Dawn Of Twilight

Chapter 40 - Lord Urara-a

"Please, she's a lady of a noble family after all and she didn't even bring a butler or maid when she came out. It's already good enough that she didn't starve it to death…"

Tobi said as he chuckled and patted the Satyr R-B on the shoulders, which gained him the satyr nodded approval.

"Mm, you are right," The Satyr kept on nodding.

"Though, it might seem as if am bragging, but to be honest my father of my father's great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great father's father was once a beast tamer for a famous guild. He was even able to raise the best warhorses and fat bulls of unparalleled strength with those ancient and heavenly bloodlines till they were plump and healthy…"

'Wait, That doesn't seem right…'Tobi stared at the satyr in a daze speechlessly as he shook his head. Though he didn't know how satyr's acted, he was sure this satyr in front of him was probably telling a lie, not to mention that he was even drunk and couldn't count even his steps.

At this moment, a gold coin was thrown over from the window, as it flew toward the satyr R-B while also hitting him on the head.

"Take care of little black and this is yours!"

With the Golden rays shining like a star in the Satyr's eyes, it seems as if all his previous complaints were immediately wiped away.

"No problem at all! I the great Satyr R-B will help you take care of this treasure, my lady!"

He bowed doing a somewhat noble gesture that was out of place.

'Immature'

Tobi sighed as his evaluation about the Valkyrie kept on falling. He had realized something the moment she threw that gold coin out, the various mercenaries mixed up together already seemed to had their eyes fixed on her mount, but after the eyecatching gold coin was thrown out as if it was nothing, many of those eyes were suddenly being filled with strange glints.

Even the halfling thief and the human archer had a change of expressions now, which was obviously not something good.

They were all mercenaries who had gathered together for money. Why would they trust each other? In a life-threatening situation, they could easily become robbers and bandits.

'Even if the Valkyrie anomander is close to the first level of rank 3, she won't be able to evade all the plots against her.' Tobi practically predicts what might probably happen to all the noblewomen in the carriage.

'The ogre's tribes could be the best cover. As long as someone's careful enough to hide their tracks, they can easily push the blame toward the ogres. After all, with all these shrimp soldiers, would they actually be able to contend against a large tribe of ogres?'

Tobi took a mental note of his surroundings. Soon he noticed that the merchant groups were slowly being gathered around, as he looked over he could spot the people in charge of a few medium-sized caravans who were also standing, it was as if they were waiting for a person or some important figure.

'Could they have called everyone over, because of a new recruited high-ranked Profession?'

Behind him, a pale flag that depicted a dragon fluttered in the air.

"Isn't that Lord Urara-a of Dawn Light?"

"Are you blind? Of course, it's him." Someone else immediately commented, with a smile.

"Ahh, with him around, doesn't it mean this satyr doesn't get to show his might?" The Satyr R-B muttered with a frown, that was in contrast to his excited voice.

'Not strong enough.' This what was Tobi thought when he the group and his first impression of the man.

Urara was at or above level 3 rank 3 and there were even traces of mana emitting from magically enchanted items, that Tobi could sense on him. That wasn't all, at least, the members behind him were also considered strong what would be described as the cream of the crop in the human continents, among the group's Tobi easily spotted a sorcerer who was a bloodline holder.

Though she was clad in a black enchanted robe, that could probably act as both defensive and stealth magical item in hiding her rank, the inferior grade enchanted item could bȧrėly do anything when Tobi looked at them.

However, after staring at her, Tobi realizes that she didn't have a high-rank technique nor a high-grade spell, except those considered as high level in the human continents.

Seeing the mercenary group of Dawn Light meeting with the medium-scaled merchant groups, as well as the subsequent signal they set off, Tobi played dumb by asking the satyr R-B who was by his side, a question.

"Is that Sir Urara very powerful?"

"Of course. Don't you know the Lord Urara is the only mithril mercenary in the whole of Umair Ahmed city?

"On top of that, he's a high-ranked Knight who's gone through and fought numerous battles for the continent. Our city hall had even once invited him to take charge of the garrison, but he was blatantly rejected by him…"

The moment Tobi ask such a question, the satyr immediately looked around his surrounding, afraid someone might eavesdrop on what he was about saying, before talking and even then the satyr kept on talking non-stop as he would continuously mention Lord Urara with a look of awe as if himself was also a member of Dawn Light or had seen him fight.

Tobi watched all of this in bewilderment, as it seemed like the Dawn Light had really created a huge reputation among other mercenaries, that which immediately was able to make such an uproar amongst the large merchant groups, the moment they appeared. Be it the various mercenaries groups or merchants, all of them had delighted looks on their expressions, akin to having just found a safe haven through which their safety would be guaranteed.
