Another Life As Older Brother

"Woah!!! Nii-san. Look! The city is this big." Bell said in front of the gate. "Thank you for the ride." Ageas said thank you to the man that brought both of them to Orario when he passed by the village.

"Oi, Bell. Say thanks to this uncle first." Ageas said scolding Bell that already watching how tall the wall and how big the gate was. "Ah! Thank you uncle, to let us hitchhike to Orario." Bell quickly run beside Ageas and bow to the man.

He looked like the usual middle-age man that brought things to sell in the city. "It's okay boys. It's nice looking at young people so excited to become an adventurer. Hahaha... Then, I will take my leave. Both of you, work hard to strive to the top okay?" He said while leaving both of us and enter the city. Ageas and Bell stuck at the gate waiting to get past the security.

The sound of horses that pulled a carriage mix with the sound of people chattering in the queue. never thought I will feel more alive right now. We walk dragging the sand on the path to be brought by the wind. I never thought I had much free time to notice my surroundings in detail.

"Next!!" The guard called us with a sound loud enough to be heard by the people around him. I and Bell went to him since we're next in line from the queue. "Sorry, we didn't have any identification yet, from Orario." I said to the point to help him fasten the process.

He nodded to me then to his friend "You two can go, do a body check there and you good to go." He said while pointing us toward his friend at the back. "Thank you." I said while slipped pass him.

We got body checked for something illegal while the other guard looked for a poster if they got out faces or not. "You two are clear." He said and bring us inside the city. "Welcome to adventure city of Orario." He said while opening the door outside.

Bell's eyes glimmer with enthusiasm. He exclaimed so loud when entering the city "Woah!! Nii-san. Let's hurry!!" He said and start running blowing some dust along his path.

I can't blame him. Bell's 14 years old, small thing still could make it excited, while my age here is 18 years old. The same as my age at the Earth.

I made a light run to chase Bell. The crowd bustling left and right covered my sound. Adventurer walk pretty much everywhere, the city looked lively. The sound of cheering also annoyed shout from adventurer rang across the street.

Bell asked adventurer one by one for familia. Even I couldn't catch up to him. "Nii-san, there's familia there. Let's ask them." Bell said while jogged in place and running toward the direction he pointed out. He bumped into someone and made her fall. "Ah! Sorry, are you okay?" Bell said while helping her stand.

"No, it's okay. May I know your name? I'm Syr Flova." the girl had light grey eyes and hair color wearing a maid outfit and holding a broom. She smiled sweetly toward Bell. "Yes, I'm Bell, Bell Cranel. I'm sorry for bumping into you." Bell said while made a 90-degree bow to her.

"I told you to stop running, didn't I? Relax for a second." I stepped out of the crowd meeting both of them. "I'm sorry for the trouble my brother did to you miss." I said while also apologizing with Bell to Syr. "Oh, no it's fine. This might be fate anyway. I'm Syr, Syr Flova. Nice meeting both of you." Syr said while smiling at us.

"We will stop by later, we need to take care of something first. Excuse us and Thank you very much." I said while leaving with Bell. "Nii-san, why are we leaving in a hurry? You said it yourself to take it slowly." Bell said curiously.

"Because that place is for people eating. We haven't eaten anything from this morning but we still need to find a place to sleep tonight. With our spare money, we can last for 2 days maybe but if we got familia. We got a temporary living place." I explain while our stomach is rumbling as I explain. Both of us laugh awkwardly at the situation.

Our journey started. We ask one by one to join a familia. Everyone started by rejecting us when they look at Bell but reconsider when I got insight. I could see it in their eyes, so I reject the offer and leave with Bell, every single time.

At first, Bell started questioning my decision but held his question but after the second and third time, he realized that he's holding me back to accept a familia.

"Ageas Nii-san. Is it really ok to reject all the offers like that?" Bell started asking nervously. His step became slower every time he said a word, He avoiding to look at my face.

"What are you saying, Bell? I told you, I will protect you. We are in this together. No need to think about it too much." 'As much as I want to go adventure alone. My lonely life already ended.' I said after stop on my step and look at Bell. I throw a smile at him then pat his head.

"Let's go. Someone said we should just search at the guild." I said to Bell. The place was even more crowded than the bustling market. Some just chatter between friends or party. Reporting between adventurer and guild staff. The sound combined and made it more lively.

"Excuse me, I want to be an adventurer!" Bell said to the guild staff. "Aha ha... Please wait a second." The guild staff seems troubled. I walk toward Bell and give him a knock on his head "Seriously, Bell. Do I need to keep my eyes on you all the time? You need to save me some face." I said while pushing Bell's head down.

"I'm sorry for my brother's conduct." I said to the guild staff. "No... It's okay. My name is Eina, Eina Tulle. For registering please fill this form. Have you entered a certain familia? Please fill this box for the familia's name." Eina explained while giving us the registration form.

"Emm... We still haven't joined any familia. Is there any familia that's recruiting at this moment? We should be fine with any but the familia had to accept both of us." I said while giving her back the paper after I fill it in. Bell followed after that.

Eina receive the papers with both hands "Hmm... Actually, there's one particular familia that didn't have any requirement but the familia is new and had no member. Are you sure about this?".

"Yes, just make sure the God is okay with us." I said confirming our choice. "Then, I will write the familia name for you. Hestia Familia." Eina said while mentioning the name so we knew who's the God. Not like I never would have a guess about the familia but looked like fate can't be changed.

"Now, please wait for confirmation. It should be done tomorrow. Cranel-san." Eina said to both of us since we share the same family name. "Thank you, Eina-san. We will take our leave." I said while giving Bell a cue. Bell also said thank you to Eina and we start walking out of the guild. Leaving Eina which still kept her smile on her face.

I stretch myself while walking with Bell. "Aaah!! Finally, that's one done. Shall we eat at that place? The waitress looked fond of you." I said while gave a sneering look at Bell. His face turned red with a blush on it "Eehh.. What are you talking Nii-san? If handsome look, aren't you looked more handsome?" Bell said while lowering his voice over and over by each of his words.

My face turned ugly after listening to Bell 'Stop it! Please stop, little brother. Why you looked like a maiden in love?' the first thought that came up looking at Bell. Both my face and Bell had the same hair color and same eyes color with the difference my face looked m.a.t.u.r.e and my hairstyle slick back hairstyle with more m.a.t.u.r.e feature face like my sharp looking eyes. While Bell got the innocent looking face with no hairstyle and round innocent eyes.

"Is this the place?" I said while looking around, this should be the place where Bell bumped with Syr. The place looked totally different, the first time we were here, no one was around the place but now it's more packed than the guild.

Laughing and cheering could be heard from the outside. People drinking at eating to their fill with the sound of happiness in the voice.
