Blood Emperor's Lazy Doctor [Hiatus]

Chapter 6 - Curiosity Killed the Cat.

That's my mothers pendant!

This pendant was made of jade crystal. The most rarest form of purple jade at that. It was said to be priceless. This was not only due to its rarity but its effects. As long as one wore this, even the strongest poison couldn't harm the holder.

So it was stolen.

But who would have thought it was my uncle who took it. She was only half shocked at this discovery. She had suspicions on what had happened after all.

C.a.r.e.s.sing the silver that hugged the jade, a well crafted rabbit designed into its grooves, Hong Luo slips into a daze.

When she arrived in the manor, there were very few items she took along with her. One of those items was this pendant. she had worn it for all her life. she had grown a liking to it when she was an infant, so her mother gave it to her to play with, and she never got it back. Since then it hadn't left her neck.

One day after being knocked around, she lost it. She assumed it broke off in the middle of the beating, she even looked for days but couldn't find it. Even though looking for it increased her chances of getting hurt. She didn't care. That was the only thing she had to remember them by. Her one and only memento.

Pausing to ponder a thought. Do I get revenge against this injustice...? Do I go out of my way to make my uncle suffer, using up lots of energy to ruin him so badly his mother disowns him?

Stroking a nonexistent beard, contemplatively.

Nope! Too much work, I'll pass on that idea. Mentally balling it up, and tossing it over her shoulder.

After fastening the pendant around on her neck, and emptying the rest of the contents in her space, she notices a curtain that looked out of place. Opening the folds, revealing what lay beyond. A painting?

The light not being bright enough, forced her to squint.

What?!

Her blood runs cold.

This woman she's... Why would uncle have this in his study?

A feeling of disgust permeates her body. Could my uncle... no no no, I refuse to think about it! The mere thought makes her livid enough for her to want to burn this place to the ground.

Calming herself she settles for taking the painting and stuffing it in her space. Refusing to let it remain a second longer.

Stopping short of leaving, she turns round, re-entering the study.

An hour passes by, she leaves the study with a satisfied look on her face. Taking a short cut through her uncles bedroom, leaving time to look for more paintings, if there are any.

After not finding anymore, she detects movement.

Hong Luo jumps out the window. Stopping short of leaving. Curiosity gets the better of her, sneakily peering into the room.

I wonder who that bastard uncle is carrying, or maybe it's not him at all? She was too lazy to confirm or deny this.

(Very small smut warning below this point.)

Moments later, the door opens and two people come bursting in, locked in an intimate kiss. The man holding a petite girl in his embrace, not slowing down his passion, fiercely s.u.c.k.i.n.g her dry.

He leads the girl to the bed, gently placing her down, removing his outer clothing until he was nothing but skin.

Watching this outside the window, Hong Luo is shocked silly, frozen in place unable to advert her gaze.

Inwardly complaining, life didn't you just hear what I said a moment ago? Why are you doing this to me?

Despite her train of thought, the scene continues to unfold.

"Yu're, you're so breath taking, I can hardly stop myself, who told you to be so appetizing." His misbehaving hands grope her soft buns, taking in her youthful scent.

The girl weakly struggles, pouting her lips, "How can you say such words to me, do you have no shame?"

The man laughs, tearing open her clothes without warning, and smacks her firm bottom, making the girl yelp. "Yu'er you are such a tease. Be good and listen to daddy."

Crying out she weakly responds, "I'll be good, I'll be good, just be gentle."

Outside the window, Hong Luo unfreezes, forcing her comically gaping mouth closed, rushing home in regret, as fast as her legs could carry.

(Smut Warning has ended, you are safe now.)

She makes her way into her courtyard, throwing herself on the bed, she beats her pillow in outrage.

"I knew this family was messed up, but I didn't realize how messed up until this very moment. Father and daughter... what the hell! Does her mother know? If she does, that's even worse." That was her elder cousin and her uncle! How could they... how long have they.... ugh!

After a few minutes of screaming out the bitterness. She decides to throw this incident to the back of her mind, as far as possible, in hopes she never has to think about it again. Whatever taboos they wish to commit in private, has nothing to do with me.

In the cloudy sky, lightning pierces through, striking the land.

Along the border of the Twilight Continent, within a mountain range. Inside an open field, a man covered in blood makes an appearance. It was almost as if he came riding on that lightning bolt. His face hidden behind a blood stained mask, he rushes through the lands.

Avoiding the rips in space with ease. As if he was taking a stroll through the garden, free and unperturbed. Even though it was a field of death, that could take like in the blink of an eye.

Rushing behind him, disturbing the grass in their wake, are several shadowy figures that aren't so lucky. Each one getting caught in the rips. Being kissed by the lips of death, souls lost to the void.

As if on purpose, with every rip the man avoids, a shadow gets lost in that very one. Cries of pain and horror ring out, the other shadows ignoring as they carry on their way. Machines that know nothing else but to run after the man in the lead.

After several minutes of this game of cat and mouse. All the shadows lose their lives to the rips, but the man still continues on, heading further into the Twilight continent, disappearing into the distant land.

The field is brought back to silence. Leaving no sign of what just occurred. The wind playing its lull, c.a.r.e.s.sing the thin blades of grass, and stirring loose dirt.

. . .

The next day, the rain comes to an end. The sun shining brightly in the sky, the dark clouds unveiling the pure blue. A welcome sight to the birds leaving their shelters, flying out and singing their praises.

Adorn in her raggedy clothing, Hong Luo skips her way through the forest, outside the capital. This forest just happens to be connected to the patch of woods that her courtyard sits inside of. This allows her to come and go as she pleases without disturbance.

The forest isn't small but it isn't big either. Stretching a few hundred miles to and fro. Inside are home to many spirit beast.

Many herbs are farmed in this forest, so are weapon materials. Making traffic here normal, but after such a heavy rain, there's no one carrying out their business.

Dozens of miles in, perched on a tree, eating a fruit, Hong Luo muses, "Can't go into the city looking the way I do. I'd be chased out of the shops before I can even say hello."

Finishing off her snack, l.i.c.k.i.n.g up the stray juices at her finger tips, "I need meat, fruit and vegetables can only help me so much. Little Soul was right, with this body, I am not the winds match. Which is quite depressing."

Jumping off the tree, running here and there, sending out small pulses of spirit energy.

"Where oh where to go."

A slash enters her ears making her stop and go "oh." Turning towards the sound, she makes it her destination, an excited smile played on her lips.
