Beyond The World Plan

Went deeper into the forest, you can see a hill where the water of the river come from. It's mid day and currently I and Cecil take a rest and have a lunch with some jerky and bread at the foot of the hill.

The location of the bear is in one of the cave at this hill. This place have many disadvantage since how worse the morphology in this area. The hill pretty steep and we will not have many area to move since how narrow the path in this hill. This mean, I need to think some trick to win over this guy.

After lunch, we continue our walk to the hill. Along the way to the hill, I found many berries so I pick it up. It maybe useful to lure the bear out and set the trap for it. Fortunately, I didn't need to do something bothersome like that.

It's quite unexpected but we found the bear around the berries field.

"Well, let's kill it and then go back to the town."

"Wait master! Please let me do this one." (Cecilya)

I look at her face for a while and scratching my head.

"Are you sure? I mean, this monster is tough. Maybe, it can kill you."

"Just if he can, right?" (Cecilya)

She smugging herself full of pride. I don't know where she learn this.

"It's obviously from you. Can't you tell by yourself?" (Beelzebub)

From my shadow, appear a beauty with dark-violet wing, wearing a black dress with red crimson patterns. Her hair is black and her eyes color is the same as her dress patterns color. She is a bit taller than me and standing beside me. No one can see her except me who possess the <Spirit's eye> that I got from making contract with Sylph, the queen of wind spirit.

"Are you sure it is me? Not someone else?"

"Of course. Everytime you getting carried away in the battle, you always become like that." (Beelzebub)

I let my sigh out and look at her with one eye.

"You got me."

Cecil looking at me with a weird face.

"Master, who are you talking with?" (Cecilya)

"Mmm...myself?"

"O-kay...?" (Cecilya)

And it's become awkward since to anyone who seeing me will think I am crazy. Well, someone without this ability will never understand it.

"You should trust her a bit. Didn't you took that girl because of her capability." (Beelzebub)

Hearing Beelz let out her thought making me has no choice. Even if no one will know this conversation but still, I need to know how far she could fight with her power right now.

"Moreover, you intended took the quest to test her power even though you know it had wrong assessment." (Bellzebub)

She really got me.

"Yeah...alright, You were right! Cecil, I let you to fight alone with it."

"Is that right?" (Cecilya)

She seems like full of excitement.

"Yes. But if the situation turn bad, I will take it down."

"Understood." (Cecilya)

She slowly approaching the monster while taking out the 'flashbang' potion from her bag. I do not know why I named it like that but with the light that bright, it can blind everyone around it. I am sure there is something similar with that potion from my last world since these word came right away when I tested it. Moreover, it's sounds cool.

She throw the 'flashbang' and quickly cover her eyes. I also do the same thing. A moment later when the break sound can be heard, white light covering the area. After a while, it fades and I open my eyes. Cecil who didn't want to lose any moment start attacking.

Of course after using the potion, it will be an advantage for her. Frenzy bear known because of it fericious power and speed. An archer will have a huge disadvantage when facing this monster. But, with it blind state right now, the attack pattern of the monster can easily read so it's really make the archer job easier.

"But still, in just three days, she become someone that too hard too handle."

"Don't ask me." (Beelzebub)

Beelz who right beside me turn her face away from me.

"It's a statement, not question."

"But you will ask me to think the reason of it." (Beelzebub)

"It's normal right? Since we are now bind by the contract."

"But it no means I will always help you. Also, you can ask your other partner if you have question." (Beelzebub)

"Now wait. Why we are fusing around about this?"

"Don't know." (Beelzebub)

Somehow, I can feel somethings wrong happen around us. The target probably me and Cecil but she only focusing herself on that bear and ended up with me and Beelz. It make me hard to control my emotion. Fortunately, I still can raise up my guard. I tracking where it come from and I can feel something nearby. I approaching that thing and found something inside a hole at the tree. When I try to check it, I can feel a killing intent in front of me and something coming targeting my neck.

I quickly evade the attack by crouching my head and move behind a step. The tree in front of me cut down and I can see someone behind the tree. A girl with red hair color swinging a great sword around. Her body is slender yet she can swing that sword easily. She also wearing a red mask on her face.

"It's a surprise someone as crazy as you can resist the d.e.s.i.r.e incense that close." (Red haired girl)

"Crazy?"

"Talking with no one?" (Red haired girl)

She watched me, huh?

"Well, at least I'm not as crazy as someone who cut down a big tree just to kill someone."

I can feel hostility from her eyes. I don't remember if I have seen her before. As long as I remember, everyone that have a grudges with me just someone who make a problem with my girls.

"Maybe because of your face?" (Beelzebub)

"Is my face that worse?"

She start swinging her sword again aiming at my body. I jump over her sword, step on it and leaping over her.

"That's close."

She hurriedly turn her body when she  watched me jump over her.

"Oh, you can evade it, huh?" (Red haired girl)

"Well, that's a simple attack you know. By the way, are you sure you are attacking the right person?"

She attempt to attacking again but I quickly strike up the conversation. She who hear my question hesitate to attack and answer me.

"I am really sure you are the right person." (Red haired girl)

"How do you know?"

"Is your name Ray?" (Red haired girl)

"Eee...yes."

"Then you are the right person." (Red haired girl)

She grip her sword firmly and charge toward me. Agaim, it's a simple attack so I easily evade it.

"Hey at least tell me your name!"

"Maria." (Red haired girl)

The moment she answer me, she swinging her sword attempting to cut me. I take my swords and stop her sword.

"Well Maria, I am also bored if I do nothing though, so I will take you up. Tell me the one who send you?"

"I'm not gonna tell you." (Maria)

"Nevermind, I will know it eventually though."

She raise up her sword and swing her sword powerfully to the ground. I step behind and the moment her sword hit the ground, I strongly charge forward with my swords making an 'X' in front of my c.h.e.s.t.

She hurriedly pull up her sword from ground and enter a defense state. Our swords meet each other and she stopped my attack completely. She push me trough her sword while I jumped over her again. Knowing that, she turn her body and swing her sword to me. Reacting to that, I leap to my back and casting a magic.

"<Creation Art> [Mana Blade]!"

9 blades appear out of nowhere in front of me. The blades made from mana that I manipulates and form like a real blade. The blade will break if I wanted to. Moreover, those blades sharp like a real one.

The blades move forward, and attacking Maria when she is not ready. She can't defense with her sword right now and it is too heavy so her movement limited. She let her sword go and attempt to dodge but she can't. Her movement completely sealed because her feed frozen. She is too focus to me so she didn't realize it. It will wound her severely and will be my win if nothing wrong. However, it's not simple as I thought.

She enchance her body and blocking the blades with her hands. She manages to survive with her power but the blades still injured her. Her hands bleeding because its sharpness and bound to her back because of the impact. Yeah, [Mana Blade] is not a simple attack. Right the moment it breaks, it will release the energy that consentrate inside when the mana formed together before it completely breaks. It's a double type attack with only one magic.

Not wasting my time, I dash approaching her to know who send her. I touch her body and cast [Life Drain] to gain her memory. It's weird, I feel something soft when touch her body. My mind progressing fast and I know where I touch. But before I realize that, I send her backward because of the impact of [Life Drain]. I just using it a little to search her memory from a week ago. Through her memory I know that Asahi is the one who send her.

Nothing much that I can get only with one week memory but I know that this girl has completely fell to his hand. I do not know how long she has fell but I am sure she at the point where she can't go back.

"You are holding yourself, right?" (Maria)

Oh, she is still standing. It's impressive to see someone can manage their conciousnesses after this skill casted. Well, it would be a normal case if I reduce the amount of range.

"Pretty much true. I don't want this to be over soon. Pick up your sword, I will be waiting."

She stand up and walking to where her sword fell before. When she takes her sword, she telling me something.

"Are you sure about this? If you die then it's your own fault." (Maria)

"Don't worry, I will not die that easily."

I playing a bit with my swords while I waiting for her. With a smug, I stop playing the swords and getting myself ready.

"Come to me with all you got."

"Sure, I won't hold myself." (Maria)

The tense raising up. She become more serious than before and it makes me a little bit serious too. It's been a long time for me to have a battle like this. I will enjoying this to the fullest.
