Dawn Of Twilight

Chapter 101 - Battle

Looking at the scene before him, he noticed that the members of his Alliance had the least casualties due to his timely alarm, besides a few who had tripped while running and sustained minor injuries, there were no deaths or major injuries.

In contrast, many of the other Twilight children had been killed or injured, for example, he had discovered that Noah little team was now missing two members, while the remaining few had all sustained some form of injuries. It seemed like they had been just lucky enough to escape with their lives, on their necks.

"Alright! We've rescued all the ones who can be rescued, healing members do your thing."

The captain of their alliance, the Black steel knight was covered with blood stains as he returned to the defensive formation, and he immediately saw the trio, who were attending to the injured with Elijah using his light healing ability, while Matthew had a cross short sword on both hands and Tobi was in a battle stance.

"Kids, aren't you afraid?" The black steel Knight a bit surprised.

"At this time, being afraid won't be of any help right?" Tobi replied. His hands tightened as he clenched his silver claw gauntlet imbuing Earth elemental Mana on it, as the silver coloured became bronze and hardening.

Excluding the black steel Knights, even though he was five years old, he was the strongest in terms of battle experience and fighting skill, then Matthew after all the pair of brother's had been a former noble, with their father impacting on them one or two fighting skills.

"Be careful, these vicious wolves are cunning and intelligent than I thought, as long as we show them that we're not the prey but the predators. They will be easily subdued" The black steel Knight said passively.

The few twilight children that had fallen earlier had died by now, and with the scent of blood filling the air, Tobi almost went berserk and charged savagely, but still he held himself back it wasn't yet his time.

"Here they come! Everyone be careful! We will try our best to protect you, but there are only so many of us and we will definitely miss some of you. At that point, you will have to fight for your selves" The black steel Knight ordered, as his figure formed a flight shadow, standing in the front lines together with the other Knights.

The black steel Knights fought as they launched their swift attacks, and Tobi could see a faint light shining around Matthew body, he guessed that should be his inborn ability.

Meanwhile, the black steel Knight sword struck on a parallel side, towards the charging vicious wolf in front of him. As it head was chopped off, causing it body to fall side ways as blood sprayed onto the golden sand.

For a few moments, the dozen or so black figures were like a magical fortress, blocking the siege of the vicious wolves.

"We should fight as well, even if it bȧrėly count as helping the Knights or reducing their work load." Tobi said to Mathew, as they walked forward.

"Yes, if this continues for long, the Knights might grow a bit exhausted to fight, and all of us will be on dead end!" Matthew nodded in agreement.

But inwardly Tobi knew the black steel knights weren't going all out or were going to be at their limits, because there was still that black steel Knight that gives him goosebumps.

Under Tobi's leadership, all the twilight children took up various weapons and followed behind the Knights, attacking the weakened vicious wolves from the sidelines.

The vicious wolf snarled at him, displaying it rows of sharp fangs, Tobi could smell the foul bloody stench from within it maw.

Within his mental world, after constrict it area of analysis. He scan the battlefield, determining an easy way to finish his fight. At the battle he was contemplating weather vampires, could drink the blood of animals, but his rummaging thought were unable to come to a decision apart from it being disgusting, he had no knowledge of it weather it was feasible or not.

Within his mental world, a panoramic, 3D slow motion image of a little black wolf phantom appeared in his mind.

The vicious wolf before him, eventually sneak an attack, with an aggressive momentum it blood claw slashed towards Tobi, bringing along a sandy air and dust.

By infusing himself with elemental Mana, Tobi imbued his entire body with a gust of air elemental energy. Becoming fast enough to perform a lesser version of Bust, as he simultaneously executed two different elemental energy in battle.

Concentrating Earth elemental energy on his claw gauntlet, it silver coloured became bronze as it formed a claw streak to the right. Striking the claw away.

At that moment Tobi felt a shock forced travel up his arm from the head on clash, making him feel as if he had struck a thick forest tree.

'This vicious wolf strength is much higher than mine, except I use Mana blood ŀust, if I keep fighting head on, I will be exhausted rather quickly. I'll need to finish this fight quickly.'

'It seems that this new way of using Mana might put too much strain on me, if I continuously use it on a head on clash. Maybe I am just too young, or my Mana is too limited, either way this is a great start."

Following the path calculated through his mental world, he reeled himself forward, becoming fast enough that it appeared as if he had blinked, right in front of the vicious wolf.

Since he wanted to finish the fight quickly, with a thought the peripheral of the vicious wolf began sinking downward, as Tobi used Earth elemental Mana to manipulate the sand around it area. The vicious wolf tried exerting power within it claws.

Tobi moved forward making used of his opportunity, by coming that close. A moment was all Tobi needed, as he released all the mental energy he could muster at that moment.

Unfortunately, he a felt forced transverse through his ċhėst sending his small figure staggering backward, as the vicious wolf kept whimpering before it bright blue eyes dim a bit.

All this happened in seconds, but his opponent was already lying down, almost completely covered with golden sand.

"Damn ba*tard."cursed outwardly as he spat out a mouthful of blood, a feeling of nausea and tremendous pain linger on his ċhėst. Tobi looked at his clothes, which was now a bit ragged a bloody Mark had made it way on his ċhėst.

Tobi stare hatefully, at the distance the vicious wolf seemed to have some how had disappeared.. But he didn't pursue it.
