Another Life As Older Brother

William started to felt the cold invade his body. His body shivering so badly before finally the warm course through his body.

His eyes flinch a little. He felt it and try to open his eyes. He's inside an office looking room. There's a table, sofa, bookcase.

At the table, sit a beautiful woman figure sleeping. William still wearing his clothes before his death. He walked toward the girl and tapped her shoulder. 'When was the last time I touched people kindly?' He thought.

"Hey, wake up. You gonna catch a cold if you sleep here." William shook the girl. "Emm.." She groaning and scratching her eyes. She took a detailed look at who's waking her up.

"Ah, you finally came. I have been waiting for you." She said with a loving smile as if they haven't met in a long time. Not long after that her face change back to her playful face "Quick.. quick... Stand there in the middle of the room." She said while pushing Alan toward the middle room.

"Emm... Sorry, where are we again?" 'What's happening. I couldn't move.' William asked but still on his guard. He ready to pounce and kill on sight if he could move. "Relax, now." She said while snapping her finger.

A magic circle appeared below William and cage him there. "Wait! What is this?? I can't get out!! Hey, woman!! At least explain to me." William yell since he never being blocked by thin air.

"Yes, I will brief you on the short version. Don't ask a question." She said and shush William. William calmed himself and nod at her.

"Wait!!" William said before blacked out again. He then woke up to people calling something familiar. "Ageas nii-san. Wake up!! It's already lunchtime. Ageas nii." Someone called.

"What!? Where am I? Ugh.. my head hurts. What in the seven hell did I just witness? A dream? A nightmare?" William said clutching his head. "Ageas nii, we had to quick. Grandpa already waiting back home." a boy with white hair and red eyes said.

Soon a sting feeling invaded William's head. All kinds of memory started to surface and merge into one. "Is this the new me? I felt different. My hate is all gone." He said. Now his name is Ageas, Ageas Cranel. His younger brother is Bell Cranel and they lived with their Grandpa.

"Oooiii~ Ageas nii." Bell called him again. "Ah yeah, wait for me Bell." He replied while standing up and start walking behind Bell.

Along the way, Ageas start to arrange his memory. He didn't have much unless his life with his grandpa.

Arriving at the wooden house surround by field. The door looked open "We are home. Grandpa. Are you home?" No answer, even after Bell call him several time.

From Ageas' memory, this never happened before. "Let's just wait here. He will be more confused if we search for him when he got home." Ageas said to ease Bell.

Bell nod and agree with his brother, he had been admiring his brother since little. Ageas looked more muscular than him. He's strong and effective at doing work.

They continue to wait and wait but no one showed up. At least until someone from the neighbor came to their house. "Ageas, Bell. Your grandfather. He got attacked by goblin and fell into a river." he said in a hurry while catching his breath.

Bell already start running with him. Ageas grab an axe and throw it inside Gate of Babylon like it's his second nature. He stopped for a moment to think about what did he just do.

Then a yellow ripple started to appear beside him and the axe handle get out of it. He can grab and pull it out at will. After realizing he had been left behind by Bell. He ignored the detail and chase after him.

Inside the forest, there's a scene left behind after a fight. There's blood trail leading to a cliff with a river in between. Bell started to get gloomy.

For Ageas, it's kinda weird to suddenly have a brother and there's also an issue about him getting reincarnate by his wife.

Looking at Bell's face reminded him when he lost his parents. He tapped Bell's shoulder and try to find something to said from his memories.

"It's ok Bell. Don't be sad. It will only make Grandpa sad up there. Why don't we try to make him happy?" I said just to ease him down.

He sat there for a moment and look at me. His eyes show determination, a genuine pure feeling of determination. "Nii-san. I want to be a hero. Like what Grandpa told us in his story." He said.

'It's not like I never saw Danmachi film.' I smile looking at him. "Eh... Nii-san. You just smiled." Bell said with a shocked face.

"Hmm?" Ageas start to touch his lips. "Ah, the smile is gone." Bell said. "Anyway, what do you want to do now?" I ask him.

"I will go to Orario, to become an adventurer and start my own adventure." He said while gripping his hand tightly. "Okay, I will go with you." Ageas said again with his smile but this time Bell didn't comment on it.

"Eh? Nii-san coming too?" Bell looked surprised. "What? Do you want to leave me here alone? You're what I had left. No way I'm going to leave my unreliable brother go alone." Ageas said glaring at Bell.

Bell didn't get intimidated at all but he made a smiley face "Um... We will go to Orario." He said in confidence.

"Let's made Grandpa's grave first. So we can visit some other time." Ageas said and start to collecting stone. Bell also helped to collect some and we made it close to the cliff.

They offer their prayer to the grave and went back home. "Let's get ready. Tomorrow we will go on our journey." Ageas said to Bell. He tried to say something to let Bell forget about the event.

'Luckily that I watch Danmachi. At least, I can trust this brother of mine. I might doubt him if not.' Ageas said while reviewing both his memory.

"Nii-san. Will you get inside the same Familia as me?" Bell asked Ageas. Ageas stopped at his track so do Bell. Bell looked nervous waiting for his brother's answer.

"Yeah, I will follow and protect you but don't depend on me too much, okay?." Ageas said while continue moving forward. Bell smiles widely "Yes!! Let's prepare. Nii-san.".

"You really are a troublesome brother you know that? Hahaha..." Ageas laugh and felt nostalgic. It's been a long time since he last laughed. From his memory in Danmachi world, he's a serious person that never smiles or laughs. Now that both memories merge into one. He still got the peaceful feeling from his revenge and made him a little soft.
