Dark King: Revenge Is Painful

Currently, the only guarded mansion of the Spirit island was in total chaos. Some beings that should not have escaped from their seals had been set free and these beings were running rampant, killing any spirit that they came across.

The new beings numbered five and looked exactly like the other spirits except for the fact that their bodies emitted stronger violence with each passing second.

Hei Wang was far away from the chaotic mansion, but his Spirit Eyes instantly reduced this distance to observe these five creatures.

"Four Level 1 Devils(grade 1), and one Level 2 Devil (grade 1). It seems that they have been sealed as soon as they have transformed into Devils, thus not letting them increase their levels and grades." Hei Wang concluded leisurely.

"Devil?" Feng Xue'er, the noob, asked with interest.

Hei Wang did not keep her in the dark this time and explained as it would help her in future.

"As I said before, Humans are first generation life, while spirits are second generation life, meaning that the spirits have come from Humans."

"Similar to how spirits are the next generation of Humans, Devils are the next generations of spirits. They are the third generation life after spirits."

This cleared the Devil's identity, but Hei Wang did not stop his explanation.

"Humans cultivate their bloodline grades upgrading their physiques, Spirits cultivate their spirit grades forming their spiritual beads, but Devils cultivate their Violence to form Devil cores. The more violent a Devil is, the more chances for it to form a Devil core and raise in grades."

Feng Xue'er understood that Hei Wang was saying these words for her. But her face did not show any appreciation but instead looked cold making Hei Wang let out a playful chuckle.

Hei Wang turned towards Little Fish and used his Spirit Eyes on her.

As expected of his First spirit, Little Fish's stats were over the charts.

As for how strong she actually is, let us take a look on the power structure to understand.

It was known that one's strength increases by 10 times every two 'grades'. This meant that, a grade 3 human was ten times stronger than a grade 1 human of same level.

(Think of it as a comparison between a silver beast and a gold beast of same level!)

It was also known that one's strength increases by 10 times every two 'levels'. This meant that, a Level 3 human was ten times stronger than level 1 human of same grade.

A Spirit, as the second generation life, was naturally 10 times stronger than a human of same level and same grade. While a Devil was 10 times stronger than a spirit of same level and grade.

This meant that a Devil was 100 times stronger than a human of same grade and same level without taking the Devil's suppression into effect which would render humans useless.

Also, as Little Fish was a 'Supreme Spirit', her actual strength was a grade higher than spirits of same grade. This meant that she was comparable to a grade 5 Spirit when she was only grade four.

The reason that Hei Wang was still calm when faced with an existence humans could not even hurt was because of Little Fish's strength.

Before, he had ran away from the castle fearing that Little Fish would not recognise him, but his concern had vanished into air the moment Little fish had jumped into his arms.

With a grade five level 1 spirit by his side, there was no need to fear a level 2 grade one Devil even with the devil's suppression over spirits was taken into consideration.

The Devil's suppression was something that the third generation have over spirits who are second generation which make the spirits weaker by a whole grade.

But Hei Wang was still calm. After all, even with the suppression, Little Fish was probably on the same level as the Level 2 Devil. (The math shall be explained at the end of the chapter.)

While Hei Wang was calmly waiting on the beach, the situation in the huge mansion had deteriorated to the point of no return.

Not being able to bear the tyranny of the Devils anymore, the lord of the mansion stepped up to face these Devils on his own.

He was a level 3 grade 3 spirit, but under the Devil's suppression, his combat strength was reduced to level 3 grade two spirit, which was on the same level as the level 2 grade 1 Devil.

The spirit lord squinted his eyes unnaturally. Their ancestors had sealed these Devils under the mansion to extract the spirit beads these Devils had formed during their time as spirits, but he had not expected them to break free.

Moreover, the level 2 Devil that was watching him like a prey scared the shit out of him even when they were on the same level.

The Devils were naturally 'violent' and did not care about their life as much as the spirits letting the Devils exhibit their peak power.

As for spirits, they cried too much about their life that it would be miracle if they could use 50% of their strength efficiently. So the spirit lord feared the Devil even when they had similar amount of strength.

A level 2 Devil should not have appeared in these Devils as they should not have been able to cultivate as they were being suppressed, but somehow an anomaly had occurred which the spirit lord is going to pay for.

The Math: ( skip it if you don't want it as it is not related to the plot)

let level 1 grade 1 spirit have '1 strength'.

Grade+2=strength *10

Then level 1 grade 3 spirit has '10 strength'.

As every 'two' grades increase strength by 10 times, then every grade increase strength by 'Root 10', that is approximately 3.16 times.

Then level 1 grade 4 spirit has about '31.6 strength'

So Little fish's strength when faced with the Devil is 31.6.

Devil's strength;

Now a grade 1 level 1 Devil has '10 strength'

Since every 2 levels increase strength by ten, then every level increase strength by only 3.16.

So a grade 1 level 2 Devil has '31.6 strength'

Spirit lord's strength;

Level =3, so 10 points strength.

Effective Grade = 2, so another 3.16 times.

Total = 31.6
