Creating My Own Army

The sound of swords clashing and arrows could be heard in front of a castle gate said Castel is where the ruling family lives the war was lost and their armies were pushed back all the way to their gates and their loss was because they lacked the military force to match the invading armies leading the last of the forces is one of the remaining two generals and the one responsible for the death of more than 30% of the invading armies troops alone; with his leadership skills and planning. this war could have been won had he been giving command of the entire armies from the beginning of the war but because of this young age of just 25 years old and the fact he inherited his position after the death of his father after being his second in command for just 8 years.

the older generals not knowing that most of his father attainments was due to his ideas and planning didn't take his ideas and plans seriously and preferred following the older generals plans and only was given the commanding rights of the armies after the death of the older generals did the opposite side started too many troops that they would have considered retreating and giving up the war fearing that the other border kingdom will attack them after the are spent in this war and they will fall too. if it wasn't for the peace treaty that said kingdom singed with them because they had a target of their own and they need it not to start a war with them at the moment.

so with the goal of dealing the invading troops as much as he can while the remaining general will take some troops and take the royal family being the crown prince his mother and sister to safety across the sea to meet up with the kingdom of Nara army which the queen's father leads towards here to help his son in law but due to the distance between the kingdoms and the war that he was fighting that the invading army took advantage of to attack he is too late.

so in the courtyard of the castle standing with two short swords bloodied next to him is the king who is fighting with his soldiers after refusing to abandon them and leave with his family, is our MC 'Ajamu' which means ' he who fights for his d.e.s.i.r.es' is fighting and leading his men to kill and buy time for the escape of the royal family and in hops that reinforcements will come from the in-laws of the king.

so standing like an unbreakable wall, with the grace of a king more the king himself fighting and managing his troops like a beast while defending his king whom he loves and respects like his own father for he and his father were brothers in every way but blood and for the fact that he sent his family with the royal family to escape he vowed to keep his safe with his life, a vow which he kept when he took the sword blow aimed to the kings head-on with his sword, but due to days of continuous fighting in the war and close to no rest his grip on his sword couldn't handle the blow and the strike cut deep through his shoulder blade and stoped after striking his left lung.

the king noticed this and strike his sword through the heart of the one holding the sword and supported Ajamu back while the troops covered for them.

the king: " Ajamu hold on I will take you to the medics so please hold on" he said with a worried and pained voice.

our Mc felt his body giving up after all the fighting and planing his body couldn't take it anymore

Ajamu: " it's ... okay " cough blood " it's ... been .. an honor .. my king "

The King: " no no no don't, Ajamu stay with me I promised your father to protect you and begged you to leave with the royal family but you refused and insisted on staying and promised me to survive so you will okay" the king said shaking Ajamu and hurting his footsteps and shouting "MEDIC".

reaching the Medic the king gives him to him fast and places him in a comfortable position and screams "save him", the medic checks on Ajamu the freezes and starts crying then says "sorry but he is dead"

the king freezes the screams "WHAT DO YOU MEAN SAVE HIM OR GET ME SOMEONE WHO CAN RIGHT NOW" the medic answers:" I am really sorry but his heart has already stoped "

right after that war horns can be heard and war cries of an army are heard " FOR NARA"

the medic says happily: "my king the Narayan army has arrived we are saved" but the king is still looking and embracing Ajamu's body with tears in his eyes whispering " I am sorry I failed to keep you safe you were young you had a whole life in front of you yet you died saving me, I am so sorry"

then he grabs his sword with eyes that screamed anger and pain and said: " they will die I will make them and their kingdom suffer and pay for this and after taking their capital I will build a statue of you in their courtyard and this one and it will mention you as the man that won us this war and saved your king.so don't worry about us or your family I will give them the royal status and treatment, and rest in peace " then went out screaming " FOR AJAMU"

and this day was marked as the death of the greatest General and warrior that earth has seen and for others far away from this world the rise of the one true king
