Ancient Vampire in a Modern World

He rushed forward and ready to pluck the fruit of life anytime but then he heard footsteps coming from the back. He saw the bulky man that he encountered earlier. This was the strongest man in the camp and naturally, he was able to deflect the poison from his body. But it didn't wear off fully and he just able to maintain his strength.

His combat abilities have fallen down to 50% because of the effect of the smoke. He is not like Han Shin who has an antidote and was just pure and brute strength that he was able to move. From the day Cody was born he had always been tampering with his body. His parents were an agent and they have begun training him from the very day he was born. 

When he was able to think for himself he was already tampering with his body in an unorthodox method. He has already experienced being drowned countless times when he was three years old. He has been living in unfavourable conditions. 

After reaching ten years old his body had already been full of muscles and he can now live even under harsh conditions. He was able to walk through burning charcoal and he was able to stay underwater for 15 minutes. He also started living in the wild and when it was winter he only wore his underwear to tamper his body and make it resistant to cold. 

Years passed like that and naturally, his body had already created different antibodies as he was living in the wild for years. This is also the very reason as to why he was able to endure the sleeping poison. And this was also the reason why he was considered as the strongest person in close combat under their group. No one was able to defeat him in close combat even though he didn't even have an innate ability.

His mind also went through changes after playing Ravaryn which is why he was now considered as a peak high-level rank. His rank had gone up in the real world because of his own ability and without relying on superpowers. His actions were very commendable which is why he got the offer from different organizations and even the Union. But he chose the Silver Spoon organization because it is what his parents have told him. 

His parents were a top agent that came from the Silver Spoon organization and unlike him, they were an innate ability user. They are considered as top agents because of their hard work and also their innate ability. 

He rushed towards Han Shin as he saw that the man was rushing towards the tree which is their obligation to protect. They needed to protect the tree at any cost and he didn't want to fail because he would disappoint his parents. He poured all his strength and rushed towards Han Shin.

Han Shin was startled as he looked back at the rushing figure which he knew was faster than him. The old man was impressed by him. He had already sensed that Cody was different from the others as he gave off a natural aura and there is only a little bit of aura that was the same as other players. It only means that he was not a cultivator and doesn't have an ability. 

Han Shin had already encountered many innate ability users when he fought with the group. Some of them didn't even have the time to be able to use it while the other was that their powers were not that commendable. Being an innate ability user had two benefits on the body: first, you will have that certain power indicated in that innate ability and the second is you will be able to unlock or unbound the potential of being a human being.

A normal person like Cody could tamper their body to that level if they trained harshly and it still has a limit which they cannot cross even if they train ten times harder. Even with how hard they train they won't be able to stand a bullet and nuclear bomb. But there's a chance to deflect an arrow but it is only possible if you work really hard and train in a very harsh and brute way which is almost close to impossible. 

Cody held his combat knife in his hand as he strode his way towards Han Shin. Han Shin was so excited and nervous at the same time his goal was already in the palm of his hand as he stared at the tree of life and its fruit which was waiting for him to be plucked out. He then used his qi and supported his feet which increased the strength of his muscles. He was able to exert more force than before and his figure shot out towards the tree of life. 

The leader was very anxious he was able to see Han Shin's movement but even though he could follow his movements he was not able to pull out an arrow from the quiver and use it to attack Han Shin. His body couldn't keep up with his vision which was his weakness. He felt helpless as he watched Han Shin open his palm and his hands were only a centimetre away from the fruit of life. 

Han Shin stretched his arm and opened his palm as his body horizontally shot through the air towards the direction of the tree of life. His hands then connected to the fruit of life as he was still in the air and was still flying through. 

He plucked the circular fruit which is the fruit of life and carefully plucked it while he was still in the middle of the air. After landing on the ground he directly ran out and was intending to get away with the fruit of life in his hand. He put it in the pouch on his waist as he went through the direction of the leader who was still holding the bow and arrow that was already aiming at him. 

Han Shin was not afraid of the bow and continued running towards him. Because of the medicine, he took that enhances the mental capability he was now confident that he could block the arrow if he can't dodge it. 

The leader then locks his aim towards Han Shin as he loses his grip on the arrow and the string on his hand. The arrow shot in the air and it went directly towards Han Shin. He was not content and pulled another arrow from the quiver before placing it on the bow and pulling the string towards the end before letting it go. He did it several times as he aimed at Han Shin who was still going in his direction. 

The arrow was moving much faster than the previous one Han Shin moves in a zigzag line as he kept moving forward and trying to avoid the leader's attack. Even though he was moving like that it didn't even hinder the leader's movement. When the arrow was already going to hit him a materialized qi was already in the air and clashed with the arrow. Three materialized qi cost to divert the arrow into different directions. Then Another arrow came up and he also did the same thing as he did. 

He was now only a few breaths away from the leader which is why he sped up again. In his back, as he continued rushing forward in a zigzag line Cody was already getting closer and closer to him. The leader then pulled out a combat knife on his waist as he loosened the grip on the bow and let it fall on the ground. He was sure that he wouldn't be able to attack again using the bow because Han Shin was already nearby. 

He didn't expect to win but he was confident to be able to stop Han Shin and he also saw Cody chasing after Han Shin. He was sure that Cody could defeat Han Shin if they fought in a close combat without running but he was afraid Cody wouldn't be able to catch up to Han Shin. This is why he was going to do his best to stop Han Shin. 

He was not afraid of Han Shin because until now no one died in Han Shin's hands and they only got unconscious. He also didn't attack anyone with a fatal and dangerous attack. He didn't even use any pointy and dangerous weapons when he fought so he was just going to do his best until Cody caught up. 

He positioned himself in a fighting position as he waited for Han Shin to enter his range. Han Shin thought of going to the side and not engaging in a fight with the leader but for some unknown reason, he felt that he would be defeated if he went in that direction. The camp was full of traps and Han Shin was just lucky until now because he didn't even get caught in a trap.
