Dawn Of Twilight

"Hey, Tobi! It's time to get on the carriage!" Elijah's loud voice resonated from the distance.

"Got it!" Wandering afar by himself was not only seeking unwanted attention, but also very dangerous. As such, Tobi could only give up on his scavenging plan, and return to the horse carriage.

Just at that moment, while he was returning to the horse carriage he suddenly felt a slight tremor within his mind world, as his instinct kept on screaming at him.

Little black wolves phantoms started appearing one after the other in his mental world, as the cerulean sea deleted rather quickly. Instantly attracting his attention.

Tobi's facial expression didn't change much, but instead hastened his movement, but bȧrėly reaching the limits of his body, as he didn't want to blow his cover too soon.

On the virtual map that was projected in his mind world, there was a large group of little black wolves phantoms closing in on their group and carriages. The phantoms were slowly encircling and surrounding them.

According to his mental world data, these dangerous lifeforms were likely to be vicious wolves!

"Vicious wolves!" Tobi's expression grew a bit dark as he recalled how the vicious wolves, could leave claw marks on a strong metallic plank.

A kind of wolf inhabiting the Great desert of Death. Savage and cruel, they were mostly hunting in packs. Their strength were estimated to be great, something the twilight children could not handle.

"Such strength, they are definitely not creatures that I can handle, purely by myself!"

Tobi quicken his steps as he thought and ran, he rushed towards Elijah and Matthew, saying in a hush voice: "We are almost surrounded!"

Both brothers were stunned, as they looked around at their surroundings. and saw that most of the twilight children were still doing their private stuff. 

"A pack of vicious wolves! I had earlier noticed their tracks."Tobi said, sounding urgent.

"I got it." Elijah retrieve a water canteen by his waist as he drank a few mouthful of water, then gave out a few simple hand signals.

The twilight children from their team who had been chosen as escorts were momentarily startled, but they still remembered their predesignated danger signals. 

Instantly, they all started moving, and whispering into their ears of their fellow members. The entire process was done quite swiftly and silent. Although some of the other twilight children also noticed.

As they felt something was odd and followed their retreat, most of them were still oblivious to their peril situation.

"Let's go!" Seeing that most of the members of their alliance had successfully made their retreat, the trio quickly followed suit.

"Tobi, you're unexpectedly good at scouting." Elijah said to Tobi as they retreated. After all, they had spent quite some time and were familiar with each other, and he knew that Tobi wouldn't lie to him about something like that.

Although the members of their Alliance were quiet and were retreating in an orderly manner to refrain from causing unnecessary alarms and panic, some of the other twilight children who were very discerning to danger took note of their odd behavior.

After all they were cut out from being a normal child, they quickly joined in the fray.

A loud gun sounded resonated mid air, " All children are to retreat back to the horse carriages!"

One of the black steel Knight ordered, as his voice resonated beside their ears, also numbing it.

The children who were resting on a patch of golden sand were all stunned into silence, before they all swarmed like bees, fleeing crazily for the horse carriages.

"No need for hiding anymore! Let's run!" Elijah said as he prepared his casting healing light inborn ability"Eli Lakhat". Behind him Matthew held a double short sword, his pupils appeared light gold in colour.

By now, all the members of their Alliance had been alerted, and were already quite a distance, and the fastest amongst them had already reached the horse carriages.

Their surroundings were filled with the wolf howls, since their prey had discovered their sneak attack, they had forgone their sneak attack for a head on vicious ȧssault.

The earth tremor filled were with the rustling of black shadowy wolves, charging out after the fleeing twilight children. They were about 2-3 metres humongous, and their incredible speeds made the golden sand appear like sand storm, behind them.

"Vicious wolf pack!" One of the Twilight children at the back, shouted at the top of his lungs his face was horrored.

Just moments later, he felt large patches of sandy storm rising behind his back. Quickly closing the gap between his figure and the sandy storm, within the storm he could feel a hot turbid steam on his neck before being pounced upon.

The strong impact caused his eyes to be lined with golden sand, he couldn't see as he strip to the ground. In the next instant, a huge maw filled with rows of sharp teeth bit down in one swoop, tearing out his throat as he died without knowing how, except the disfigured expression which was filled with desperation and despair.

Some of the fleeing twilight children were startled by the sudden cry, and turned their heads to look before they gasp out. As they witnessed this grisly sight and quicken their pace, without turning back.

Another young twilight child whose face was brimming with tears was running, as he screamed frantically: "Mummy! Mummy! I want my mummy…!"

"How pitiful?" By now, Tobi shivering body had already reached the horse carriages, and could see the entire scene in front of him. His instincts kept screaming at him, his meal was being taken away by a ba*tard, but he held himself back with his last bit of reasoning.

Right at this point, seven dark shadows dashed out from the horse carriages, each wielding a sword, as they slashed through the air at the charging vicious wolves pack.

"The black steel knight!" Tobi thought to himself.

Tobi had a worried look on his face as he looked at the several hundred sandy storms encircling them. "Previously, even with just nearly a hundred vicious wolves, they managed to get to the horse carriages, and even damage some of the carriages. With these several hundred vicious wolves… Perhaps today we will finally see those mysterious knights show their abilities."

One of the black steel Knight slashed his blade foward, weaving a faint light in the air as it dismantled a vicious wolf right into two!

"Not bad" The Knight licked the blood from his lips, looking extremely ferocious: "Come on, my little precious!"

"Thank…Thank you, Sir!" The little boy who was saved kept thanking him repeatedly, tears and mucus still on his cheeks. This was the boy who had been calling out for his mother earlier.

"Are you an idiot? Get inside now!" The Knight's paid little attention, since he did'nt even turn his head as he ran towards the vicious wolves.

Only then did the little boy seem to be brought back towards reality of the situation, and ran back to the horse carriage.

"Hurry! Arrange the horse carriages in circle to use as a defensive formation, some alliance members should stay behind while the rest, take up your weapons and set up a defensive perimeter!"

A black steel Knight who remained at the campsite shouted outward.

"Alright!" As the vice captain Tobi was the first to give out a reply, jumping up onto one of the carriages to direct the alliance members.

"It's time to fight for our lives.." Tobi muttered to himself, and the pair of brother's beside him.
