightning who had to deal with bullying her entire life thanks to her appearance. sounded like she was ready to burst out into a fit of rage from such a vein question.

???: You're right but can you still indulge my curiosity

Lightning/Ruby: I want to be a huntress

???: You want to slay monsters

Ruby: Yeah! I only have two more years of training left at Signal! And then I'm going to apply to Beacon! (talking faster and faster with her enthusiasm growing) You see, my sister's starting there this year, and she's trying to become a Huntress, and I'm trying to become a Huntress 'cause I wanna help people. My parents always taught us to help others, so I thought, Hey, I might as well make a career out of it! (giggles) I mean the police are alright, but Huntsmen and Huntresses are just so much more romantic and exciting and cool and really, gosh, you know! (flips out at the last part, staring at the two with a wide, crazy smile)

???: And you? (Looking at Lightning)

Lightning: No offence but I don't know you so I'd rather not tell you.

???: (He looks at Ruby) Do you know who I am?

Ruby: You're Professor Ozpin. You're the headmaster at Beacon.

Lightning looks at her friend in disbelief. Not realising such an important person was the on questioning them

Ozpin: (smiling) Hello.

Ruby: Nice to meet you

Ozpin: Will you tell me now?

Lightning: (Sigh) Sure. It might disappoint you my ideal's aren't as noble as my friend's here. My mum had to retire from being an active huntress because she had me and my sister to look after. From a young age, she would tell us her tales about the people she saved and one day the realisation hit me because she retired for us that meant there would be people she can no longer help. So, it's my obligation to the people who couldn't be saved to become the strongest huntress I can be.

Ozpin: 'Two people who want to save people but with two completely different outlooks on life.'

Lightning: Now or in 2 years it doesn't matter much to m-

Ruby jumps over covering Lightning's mouth to silence her.

Ruby: She means yes!

Ozpin: Well. I guess you two should go home and get ready for tomorrow because your both will be starting tomorrow.
