Dawn Of Twilight

Chapter 16 - The Sovereigns

In a mountain area surrounded by forests of tall withered trees of various kinds, mild winds blew about giving the atmosphere a serene charm with a bit of eerie silence. At the top of the mountain, a dark marble city glowing in the dark of the night could be seen.

From the view when looked at, was extremely enchanting and the eight moons hung up ahead, were of an unusual pale blue color, giving the night a Disney vibe.

As they hover just above the dark marble city.

A particularly brightly lit tall dark red tower could be seen far ahead in the heart of the city, extending straight into the skies.

......

After he was done putting on his dark Gothic vintage Victorian Velvet, and a black boot which was specifically tailored for the occasion, with an elegant design. Tobi could be said to be a bit pale skin making him appeared glossy and preternaturally beautiful in his dress, much more like a typical noble Vampire.

Tobi reached the teleportation circle in the library leading outside their pocket world, with Horus as his chaperon.

Tobi turned around, needing but a glance to notice something was out of place. Horus had the smug grin you would expect from someone accompanying a billionaire to his billion gang club hosted in a mega yacht.

The Teleportation circle leads them directly inside the royal palace of the Ancient Vampires, just a few rooms away from the Banquet Hall. The Vampires Knights who could be described as part of a council pillar stood in charge of security which rarely was seen in public, and wouldn't care for person status when entering the royal palace of the Ancient Vampires.

But the odd thing was that instead of the cold and detached attitude usually given to any race, they seemed to be able to recognize him at first glance, as their attitude became polite and eager to be servile toward him.

"Amazing. Despite this place is just a waiting room it's so full of gold and artworks to be gaudy, at least by the standard."He thought out loud.

"That's just because, it was particularly made for your Coronation, Young master." Horus reproached him.

"The room is furnished with a rather unique style, compared to the Ancient Vampires style. It resembles the royal palace of Versailles from the Holy humans. The Council must not only be powerful but also flexible enough to amend and adapt to various styles and etiquette.

The path towards the Banquet Hall was filled with marvels. Horus could sense at least a hundred different arrays and countless magical artifacts and defensive formations hidden inside the walls which seemed to be made of Mana crystals.

The double doors leading inside were already spread wide open awaiting their esteemed guests. Before they could enter, a valet came to greet them, in the Ancient Vampire council even servants were formed by nobles from actual important families, since serving the council was the highest honor.

The valet was actually the Head of the second family Drerian Roku of the Ancient Vampires in the council, his authority was just second to Vampire Ancestor Lucian, with remarkable talents for both Bloodline Abilities and magic.

The valet Drerian Roku had a wide smile on his middle-aged face, managing to keep his cool as he greeted Horus and bows to Tobi before announcing their arrival, speaking with a loud magically enhanced voice.

The room was more than a hundred meters (328 feet) long and over fifty meters (164 feet) wide, with a single dark red silk carpet with gold-threaded embroidered edges, going from the ten meters (32 feet) wide double doors, up to the five steps raised upward platform that distanced the floor from where the ordinary nobles stood and for the ones for the Sovereigns.

That way, even while sitting, they would be able to look down on everyone present, reaffirming their status and authority, at the Sovereigns platform stood five golden Dragon antique chairs which the one at the middle stood out the most, from the rest beside it.

On the walls, were animated magically enchanted tapestries that would recount phantoms tales of the great feats the previous Pride Dracula had accomplished to be deemed worthy of being called the strongest deadly sins. Both the floor and the pillars of the room were realized from the fortune dragon gold refined veined marbles, the most precious and robust material available in the whole of Transylvania.

The room was filled with important nobles of all races and relevance, who quickly bows at the arrival of Tobi as though afraid he wouldn't pay attention towards them.

Vampire Ancestor Lucian quickly swarmed the two figures, like vultures after spotting a fresh corpse while also leaving dark phantoms as he walked toward.

"Greetings, My Lord,"

"Long time your Lord, How was the journey, I hope you had a splendid time with Horus."

Vampire Lucian didn't seem to have aged a day since he was a vampire Ancestor with a high-level Mana core. His black robe was brand new fitting his shriveled figure, as he walked forward he didn't seem to care much about the figures that greeted, as he greeted Tobi with a smile on his face, Lucian expression looks frightening and with the smile, it was completely contradicting toward his ghastly expression.

While they spoke three extra figures had already walked forward as they greeted him, the first he noticed was a medium build man with a white robe and a golden crown on his head, the second was a man who seems a bit scary from the scar on the left side of his face, with a bulky hairy figure, grey out spiky hair which stood on ends with full out beards.

The third was a woman who seemed to possess a bit of mystery and charm with the thin muslin black veil, covering her face except her emerald green eyes which brimmed with so much intelligence and curiosity.

Before coming, Horus had taken the liberty to do a bit of research and jotted down the names of the most worthy nobles, titles, and every relevant race, despite not participating in worldly activity anymore. Slowly he began to introduce them to him, from their status, rank, and titles.

After a while, Tobi took a couple of glances in surprise recognizing them from the Horus-pedia, the first was the man with a golden crown on his head who seemed unfathomable, was called Edward Kalamas, the ruler of the Holy human's World.

The second man was called, Damon Achilles the first Emperor of the Lycanthrope packs. The third which was obviously the woman was called the Diane Wonderwitch Queen of the Witches. Every one of them, from Horus descriptions, was said to be very remarkable with peerless talents in the various fields of magic, Art of War, forging, politics, and Bloodline Abilities.

Under them were, twelve families each ruled over a kingdom the size of a continent, amassing so much wealth and authority over numerous lives.
