Chapter 25 - Part 2

"What were the previous Pride Dracula specializations?" Tobi asked curiously.

"A Bloodline Warlock" Horus said with a smile." He was taught the secret behind the flow of bloodline energy, and back on the battle Field his method of disrupting the sudden use of his opponent bloodline energy had caused countless havoc."

"Though he did a sub-specializations, but when it comes to making an opponent a handicap especially for those who depend on their bloodlines, his techniques were unmatched."

Tobi's interest could be said to have been really piqued, so he let Horus continued putting his streams of questions for later on.

"Again each student is being given monthly points, all this is base on how the students perform.."

"Are the points divided by a hierarchy or individually?" Tobi somehow felt a bit dumb, he hadn't finished his previous thoughts, yet but here he was asking another question out of the blue.

'I swear, if it being giving according to one's status, I would take back all my thoughts about the academies.' Tobi thought to himself.

Horus smiled, knowing full well he had gotten the attention of his young master.

"If I remember correctly about the academies and their students, the points are like a huge chunk of meat put in front of ferocious beasts, or rather it like a huge fief plot that's under the supervision of no one.

"What do you think the ferocious beast or nobles to do? do you expect them to corporate for it?

"No! They would rather fight each other out and claim the chunk of meat or plot for themselves. And of course, the points are individual.

"It very similar to the merits points the various kingdoms use in their military system, but instead of gaining merits points from the kingdoms, you gain it from the school itself.

"The credit points are the only currency allowed in the academic, and with them, you could afford lots of things. Things like magical potions, enchanted items, and rare and important ingredients for experiments. Obviously, the higher the value, the higher the credit points deducted."

"What are these magical potions? It's the first time you mentioned them."

"Magical potions are just like arcane spells drawn on a piece of paper, but vial. But the most basic of potions are healing potions, poison potions, lightweight potions, fertilization portions, and strength potions but between the infirmary that Ancient Vampires, Lycanthropes have the extraordinary physique for healing, and the Holy humans and witches. And also the fact that these two races are adept at light magic, they are rarely purchased.

"The more precious options, are those that grant it user extraordinary prowess when taken because they allow their user to gain temporarily feats, such recovery of one's stamina and strength at least within the range of 40-50%, then comes the lower ones like becoming faster, stronger, stealth or even argument their skin into being harden.

"All these potions can be used as a lifesaver though wouldn't be much effective for a hybrid awakened, nevertheless it becomes handy especially when a person is forced into an involuntarily melee fight."

"What about bloodline potions?"

"Bloodline what?"

"Is there anything like a bloodline drug, to enhance all stats of an individual for a certain period of time?"

Horus looked at him and smiled.

"Young master, since knowledge are shared voluntarily according to its usefulness to the society. Though, many many master's and Grand Masters of the alchemist, have discovered something about such.

"Even though knowledge is shared to the general public, not everything is officially made public to the masses. Especially if something dangerous like a Bloodline drug was used, a person losses half of his/her sanity, coupled together with the fact that a Bloodline drug takes a quarter of the person's bloodline away and leaves the person like meat on a chopping board after every use.

"It just like those potions to enhance feats, though they might seem like the imitation but the real imitation are the Bloodline drugs. Though it could be purchased, but if anyone was found doing anything illegal with it, the kingdom puts a bounty Hunter for the person."

"Especially if every commoner, wanted to seek revenge on nobles the best thing they would think of, was a Bloodline drug because it could only be used as a last resort at the end of one's rope."

Tobi was overwhelmed as listened, both potions and bloodline drug seemed like poor imitations of his Mana bloodlust Technique.

'Not only are they consumable items, but you even have to waste your time to haul them around while replenishing them like baby bottles, the worse one comes down to bloodline drugs and their adverse side effects. Apart from making the user a sitting duck, even a child might be able to kill a bloodline holder at his/her weakest moment.

'Plus, bloodline holders don't have techniques like Mana Technique or Mana bloodlust. The only good thing about the potions is that I could pretend to use them or trick my enemy, while I use Mana bloodlust instead, aside from that they are useless to me.' He thought.

(AN: Just in case you are a bit confused about the techniques, Mana Technique is the breathing technique that allows Tobi to quickly regain his Mana and stamina, to the point he can go on from months to half a year without sleeping.

The longer he uses it the shorter the effects last, the only way to resets its effects is by sleeping for a period of time. Check chapter ten and below for more info.

: While Mana bloodlust, is like going into the Avatar state where he could use various elemental Mana at the same, this Technique allows Tobi to directly merge the various elemental Mana directly into his body rather than going through the process of Mana Technique, rather it just goes through the reverse process of endlessly flowing in and out, just like inhaling and exhaling, but this Technique also has a countdown for how long it could be maintained before it automatically resets itself.
