Chapter 53 - Gil'Takka and Demon Beast

With an ogre awakening, they could also awaken their perception which gives them access to gain recognition of their Oracle.

The chief leader was known as Gil'takka this was the name he had awakened as a shaman, this was also a symbol of nobility among ogres only those who can awaken their names at birth, were ones crowned as a chief leader even among chiefs.

As Gil'takka communicates with their Oracle the sacred ogres' totem, he could now clearly perceive their enemies with much great clarity and sensitivity. Their Oracle slowly revealed the danger, they were more than fifty humans, but only one magical creature...

*Demon beast!* Gil'takka screamed at the ends of his lungs, his expression was filled with an indescribable rare fear, his panicked voice made the other chiefs seemingly shiver in shock.

*Demon beast?* A two-headed-ogre chief shuddered In fear, there was this palpable horror in his growl-like voice.

What was Demon beast? This was a knowledge known by the ogres passed on by their forefathers to flee on sight if they over sighted one even if from a mile, according to what their ancestors gave a description of. These Demon beasts were nondescript creatures that had surpassed a magical beast, in terms of prowess, cruelness, aggressiveness, intelligence, and might.

It was totally not something their ogres' tribe could fight or survive at the appearance of just one. They were certain of this not just because of their ancestors alone, but due to Gil'takka who slowly realized and noticed he was bleeding from his orifice.

*Ahh we are doomed! Among those damn humans, how could there be a demon beast? I don't know if it had noticed our existence or not before, but after spying on it there is a possibility it had taken note of us all!*

Gil'takka was hyperventilating with his eyes bloodshot while his other orifice had blood dripping from them, and this was bȧrėly the effort of trying to spy on it, what would then happen if they were to face off the demon beast?

Meanwhile, the two-headed-ogres stood there daze with his menacing expressions, being chief wasn't just because he was a noble variant of the ogres, the main reason was he was proud and strong there was bȧrėly anything that could make him fear.

And for the first five seconds, he was unfazed, by news of a demon beast.

It was also what his grandfather had told his father, before his father told him, before being turned into a feast and a family heirloom. The two-headed ogres chief, father was really fond of his father's heirloom when he was alive, and now with him being a chief he also grew fond of his father's heirloom. The heirloom was practically pants made from ogres, it was a custom the ogres' generation followed.

It was also a way the two-headed ogres chief, let his father's corpse reunite with their ancestors' spirit through his belle.

*No, enough is enough we must stand our ground and kill it. The humans are bȧrėly of any threat to us, while the demon beast is just one!*

Gil'takka wipes off the blood from his nose and mouth, with his tongue while a smile slowly crept upon his face revealing his row of jagged teeth.

*Do you mean?* The two-headed ogres chief retorted with shock-filled expression.

*Yes, rather than running we should instead gather all our forces and attack the demon beast. With our overwhelming numbers, and the Oracle behind us we can definitely concur!*

*Also the legend from our ancestors had once said if we could kill one. There would be an evolution that would make us be unstoppable, we would evolve by feasting on its flesh and drinking its blood, which is said to be sweeter than the most delicious nectar*

Gil'takka licked his big lips, his face exaggerated his cruel smile and wild thoughts.

*Are you saying a demon beast is a supreme delicacy? It's the first time I am hearing such a thing*

The two-headed ogres chief, looked at Gil'takka with a puzzled expression while he scratched his head seemingly confused. According to the lore he knew, a demon beast's blood was hotter than molten lava and even their flesh was said to be the most poisonous thing in existence.

*Yes, this is another truth relating to a demon beast* Gil'takka stared at the two-headed ogres chief, with Mana fuelling the glints in his eyes, and he made an enhanced growl in anger.

*This was what our ancestors had hidden from us, afraid we might destroy ourselves if we ever knew such hidden truth* Gil'takka said looking at the Oracle, at the ends of the bone palace.

This was more like the curse of hundred ogres tribes' graveyards than the inheritance of their ancestral knowledge.

Though the Rakasha was said to be a tribe, it had more than one chief with the exception of only having one high chief leader who was the only ogres' shaman that could communicate with their Oracle.

Even though the Rakasha tribe was big, Gil'takka had to think carefully after having a meeting with the rest of the ogres chiefs and as well plan out their strategy, after suffering a few losses with the human groups.

Albeit, he doesn't know how strong a demon beast was, but according to their ancestors and what the oracle said, it was likely to be times ten the prowess of a magical beast.

Which was why he had to think carefully, to formulate the best possible plan to weaken the demon beast and then kill it. Of the Rakasha tribe, there were four chiefs and one high chief.

They were the pillars of the tribe, of the five chiefs except Gil'takka the rest were variants of ogres.
