Dawn Of Twilight

Chapter 80 - A Demon child 3

Grey was a bit muddle-headed as he prayed, but he'd already performed this ceremony of repentance in the past a couple of times. Even if he stammered over his words, there were generally no mistakes.

"It can't be!"

"We've found it!"

However, Grey found that the aura in his surroundings had changed after those words were said. The gazes gathered on him were like those of vicious wolves, causing every hair on his body to stand on end in his nervousness.

"What's going on?" Grey raised his head, stunned. He immediately saw that the white milky way blazing fire, was now bloody in color emitting a horrifying chilly feeling.

"Foreign Source!" Grey felt his neck being grasped, and his entire body was yanked into the air.

The Chief Priest in front of him now looked incomparably solemn. He could slightly see his father wailing before he was struck to the ground. Now even the villagers isolated his family members, keeping away from them like they had the plague.

"No! Once more, please try it once more! My son definitely would not blaspheme against the gods!" The cries lingered in Grey's ears, but the grasp on his neck was becoming increasingly tight, to the point that he was feeling suffocated.

At this moment, the palm released its hold on him, and the long-awaited fresh air poured into his nostril. Tears and mucus flowed out of him. "Say it, Heretic! How did you go against the teachings of the gods of our land?"

The Chief Priest's brows furrowed slightly at the sight of this heretic.

This heretic's strength was much weaker and was incomparable to powerful blasphemers. Such a small threat would not have warranted the gods descending and commanding them to act, though it was strange they didn't dare oppose.

"Jacki-chan" The Chief Priest first spread his fingers wide then started to move both arms in a circular motion, first up over Grey's head. Then he opened his arms as much as he could, before joining his hands, with his palm against Grey's head corners.

A sphere of golden light flew from the Chief Priest's hands, disappearing into Grey's forehead.

Following this, Grey found his mouth beginning to move involuntarily, answering all of the Chief Priest questions.

Grey's life had been very normal to the point that he found it to be extremely boring. When he was asked about the exploration earlier in the day, the Chief Priest's expression was now completely bleak.

"Quick, surround the kitchen at the back of this house!"

A tremendous force reverberated, and as Grey felt like his body was floating high up in the air before falling into a gigantic iron hoop, making him feel pained in his whole body.

With the escort of many soldiers, Grey and his family members arrived in front of their house.

Immediately after, numerous knights rushed forward as if meeting with some great enemy, discovering a mottled iron sword.

"Chief Priest!" The leading knight respectfully offered up the sword with both hands, and his knee bent on the ground.

The powerful, sinister strength from the iron sword caused the Chief Priest to frown, "A demonic item, or a temptation from the devils? Even appraising is useless on this."

Though he had no idea what the characteristic of this item was, the Chief had already been taught a set of powerful magical spells to use and what he had to do, so with great focus, he began chanting an incantation spell in an intricate tone that sounded as though he was about to cry.

The Chief Priest's eyes showed how solemn he was by this notion before he repeated piously, "Oh mighty gods of our land, please forgive your servant for his greed…"

For some reason, there were no strange changes to the iron sword that the boy had found. It docilely allowed the Chief Priest to add all sorts of incantations to seal it, and with numerous knights escorting it, they arrived at the altar in the village.

"This child's soul has already been polluted by the power of the foreign source…"

The Chief Priest stood before the altar, stating his final judgment on Grey.

"Burn him to death!"

"Burn him alive!"

"Burn the ba*tard alive!"

Before Grey could react, the many villagers began to howl in spite and hate.

Such a zealous atmosphere and the large difference from what Grey was used to, caused him suffered from heartbreak, and tears brimmed down his eyes.

Even his family was bound by the infuriated villagers on wooden crosses that had been made right on the spot.

Grey had a very bad feeling of what was going to happen.

"No! Please forgive them. I… I did nothing wrong! I only brought a rusty sword back. I'm willing to repent for that!"

Grey wailed and pleaded for the last time, "For the sake of the gods of our land', you can punish me, but please let my family go!"

"The family of the heretic must also be cleansed!"

What answered him was the Chief priest's cold expression.

Immediately after, amidst large amounts of flames and the cries of children, Grey fainted in both fear and tears.

"Mighty gods, your servant dutifully invites you to arise…"

After setting Grey's family on fire at the stake, the Chief Priest began to pray in front of the altar, in earnest with the other people.

As the Main offender, Grey and that iron sword contaminated by evil needed to be personally dealt with by the gods themselves.

"Hm… So this is it, oh great what would he do now?"

The dark figure interesting watched all that the Chief Priest did, "Using religious ceremonies to spread fanatic behavior while gathering and at the same time deceiving the…"

In its current state, he could have stopped it basically without a single resistance at all. But it's didn't, that was not his mission, and perhaps the holy humans could resurrect them again.

Through this period of observation, the details on the surface of the pact must be strict showing how the saints were handling such in front of it. It's clearly known the humans, and sometimes it's would even often wonder if ruthlessness were compared who would triumph between its kind and them?

The dark figure could clearly sense the strength and powers of the priests.

Though this way was very similar to his world, there were still differences.

The number of people here was obviously gathered only from the surrounding regions.

Furthermore, there were differences with the trade of equivalent exchange of the pact of what its high ups were doing.

The people here were all bottom levels of the saints and were just classified as servants of the high ups and it's was sure they had very low statuses.

This situation aroused its interest, urging it's to find out more.

It's watched the Chief Priest that had begun to chant, the feeling of an existence of a higher form descending began to tingle in the area.

"I guess this is the moment, I do my thing."

It's made its decision and then placed its focus on Grey.

The dark figure, whose body was merged in the shadows rub both its hands together, its mission was to remain hidden it had no reason to show itself anyways. And it needed some sort of medium.

Come to think of it, this boy was rather suitable.

Blood and fire! And then there were the spiteful smiles from the villagers, knights, and Chief priest… This was what Grey saw in his dreams.

The heavy feeling of being helpless and denial of power to speak, while being suppressed was like a huge mountain, destroying his soul.

In this situation, manipulating Grey's soul was just too easy for it.

"Hey child, do you want to take revenge?"

Many flames shot out all of a sudden, converging into fiery eyes of black flames that stared at interestingly Grey.

"Yes...yes, no matter who you are, whether a demon or devil, it's fine even if you want my soul. Please give me the strength to take the fight back and take revenge!"

"How resolved. I like it!" The black flames surged more followed by maniac waves of laughter, turning into a gigantic blazing winged bat that disappeared into Grey's body.

"Remember. My godly name is 12wings— the batman! Your soul, flesh and everything shall, from here on, belong to me!"

A voice sounded in Grey's mind, and immediately after, he felt as if his body was lit up with flames, which gave him the feeling as though something was burning.

"What's going on?"

"This kid's body is on fire!"

The clamor around him caused Grey to open his eyes once more, but the charred cross not too far away only resulted in tears of anger and a loud muffled cry.

The boiling hot feeling did not dissipate as Grey stared at his palm. This was no longer like a human. Strangely enough, there were scales with flames around his body and hands, looking like a palm of a demon that had come straight from hell!

"So… it wasn't a dream!" Grey mumbled.

At this moment, the Chief Priest and knights were all startled by Grey's appearance. From their point of view, he had suddenly been enveloped by a layer of fire, turning into some demonic thing that had come from hell.

"Capture him alive, the gods have spoken!" A golden radiance flickered from the bodies of a few knights as they brandished their large swords and charged towards him.

"Ah…" Grey shouted, and the seals on the broken sword that he had picked crumbled, and the sword fell into his hands.

"Die you all!" The broken sword slashed and created a few lining red streaks. Immediately after, the knights' bodies fissured, with blood and flesh flying everywhere alongside the horrified cries of the villagers.

As if there was a limitless amount of strength being poured through from the hilt of the broken sword, Grey was like a death knight as he reaped the lives of the surrounding knights.

"His life force seemed to have gotten more powerful. He's at least comparable to a rank 3!"

"gods of our lands, how is this possible?"

"gods, please bless us!" The many knights and shrine soldiers yelled in rage, fury, and despair.

However, Grey cared nothing at all for things like this. His mind had already been filled with rage and the thirst for revenge.

One after another, the enemies were destroyed under his bloody red field of vision, which soon focused on the Chief Priest.

"Mm! Let's end this with a final experiment. Innate ability: Devour!"

With the dark figure's will, Grey's arm grabbed onto the Father's shoulders.

Following this, his flesh began to melt at a visible rate.
