Dawn Of Twilight

Chapter 71 - Baby's day

7 days later

Living a life as a baby means he had no responsibility whatsoever or worries.

So it left him with all the time he needed to think about his future after the darkness in his eyes toned down finally.

On Earth, it was no mystery that kids had greater potential for learning than ȧduŀts, and he had no system to rely on, and he appeared to be human-like, he could hope for that to be true in this new world too.

From his analysis, his body was no different from a normal inches baby not too big and robust, just as usual chubby, healthy and delicate.

He had no extraordinary eyesight at least, nor could he breathe fire or use magic. Everything appeared normal just like earth, except their clothing seem a bit ancient and historical.

That also could be said for their house.

If it wasn't for the existence of all this, he would have simply thought he was still on Earth. But things wouldn't be that simple.

Tobi quickly dismissed his thought about having reincarnation abilities and what race he was, those hypotheses appeared useless to him now.

He determines that he had two notable priorities; number one, learn his family's native dialect, and he had only so much time before being considered a retard, so he could not slack off.

Number two, he had to somehow figure out if this world depends on QI or Magic for its foundations. That also had a deadline, since his learning potential is at its peak only until his brain stopped growing.

After that, he would be no different from everyone else with ordinary talent and hands for manual disposition.

He didn't set out right his priority on learning his native dialect immediately, instead of the foundation of this new world though this might result in him being called a slow learner, at least it was much better than being weak for the rest of his life and maybe forcefully appearing in a reincarnation rollercoaster again.

Tobi spent his days in the new world in bed together with his parents, while his siblings slept in their room.

Whenever someone paid extra attention to him, he would look back trying to figure out the person's next words or common actions.

Every attempt made him wonder if this world was earth before modern technology came through, or if he had any relatives.

But that couldn't be all, or at least he hoped so. He had yet to even see a single person visit their home, he couldn't believe they were the only people in the world or village.

Fear of the unknown and of tomorrow started to build up, his previous life memories were a bit vague, but not anything special. Also, getting used to pooping and wetting himself wasn't anything pleasant.

Thankfully, his family showered him with nothing but love and affection, making his life not completely weird. Despite him being biased about people due to his previous life, his family manages to make him feel loved and protected.

The outcome of his progress was zero and with no progress with his dialect.

On the ninth day, Tobi had the opportunity to see Christy's beautiful figure. Despite giving birth about a week ago, she was still looking good as though she was in her twenties. She was finely endowed with right proportions in every aspect, with a yogurt body honed through hard work.

Her shoulder-length black hair lends her a fairy tale, Disney beauty.

Looking at his mother made him thought of those brave fantasy princesses.

Maybe because Tobi was still a baby or maybe because of the mother-son bond, he felt deeply proud of her.

He also discovered that she didn't use inner clothing or undėrwėȧr.

Once she finished dressing, Christy wrapped Tobi up making it impossible for him to move. Then she placed him into her wrapper sash, using it as a baby cradle so that she could easily handle him with only one arm and minimum exertion.

Walking out of the small bedroom, she found her older daughter, Bell sobering.

"For God's sake, what in God's name happened? She said with a solemn expression, trying not to rage out.

"Mummy, it just that my friends said they won't play with me until we get rid of the demon baby in our house."Bell the older daughter explained as she sobs.

"Mummy, is it true my brother is a Demon baby?"Bell said as she rubs her eyes with her little hands.

"Silly girl, they are just lying and all bad people. If he truly was a demon baby, he would have gouged out our souls when we slept. But see he didn't." Christy's face showed only concerned, as she brought her little daughter in an embrace.

Bell, together with her twin sister Bella and her elder son, was their only children after a tragic incident years ago.

Christy comforted her while cleaning up her teary eyes.

Tobi had never seen his sister cried before, and it gave him a weird feeling of experiencing his sister crying the way she did, he didn't know why but he felt hurt and wanted to comfort her.

"Sorry sis," He said inwardly trying to comfort her but what came out was baby words'ahh ehh'

Turning their heads they could see Tobi stretching his little hands forward in an attempt to touch Bell. She walked toward him slowly as he used his little hands in wiping out the little leftover tear beneath her eyes.

She couldn't help but giggle, he smiled seeing his sister's mood better.

"You see, your brother loves you"; Christy said with a smile as she patted Bell's head, while she sent her to open the windows lock, to let the dawn light in while she prepared breakfast.

Christy took several vegetables on top of the wooden cabinet and proceeded to chop them with a knife. Some looked familiar to Tobi, like water leaf and pumpkin, while the others were all a mystery.

At first, the idea of having such breakfast almost made Tobi cry, then remembered he was still a baby not older than eight days and as yet to grow set of teeth. In his previous life vegetables weren't his favorites.

Christy made some veggies small and big size then she poured water, before everything inside a copper pot and with the help of Bell she made a charcoal stove inside an underground hole. Where she made a fire for their breakfast.

Both Tobi and Bell had two different moods, for him it was like watching a cooking show, even in his previous life he would rarely watch it except he was bored and had nothing else to do.

For Bell, it was her one reason for a woman's pride. Though cooking was common, a delicious one was a bit difficult, every time Christy cooks it all seems like wonders and miracles. It was like watching a cooking pro.

"You are so amazing, Mummy!" Bell said full of awe and admiration. "When will I ever be as good as you Mummy?"

"Of course, soon enough" Christy replied with a smile but inwardly added 'After 15 years of cooking and chopping every single day

After a while, everyone was up to have breakfast together. The family of five consisted of Christopher (father), Christy (mother), two daughters (Bell and Bella), and Tobi.

Tobi thought's ran wild with a depressing certainty that they had no such thing as an indoor bathroom, though they an indoor kitchen.

From what he could see, the house consisted of a big room and two small rooms. The big room serves as their dining, kitchen, and a cupboard with two doors that lead to both outside and other rooms.

The breakfast was relatively quiet, so he had no problems learning a word or two when his family exchanged light talks.

Immediately after breakfast, everyone showed the strength of a wild beast, as they left for their daily routine, Christy moved Tobi to a wooden rocking chair.

Tobi spent his time watching out for abnormality, but he discovered nothing special at all. Life was like the way it was, back on earth. Their daily chores and washings were handled normally without any magic or external ability as they were all ordinary.

From his wooden rocking chair, Christy simply carried him for his baby milk, which all seem weird as a 30some-year-old man in a baby's body suċkɨnġ on a young lady, which he might be older than.

Life couldn't be funnier, for his situation. Tobi was delighted because he couldn't get arousal, if not he would have been caught as a baby man.

Even a blind man would see that he was tired of his situation, when bedtime arrived, Tobi was dying to get some sleep. He had waited so long for the day to end, that he felt like he was waiting for the moon to fall.

After a full day spent on nothing but watching, wetting himself, and feeding, he had decided that this world was ordinary. At least until he was confident enough to mysteriously wake up with ability.

Tobi could not time skip or even time travel, to know if he would later in his life acquire an ability.. Waiting was boring, and he was too afraid of having an ordinary life with nothing to call his own.
