Chapter 28 - Vampire Ancestor Lucian

Tobi had yet to solve his problems with the Bloodline alternate ego called Monarch, and asking Horus who knew less than nothing was even more out of the question. It would be too burdensome causing unnecessary worries, and if he exposed the fact that of one the Ancient bloodline Egos had awakened who knows what the Monarch might suddenly do to him after all it's was the only one with a deep comprehension of the Ancient bloodline, despite being in slumber for so long.

...

After a few days later, Vampire Ancestor Lucian held a private party once again, this time in a proper and obscure way. He gave him time to prepare and explained to Tobi the reason for their meeting since Horus postponed the time needed to begin his journey to the academy.

They met in a small pocket world. In his gesture of etiquette, the noble Ancient Vampire stood up after he arrived in the room, giving Tobi a courtesy even before he had said a word or greeted him in return.

"Welcome, My Lord. Thanks once again for receiving and attending my noble invitation.

"Also, I have several reasons to apologize to you. First, for how I had abruptly left you during your coronation. I was rude and condescending, but I was also left without many choices, the summon from the esteemed guests here and there left me completely exhausted, I hope my Lord can understand me."

Tobi smiled.

"No need to apologize, your Majesty Lucian. In life, sometimes burdens us with the weight that, might leave us completely confused on what to do within a tight corner." That was the random word he actually said. He was already tired of having to leave his comfort zone, and if it wasn't for Horus's constant pestering, or his future plans and the invitation stating the meeting was of utmost importance he would have loved to decline the Ancestor Ancient vampire.

Being friends was of secondary importance, their relationship was strictly noble business-like. It was important to lay solid foundations for it, especially if he might need the person's help later on.

If he failed to be useful or tried to harm him, it was a piece of common news that revenge was best serve cold.

The Ancestor Ancient vampire shook his head, with a wry smile.

"My Lord, I am not deserved of your forgiveness, but since my Lord insist your humble Vampire shall cut the chase and explain his reason for conforming my Lord presence.

"So, my reason for conforming to my Lord presence is to skip the long formalities the enrollment might entail. In order to guarantee your successful entry into Divine Moon academy.

"Since my Lord title was newly brought into the light, not many might knows of your existence or how you look like, so..."

With ancestor Ancient vampire Lucian features he was a man about 1,77(5,9"). With the black ample robe he was wearing, it's made his build to anyone who didn't know how he really looked appear like a mystery, he might have been a burly man with muscles or as thin as a broomstick.

His robe seemed to be completely embroidered with complex, small holes. Opening his white shriveled palm, he took out a black ring bearing a crest that seemed to be made like a skull.

"It's a long and boring story, cut short..." He said looking furtively at Tobi.

"...But what matters is that, even though not many know of your existence. With this enchanted ring, it holds a power on par with me or any of the other Sovereigns, so any of the academies of your choice can only accept your orders when they see this."

Even with all these ȧssurances Tobi, still held a little doubt within his heart he wasn't yet completely convinced that going away, even for just a few years, was the best course of action for except seeing his friends of course.

"Wouldn't it be possible to be home-schooled? Since I hold such authority, it should not be a problem giving me the same benefits I would get from an academy and private tutors. After all, the location isn't that important."

"It actually is. The surrounding and innate equipment within the academies plays a big role in both the points and grading system. Also, yes, if you insist, I could achieve what you asked, but bear in mind such an achievement would be more possible if you join my council as a core member, my Lord.

"Once you join my council as a core defacto member, everything would be given to you at no extra cost at all and though I'm not sure to have all the resources you'll need, it can nevertheless be shipped to the council. On the other hand, if you enroll in an academy now, it would be like according to a Sovereign decree.

"And once inside, even if you choose to not use your almighty status, you would still be protected by the rules of the circle of powers and of the academy. No one would be fool enough to make an enemy out of you, even still knowing about my Lord's powerful backings. Ancient Vampires, Holy humans (saints), Lycanthrope, and witches are ready to be deeply intertwined when it comes to the ruler of Ancient Sins."

"It sadly makes sense." Tobi inwardly sighed. 'It's best to exploit the situation to its fullest now. Between the extraordinary benefits of attending the academy, no matter his reasons, and my King status, I should be able to get some extra safety measures.

'And, If only half of what Horus told me is true, I'll need every advantage I can get to avoid useless dramatic and pointless face-slapping, or shoving off my mighty a*s status in people's faces

"I understand. I also guess that being home-schooled is out of my question."

"I wouldn't be so sure." The Vampire Ancestor replied. "Anyways, my Lord with your status I know you'd prefer the best academy, I had guessed you want to go to Divine Moon academy. You do know it's the school with the biggest and deepest inheritage compared to the rest right?"

"But of course." Tobi nodded his lie by the head. "But I'm also quite interested in the art of bloodline. Which academy would be the best choice for such specialization?"

"Any of them would suffice." The Vampire Ancestor Lucian shrugged. "They all have good Warlocks, but the greatest of them all still falls back to Divine Moon academy, though warlock like to avoid getting their freedom restraint especially in the academies like the plague.. Warlock likes to be free, while in an institution they have to take care of the paperwork, and teaching the student's about bloodline items."
