Beyond The World Plan

Outside the gate is only me, Princess Violet and Franz, her knight captain. Our opponent is a chimera, an A-Rank monster that can destroy a single town alone. Right now, everyone in town is evacuating from there.

"Franz, we will confront it." (Lily)

He nod me, so I run toward it. I swing my sword but as expected of A-Rank monster, he can dodge it easily. It's hard for me to just simple move like that since I must control my power when using this sword. No one can blame it for this thing is too strong.

Even it can dodge it, Franz already in front of it and thrust his sword. The sword he use is a long sword that made by high quality material. I can tell it just with a simple glance.

His sword hit it but it is no use since it skin is too tough. Not a scratch can be seen where the his sword hitted. Hurriedly, he leap back, keep a distance from it. However, the snake tail just move and show his fang. He can't avoid it since the gap is already too close.

"[Holy Barrier]!" (Violet)

The snake tail unfortunately failed to kill him. A light mana shield is block his way right before it can reach Franz. It hitted the barrier hardly and causing the snake part is taken back to its position.

"[Wind Slash]!" (Lily)

Not wasting a single chance, I use 60% of my power right now. A strong wind came from my sword and cut it fur. Still not good enough, huh. As an impact of I do, I bounced back a little. Seems like I must improve my endurance next time.

Now the chimera turn his attention ti me. The lion part opening his mouth and roar. His roar is too strong for me to handle, makes me blow away. Fortunately, I still can landed safely. Now the chimera is take the turn to rushing to me.

"Lend me the power of light, Strike down my enemy [Sprit Magic : Light Javelin]!" (Violet)

The javelin come with a high speed. Presence it power, the chimera distracted and focus to evade it.

"No, you can't! <Floral Art> [Thorn Bind]" (Lily)

From the ground appear thorn tendrils and quickly tied it so it can't dodge it. The javelin hits the chimera and make it thrown back hit the rock behind it.

"We did it." (Violet)

Violet turn her face and smile with our achievement. However Franzand me not letting our guard down even a second. We can't ensure we kill it yet. Our vision got blurred since the dirt is flying around the chimera. It probably still alive.

Even the situation is looks like we won it, however we still do not know the truth. When the enemy looks like dead but if it wasn't confirmed yet, then the battle still go on. The one who lost their focus is the one who will die.

The lesson I got from Ray is repeating in my head. Everything can happen in the battle, so never turn your attention from enemy until the result can be seen by yourself. Maybe, it same for Franz since he is a royal knight from the kingdom.

Right at the moment, a giant fireball shot in high speed and aimed perfectly to the princess. Not wanting anything bad happen, I began to move to cut through it. I am not sure if I can make it in time, at least I try it first. But the one who move first is Franz. He hurriedly grab the hand of the princess and pull her while he switch his position with Violet.

Since our distance is far enough, I can't respond to it. I still running to hime as fast as I can but the fireball is the one who arrive at him. It explode and blow his body away.

"Gaaaaagghhhhhh!!!" (Franz)

He receive so much damage and his skin is burned. Violet herself is shocked with her knight decision. He keep her safety as priority even he can leave it be. A truly brave knight has gone from this world.

"Franz.... Why you ended up like this..." (Violet)

Still not accepted with the situation right now, her face is completely turned from her previous state. From the face of joy to the face full of sorrow. She can't hold her tears fall off from her face.

*Rooooooooaaaaaaaarrrrgh*

The chimera let out his roar and charge toward Violet. She is still not moving from her position. Rather than that, she is kneeling and crying. It can't be help, I have to deal with this thing alone for now.

I do not know how long I can do that. I do not know how strong he is and do not know with my power right now I can face him alone. But I also can't let that thing kill Violet. If she is killed then the demon has complete his objective.

I take a battle stance holding my katana. I will take a risk for this time.

"I will not let you touch the princess even a single nail!" (Lily)

Once again, I swing my blade as hard as I can and a strong wind blowing along side with it. I thrown back far away from my own move. I still can't hold on my feet with that much force from the wind.

The wind itself can be seen coming to the chimera. It speeds is exceed the speed from fireball before. Even he tried to dodge it but still not fast enough. As a result, one of his head is cut down and fell to the ground.

The head of goat is already gone, leaving the lion heads and snake tails alone. Suffering from the damage, it lost his balance. Since one of the main part is lost, only one main brain still working and remain to be cut. Now it is trying to gather the control of his own body to the remain head.

I who still felt pain since the attack before start to standing up. At the same time, the princess itself leave her position and turning her face to the chimera with full of hatred. This is bad, if she lost to the anger then the outcome will never be good.

Grab my katana, I hold the pain and running to the princess. I tried to at least make her calm and think about the situation again but I was too late. She already chant a large scale magic from the sky. The same one she use to kill the orcs.

"You....!!! I will never forgive what you do! I WILL KILL YOU WITH MY OWN HAND!!!" (Violet)

This magic is totally different from what I thought. It has different aura from the first one and I felt a lot of danger on it. The chimera start to regain his body control. He aware of danger he will face but still not have a chance for running. The magic's chant is complete and already casted.

"I sacrifice all of my power to the light. Fulfill my call and bring punishment to the world! [JUDGEMENT RAY]!!!" (Violet)

The light gathered together and merged into a ball. It drops to the ground from the sky. It size is almost as same as moon we can look from here. Inside it is full of destruction power. It is the most dangerous thing that I have ever seen in my life.

Violet looks like losing her balance. Her body is sway losing her power and her consciouses. She doesn't have any power left to move away from it.

Bearing my pain, I force my self to use [Airdash] and take her away from here. When I take her body, the pain I felt is stronger that I can bear it anymore.

"This is bad, I can't move my feet. Not a chance we can survive this." (Lily)

I losing any idea I have, I only can pray for a miracle appear in front of me. Then I can hear a voice that I do not know where it comes from.

"Don't lose your hope yet! Make a barrier and use my power. I can't let one of my favorite contractor die in this pathetic state like this. After all you have a promise from the bottom of your heart that must be fulfilled together."

Hearing that, I feels like that my thought coming back to me. I follow the sound guide and make a barrier.

"<Floral Art> [Wood Barrier]!" (Lily)

Gathering mana from my surrounding, I turn it into woods and make it as my barrier. Then I make one more thing that voice order.

"Spirit of wind hear my call and lend me your power! <Spirit's Enchancement>!" (Lily)

I enchance the woods with the power from a spirit. The barrier now is more stronger than before. It strength is multiplied more than hundred times from the real one. So, this is the power of the spirit.

I wonder when I make a contract with a spirit but there is no time for thinking about that. I hope this is strong enough to defend us from the light.

Not long after that, I hear an explosion and the earth began shaking. Such a force, it maybe can destroy the capital with this much power alone. The sound of wood cracking can be heard. Please hold it a little longer.

The earth is start to calming down. The wood barrier I made before heavily damaged. If that state lasts longer than that, I am sure there is not a single chance we still alive.

The barrier is broke down and the field in front of us now leaving a big hole due to the explosion power. only the ground where the barrier made is not ruined. I checked the town and relieve that it still safe without a trace of damage. The radius of explotion only until where we stand up.

I checked the chimera and find his body is already turned to dust. I finally can relax my body after a day full of battle. But still, I can't move my feet so I sat on the ground and put Violet on my side.

I check her condition now and make sure she is all right. She still breath and I can feel her heartbeat. She is just exhaustion due too lack of mana and maybe because her sadness before. I look up at the sky and the cloud is clear by now.

That remind me, how's Ray going? He is challenging a demon to fight with him and make a big grin. Surely right now the demon fight him with all of his power since no one can keep their composure from his provocation.

That bring up the memory when I was training with Ray. He abused me with a word that I can't forgive. As the result, I lost to my anger and can't touch him a single bit. He said when comes to fight make sure to not lost my composure. When you bring your emotion to the battle then the result never be good.

It was a long time ago since now I can beat him. He said that me has surpassed him and think that no one can beat my speed. He also praise me for succesfully make my own technique. I wonder if he will praise me again. But, looking at the condition now... I am not sure this will end good.

Now I was wondering when I make a contract with a spirit. I am sure that in my life, I am not having any bound with a spirit since I not really put my interest to fight. Even if I interest with it from the start, still I am sure not a single spirit want to make a contract with a curse child like me. And spirit is choosing a contractor by itself.

The pain on my feet is gradually gone. I can move my feet a little now. Violet still asleep and Ray is not coming back yet. It has passed the midnight now. I start feeling drowsy but I can't close my eyes since I am the only one who can guard her. She already use everything of her mana for revenge of her knight. I pat her blonde hair without caring her status. This is the best that I can do to tell her that everything is okay.

From the forest I can see a light that shine brighter than a moon. It must be Ray. If has come to this then the battle is almost offer.

Violet start to regain her conscious now.

"Glad you finally wake up princess." (Lily)

She rubbing her eyes and look to me. She remember what happen and tears is can be seen from her eyes. I hug her and pat her hair gently.

"There there...just let it out everything you felt now. You can cry as long as you want. I know it's hard so you can do that. I will be here for you when you need." (Lily)

"*Sniff* UWAAAAAAAHHHH..." (Violet)

She began to cry I and hold her tightly. I look to the forest and she the light is already went up to the sky. It shine is turn the dark sky into blue like it is still noon and fading away. He made it huh... I hope he is allright without fatal wound even I know that's impossible for him.
