Chapter 15 - Invite from Vampire Ancestor Lucian

"Young Master, you don't understand how dire your need of the Academy is, and I say this only in your best interest. I cannot stress out how important it is to learn how to properly interact with your peers and establishing your might as a leader and as Pride Dracula!

"Not to mention that you have no friend of your age! Even as a Dracula, that's why it is more of a reason you will need to socialize, even fall in love at some point in life. Otherwise, you'll grow into a cranky, cold, and cynical man.

"I know how you feel, have been there, done that too, and also regretted it.

"Also don't worry about others. As soon as you enroll, with your newfound status, even until your graduation, the Council of the Ancient Vampire, The royal court of the Holy humans, the Lycanthrope packs, and the Witches community will take personal care of all your needs. At that point, not even the most reckless Celestials would try something funny before your growth."

Tobi had run out of excuses, and could not tell him the truth.

He was also sick and tired of being called young master constantly, even more, all this extravagant style of a noble, resorting to excessive training or reading too many books without overthinking how absurd his life was after a while had lost much of its ŀuster.

Tobi just wanted to be left in peace and treated with respect, like any normal human being, as well as creating a better future as he searches for his family.

He didn't know how long he could bear the stress and looks from his so-called "peers" at the Academy, before throwing tantrums about the high and mighty attitude they would give him after knowing he was Pride Dracula.

The idea of not being able to do as he wished was enough to give him a big headache. In an academy he would even be more of a cripple, losing all of his advantages because he was viewed as some high and mighty beast of some sort.

Tobi's mood was made even worse by the thought of attending his coronation on gothic vintage Victorian velvet (AN: Just in case you are interested in how it looks, search: Devil Fashion Gothic Vintage Victorian Velvet.)

A few days later, Tobi received a noble invitation from Vampire Ancestor Lucian, for his coronation ceremony As King Dracula.

The whole thing happened in an odd fashion way. Tobi received a message through a strange talking black crow with sanguine eyes, not more than a few inches instead of a holo-call, and despite being addressed to him it was Horus who was rather excited about it.

Being both were present, Horus and Tobi took the liberty of quietly listening to the talking crow before sending it away.

The black crow spoke in a humanlike way,

rather than that of a bird caw.

: Congratulations

Congratulations from his Majesty Vampire Lucian of Transylvania to my Lord Pride Dracula.

My Lord Pride Dracula

Vampire Ancestor Lucian.

"What does this mean?" Tobi asked Horus.

"It sounds so much like Lucian. The way he puts things sometimes is quite buoyant and he seems quite hopeful, toward the day of your coronation."

"Hmmm." Horus nodded, eager to avoid the outrageous accusation of being nosey.

"I can smell goods and bad news. The good news goes for both me and the four Sovereigns, though for exactly different reasons for the power of circles it can either be a gift or curse with more fight and struggles towards establishing connections with a new Pride Dracula.

"The good news is that it isn't anything serious or to worry about, except Lucian used a familiar which is his black shapeshifter Blood crow this means he is expressing his sincere anticipation of your coming."

"The bad news which goes for you young Master is that all the above stinks of formality and etiquette which I bet you are certainly not find of. I fear that you are in for a whole day of boredom while attending all the official business regarding your coronation and becoming the new Pride Dracula."

Even the following holo-call was quite awkward. Vampire Lucian was uncharacteristically calm and composed than his usual self, managing to not make numerous questions about his preparations for the upcoming coronation, nor throw tantrums about how the time he would waste, not even once.

After hearing that Tobi received his message, he was all smiles as he stated that a personal tailor would stop by later to take Tobi's measurements and that he would send his shapeshifter familiar on the set date, one hour after dawn it arrived quite early.

The strange familiar arrived less than an hour earlier but this time in a different form, taking features of a middle-aged man with marooned-colored eyes in black robes, it didn't give Tobi any mean look or nasty remark. On the contrary, it's was quite anxious and nervous after recognizing him at the first glance, complimenting and bowing towards its every minute.

Despite being only ten years and a half, Tobi was almost 1.65 meters tall, since back in his village any man above 1.75 meters (5'9") was considered tall.

"Goodbye, Your Lordship."

After the familiar left, Horus chuckled in surprise.

"Good gods, my guess was indeed correct, sending his blood familiar for a second, surely shows his goodwill. With Lucian cynical personally he wouldn't allow anyone to use his familiar as a tailor. This occasion must mean something really big to him, like a national ball of some sort.

"This is one of those rare moments when I'm happy and quite excited being part of high social events again. Prepare yourself young master since you are quite new to all this, it might appear to be a bit awkward filled with Ancient noblesse insufferable small talk, and being showed around like some kind of WSA Gold prize winner, in billboard."

Tobi spent the next ten days in his usual routine, obsessing about Horus's words was pointless, since he had already taken those things into consideration when he accepted his reality as Pride Dracula.

Except dancing, of course. Tobi had always hated dancing, even back on Earth, mostly because of he didn't know how to. But even that wouldn't worry him much, there was no way for him to learn ancient dances in much so little time, even if Horus was persistent about it.

Even if he managed to find a book about it and added it to his memory, knowing was not doing it, he would still need to practice.. He could only ignore it and endure.
