Dawn Of Twilight

Chapter 33 - part 3

"This kid isn't so bad at all."

Bear1 immediately began to get serious, and he wrapped himself up in the so-called QI. An opponent who had already activated qi was not so easily defeated.

"Battle technique: Bear Hug!" He accelerated, charging towards Tobi.

Tobi laughed inwardly.

He guessed that if Horus was there, it's would have burn down the whole place at such a preposterous thought. Of referring to the natural Mana as the so-called 'QI.'

Despite being flabbergasted, Bear1 was able to keep his cool before charging forward again.

"Bear1 actually used his battle technique!" The audience all exclaimed loudly.

'To think that he would be this weak.' Tobi thought as he had been suppressing his powers, he could only dodge as he studied his opponent, however after his opponent had failed to hit him even after not making use of his enhanced physique prowess.

He decided it was finally his turn to attack, after performing a new technique he dubbed as 'Dash' Tobi slipped past through his opponent, creating enough space between them, with a wave of his wooden sword it pierced forward.

Tobi raised the wooden sword, with an immense force it's struck Bear 1 causing his huge body into flying backward making him land on the ground, as he screamed in pain.

However, Tobi's attack hadn't ended yet. He seemed to have turn into a gust of wind, sticking close to his opponent who was trying to stand up on his feet.

"Wait, don't hit me, please. Have mercy!"Bear1 begged.

For the first time, Tobi laughed outwardly.

"Really?" Tobi said moving his right hand again, and the last thing Bear1 noticed with horror was the back streak of light flashing before his eyes.

Terrifying sounds of bones shattering were heard, with every second. When Bear1 figure could finally be seen, his arms and legs were all twisted at strange angles and had even lost his consciousness.

"How is it? Did I pass the test?" Tobi said as he looked at the judge, who seemed to be in a daze.

"Pardon my manners. I announce that Listless_Flob has passed this test!" He finally said, as if he had awoken from a dream. His words caused quite the commotion in the surrounding crowd, with many stunned and surprised comments.

Tobi cared little about all this, as he went straight to the counter. This time the crowd automatically opened up a path, respecting the strong.

The monocle on the old man's face kept on jumping as he chuckled, "I guess don't often make mistakes when I see a good calf. Hey Kid, any interest in learning here for a period of time?"

"Thank you. But I still have somethings urgent to do." Tobi said politely, he had noticed that the old man cultivation in the normal human world was about level 8th rank 2 as a warrior. In the human continent, this was extremely good, which would be described as an expert, but compared to those black steel knights he was actually very weak.

"I see young people these days. Have eyes but can't see mountain Tai…' The old man sighed to himself, before lethargically throw a copper badge to Tobi, as well as a piece of parchment paper.

"Take it. This is your warrior badge and verification. That will be two silver coins."

Though Tobi didn't know how they usually charge new warriors, his instincts told him it was slightly too expensive and was done on purpose. However, since he was very efficient, Tobi paid the bill and quickly left.

After walking out of the Mercenary guild, Tobi went to the Mercenary Guild next hall. Seeing the gold on the counter, made the receptionist revealed a customer service smile.

"Welcome. May I know if you are here to issue a mission or to apply for remuneration?"

"I'm here to apply to be a mercenary," Tobi stated his purpose.

"Please go to counter number 4."

Applying to become a mercenary was actually very simple, and only required proof of one's Profession. After examining Tobi's rank 2 fighter badge to be authentic, the person in charge of counter 4 happily helped him with the proof of being a Mercenary.

As a newbie, Tobi had no choice but to become a copper-grade mercenary, which was the lowest rank. Only after completing multiple missions could he advance. However, after being verified as a Professional Mercenary. He would be given free access to enter other large mercenary guilds in the future.

'Since I have finally become a mercenary like Horus said, next is go to the nearest branch of Divine Moon academy in order to be teleported into the academy to study…'

The major reason he was even allowed to attend the academy was the information on a high-ranked technique that was highly confidential, and only by attending the academy could he gain the knowledge he was currently searching for.

Of course, he could also ignore that like how the Vampire Ancestor Lucian said and take his vampire council offer, raising his merits first. However, with Horus's explanation, he knew after entering he would become a toothless lion since he was bȧrėly given any freedom.

If the Pride Dracula was to be a core de facto member of any of the four circles of power that would be a disgrace to the Deadly Sins predecessor. Since they were naturally meant to be neutral, and could only let the general public gain knowledge of their existence, when necessary.
