Dawn Of Twilight

Chapter 85 - New Technique

Each time he took a peek at the blood on his hands, he would feel an urge overwhelming him. Without being aware of his actions, he had lifted the dead noble's body towards his face region.

He didn't know what had come over him, and it was so unusual as he panicked still it was as if his body was working on an instinctual mind of its own.

His tongue grazes over the blood on the dead body, as his teeth's soon sunk into it. A mouthful of warm liquid flowed into his mouth down his throat, even though the thirst was soured at first the clomp of flesh his teeth had dugout, was immediately chewed as it made up for a sweetness he had never tasted before.

The feeling it brought was refreshing as though he was eating a fresh barbecue stake, with a touch of white soured wine. He couldn't help wipe his lips clean from the bloodstain.

Before the realization of what happened to him, what came was an after-effect of disgust and shock from the warmth overflowing in his veins and Mana core.

A tingling sensation ran through his body, as he felt his physique become stronger.

Was this the feeling of drinking blood? And how it feels for a vampire to be blood-horny?

'Wait does that mean am a vampire? That means I could absorb blood to become stronger, then it also means I have to avoid coming in touch with blood at all costs!'

Thankfully no one was there, if not he didn't know what he would have done. Would he have to hide or silence them?

Also the result of seeing made him felt different, obviously this was the effect of blood, He thought to himself. Now it seemed another major problem had arisen.

Though he didn't understand if his body required blood constantly, or not, the movies and novels he had come he contact with stated how vampires drank blood often.

There were a few thoughts now running in his mind about being a vampire and blood, if worse came to worse he would rather run far away from the village. Than to hurt his only family.

But first, before all that, he had to clean up the little mess he had made up.

After digging a couple of meters below the ground, even bypassing trees root. He buried the bodies of both humans, he also killed the horses and buried them too, to avoid revealing any evidence and future troubles that might arouse suspicion.

With everything returned to normal, Tobi was too exhausted to practice. So he had returned home after using his technique to reenergize himself.

As Tobi was approaching his house, he felt a sense of pity tormenting him.

'It's a shame though, such good horses and equipment, but I have no plausible excuse to hide it. I could try hiding them on our farm, but what if someone recognizes them?

'Too much risk for a small gain. I guess disposing of them was the right thing to do.'

Everything felt strange, he tried searching any part of his heart, if maybe would feel bad for what he had done.

But he felt none,' Is this what it means to be a Vampire?' With that thought in mind, he let himself fall into the ocean of the dream world.

The next day with his usual routine, with the money he earns he wanted Bella to be the first to benefit from his earnings. He gave Bell his big sister to buy warm fur for Bella that way, it would allow her to spend more time with everyone during the winter season.

In Tobi's eyes, every one of his family was precious than his life, except John. He loved them deeply, and as much care for them.

He wasn't willing to let anyone or anything, not even the villagers or a congenital illness, take his loved ones away from him.

He suffered at the thought of how little she enjoys from life. To give Bella the opportunity to experience more than just sitting and looking at everyone, Tobi gave his father an idea to built a wheelchair-like for her.

Though it was nothing special, just a wooden plank made like a wooden chair, with two backward handles to be held, with four legs for the four circular shape wheels. Equally distributing the weight among them, and two locks for the wheels, to maintain safety.

Yet the result appeared magical and awe-inspiring for his family, most especially Bella she felt overwhelmed with emotions.

A wheelchair seemed to be unknown in this new world, or at least here in Amai village.

"It's amazing. But what do we call this thingy?"

Tobi was a bit at loss for words, earlier he had only thought of making his sister happy, that he had not thought about the end result.

"Oh okay, let call it four legs bicycle."

'Well, it doesn't matter the name, even though it's no were near a bicycle.' He thought.

Bella immediately fell in love with her new present, and the four legs bicycle soon became popular in the family.

With his earnings, Bella's treatment was easily taken care of.

'If I can manage to achieve the same result my body grants me for Bella's body, without turning her into a vampire I could solve her condition. That would mean henceforth, she would require no more treatment."

In a blink of an eye, it was almost winter again, Tobi's fifth birthday was fast approaching as well.

Tobi was determined to earn as much, on every single day that passes. Before the weather arrives.

During the previous year, Tobi had explored more and more of the woods, as his powers grew increasingly. Sometimes he had to control his heightened senses, everything seemed to be like a loudspeaker if he pays attention too much, or too toxic to inhale.

After a while, he had created his newest skill, "Bust", it was a movement technique that allowed Tobi to infuse all his Mana in his body to his legs. Giving him a sudden burst of speed, for the shortest period of time.

But it wasn't an easy skill, maneuvering his body over where to go, and not to. Was difficult, even the slightest mistake could send his body, banging itself heavily against a tree.

That day Tobi was trying to get used to his new skill. In certain areas of the woods, a bang sound resonated continuously. At first, the whole forest shook continuously, but during the last few moments, the sound slowly calmed down.

'Damn, this skill, reminds me of Subway Surf.' Tobi thought.

Ever since Tobi started practicing his new skill, he had always tried manipulating his foot-works, but every time his concentration is at the next footstep, he would lose focus on his mana.

A bang resonated again.

He was running at full speed, but before his legs could change their directions, his body already rammed into a tree.

Making him feel a bump swell upon his forehead and then the dizzy feeling as he stood up again, before using Mana accumulator to reenergize himself to his full potential.

Tobi couldn't understand why he wasn't getting it right, his concentration on the footwork would make him lose focus on keeping the flow of Mana steady.

Even though the pain was minimal, but constantly getting hit, wasn't pleasant as it made him winced in pain, from the bang.

Tobi froze up. As a realization just done on him, rather than placing his concentration on the foot-works, and focus his mana.

Why don't he maneuver the Mana on his legs, to move according to his will?

Tobi's dim blue eyes gazed forward, taking a running stance. For a moment, it was like a wind had just blown by.

Looking at his legs a smile slowly crept up his lips.
