Dying In Real Life Is Another Way To Play

The Kingdom of Girana was the 26th Kingdom on her Majesty Queen Mirlana's itenerary list. Upon arriving she went directly to the Throne room as instructed by the castle custodian.

When the large wooden doors of the throne room was opened she entered and bowed.

"Greetings, your majesty, I am Queen Mirlana of the Kindom of Sylvannas , I came bearing ill-news and a command to rally."

"It seems that the Kingdom of Sylvannas has a surplus of Queens?" answered a sweet voice.

"Is that an insult?" Queen Mirlana asked

"Not really, I am surprised that you came as a messenger..." the sweet voice continued to echo

As Queen Mirlana looked closely, she found that she was looking at a young woman wearing a red venetian dress and was sitting on the throne.

"I don"t seem to recognize you? Are you the new Queen of Girana Kingdom?" Milana asked

"That's both a yes and a no." she said in response.

Confused, Queen Mirlana waited for an answer.

"Oh right, you don't recognize me any more... here's a reminder... Battle of Duren Pass" she said after which she took out two identical daggers.

When Queen Mirlana saw this, she jumped instantly backwards and drew her Jeweled daggers out of nowhere and poised to defend.

"What's the meaning of this?" she said angrily

"You're still to jumpy as ever..." after this the woman tossed the two daggers she held in front of Queen Mirlanas feet.

As it dropped and slid in front of her, Queen Mirlana saw the daggers more clearly and recognized it, she then sheathed her jeweled daggers back inside her dress.

"Was there really a need to put up a show, Scarlette the Slayer?" She said in an annoyed expression.

Scarlette looked like a beautiful caucasian young woman with red flame hair and blue eyes.

"Well, I just felt like doing it, you know me, I love playing tricks..." Scarlette said while grinning and then signaled a few soldiers to get a chair for the Queen to sit in.

"So, this is your new body huh? you should already know why I'm here... What happened to the previous King?" she asked her further as she sat down the chair provided.

"Oh, I killed him... since he was hunting down players, thinking what we can do was devil's work and all." she said in a non-chalant tone as she sat back on the throne.

"Your superiors should now know about the upcoming war, what's their stance on this?" Queen Mirlana asked.

"They agree on helping out in exchange for three kingdoms, this is the first one." she said.

"Isn't that too greedy?" Queen Mirlana felt dismayed.

"There are 26 kingdoms that we know of under the Elkadi Empire, we'll take only those that supress their populace... namely the last two kingdoms in your journey" Scarlette answered

-There were supposed to be 32 kingdoms, until your lot showed up.- Queen Mirlana thought to herself as she contined to show an expression less face

"And after that? You do know that, I still think you immortals are invaders..." Mirlana answered in an accusing tone.

"Well, we are in fact invaders but civil and upright... In our society, Kingdoms had long been abolished hundreds of years ago... they don't last and purely hypocrisy if you ask me..." She shrugged

"What do you suggest then..." Queen Mirlana was fuming in anger inside while keeping her composure

"Give rights to the people, and then either become a leader with advisors to vote and elect decisions, that's for starters... but that's just an opinion from me not from my superiors." she continued to say to her

"Do you think our nobles would agree to that?" She asked after thinking thatbshe wssn't trying to insult her or the kingdom but what could be best.

"No, nobles think it's their privelage to stand above all others... The reason I suggested this is that, most likely, my superiors wouldn't even take your kingdoms seriously." She said looking bored.

"Are your superiors the ruling class in your world?" she asked

"Nope, they're just a corporation, a type of organization similar to a kingdom. We're only representing a small portion of our world's governing body." Scarlette answered.

"Very well, I'll take into account what you told me. What about "our" people in your kingdoms?" Queen Mirlana asked.

"We'll manage them and provide equal oppurtunities... I can at least promise you that... and no more body snatching..." She smiled

"I hope thats the case..." she said

"Well, after you gifted us with tons of "crystal cores", we didn't have to... Am I right "Blue Witch of the East?" she said

"Don't call me that..." she looked at her sternly.

"By the way, my superiors would want to provide you information and seek help as well." Scarlette said looking serious.

"Go on.."

"Its about them royal demons you were expecting... For some reason, one of us died in our world and ended up in of of those demons bodies... kind of snatched it really." she said

"What!? where?" Queen Mirlana stood up in shock

"Woah! settle down... you must really hate them demons huh?... we don't know where they are as well, but it seemed that they're not within the boundaries of the Kingdoms that our towers could reach at the moment"

"Didn't you tell me that only under the influence of your "towers of babel" would your kind be able to move about?" Queen Mirlana clarified

"That's the thing, my superiors don't want any rouges, our "avatar bodies" can still function even after being out of the tower's range.. although it would only last a week at most, until it falls asleep" she said

"What help do you need me for?" Queen Mirlana asked further as she sat down

"Take this... that Jade Memory Slip contains the images of Zhang Shan, Titiana and Carnalia." after Scarlette spoke she passed her the device

"Our superiors want you to help out by posting their images and names in all kingdoms, if they are found, we'll take over from there... they'll most likely wander off in one of the kingdoms sooner or later."

"Three royal demons..." Queen Mirlana murmured as she closed her eyes and held the memory jade slip. As soon as she touched the slip, her hands glowed in blue aura.

After she reviewed the images, she stowed the slip in her c.h.e.s.t.

"Is there anything else?" Mirlana asked as she stood up.

"If you do know any ancient cities , that would help, our "mages" are extremely interested in learning your ancient culture and way of life." Scarlette stood up as well as she tried to show courtesy and lead her out.

"I will, by the way, are you still tricking your new members about the teleporter?" She asked.

"Do you mean about the teleporters being just for show?" Scarlette verified

"Yes, that's the one, the real ones can no longer be created since the last "time and space mage" disappeared during the ancient battles with the royal demons" Queen Mirlana Asked

"Yes, we're still doing it for practical reasons." Scarlette answered.

"Haven't they noticed why our people don't use it all?"

"It's acceptable for the players, our games in our world our like that as well. Only players can use teleporters, so it's really nothing new to them." Scarlette answered again

"I see.... sometimes your people are really something else..." Queen Mirlana

"Do give us an update about the three if you hear anything..." Scarlette reminded her.

"I'll tell you once we get news." Queen Mirlana said before leaving.

Afterwards,Queen Mirlana went directly to the carriage.

"Rusco, tell Remalaus we're going home..." as she said this she looked outside the window.

"Aren't we going to go rally the other two kingdoms?" Rusco asked

"No, they're already accounted for..." Queen Mirlana answered.

The carriage and convoy left the castle of Girana as Scarlette looked at it getting smaller on the horizon.

A man in armor went neat her and saluted.

"Team Leader Scar, the General wants you at the La Hazar Kingdom."

"Leave our unit here, tell Shana that she'll be coming with me." She said

"P-please... stop this...." Ye Qian pleaded as she was pinned on the ground face down with her hands held behind her back while a man sat on her.

"You know, I always wondered who is stronger than the two of the "Avalanche Duo"... So this is a rare ocassion" the man grinningly said as he looked forward at two silhouettes fighting in the mist.

In front, Ye Qing and Lan Ranyan are fighting head to head with each other, as if unable to notice their audience.

In the marshlands at the outskirts of the Kingdom of Hal Toria, just barely in the maximum range of the "babel tower". The Trio enntered a misty area, after a few breaths, the two started fighting but before Ye Qian was able to join the fight, he was pinned down and released from her "rage".

Ye Qing glowed with a reddish aura while Lan Ranyan glowed with a bluish one.

Chunks of iceblocks were scattered every where while the two continued to a stand off for a while, then...

*BBBOOOOOOOMMMMMM*

Ye Qing disappeared from his spot as soon as Lan Ranyan lifted her left hand forward.

An Ice Wall appeared in front of her as multiple Ice boulders appeared in mid air as they diagonally fell forward.

*BAAAAAADDDDDDDDUUUUMMMMM*

Ye Qing reappeared as he crased inti the ice wall.

*BAAAAAADDDDDDDDUUUUMMMMM*

As multiple boulders of Ice crashed on him, only scratches making his skin red with marks would appear on Ye Qing's body, it shows how durable his skin was when it comes into contact.

As he inched closer to Lan Ranyan, he held his sword, and when she was on attacking range if Ye Qing, he slashed.

*Shhhhhhhiiiiinnnnkkkkkk*

After the slash hit, one could see that Lan Ranyan turned into a block if Ice and reappeared instantly behind Ye Qing.

As her right hand touched Ye Qing, he became encapsulated into a frozen Ice sculpture.

Another Ice boulder appeared on top of the two as it started falling vertically.

"Tsk..." the man snapped opened his palm as the mist immediately retracted back into it.

As the boulder was rushing down to the two, Ye Qian shouted.

"NOOOOOO!!!!"

Seemingly out of trance, Lan Ranyan Looked up as she kicked herself away from her location by stepping horizontally on the now frozen Ye Qing which in turn flew forward in the opposite direction.

Lan Ranyan saw that the Ice boulder would still hit Ye Qing as she gritted her teeth, focused and waved her two hands to the left and right causing the Ice Boulder to disappear roughly six inches away from Ye Qing. Ye Qings frozen state dispelled simultaneosuly as her bluish aura faded away.

"Shit... W-what happened?" As Ye Qing came to his senses, he was gritting his teeth and touching his arms with both hands while shaking due to the biting cold he felt.

Lan Ranyan looked at the Man and the pinned Ye Qian as she said coldly "I don't think we've met before... Why the hostility?"

The man grinned as he released Ye Qian and bscked away a bit.

"Temper... temper... Snow Queen. My Name is Leito. Yes we don't have any enmity and it was just out of curiosity that I made you both play around for a bit." He said.

As soon as Ye Qian was released she started standing up and disappeared.

*BBBOOOOOOOMMMMMM*

When she reappeared she was behind Leito with her Bow on arrow knocked ready and aimed at his head.

"Bastard..." Ye Qian gritted her teeth in anger waiting for a signal from Lan Ranyan for any combination attacks.

"Hold it in Qian-er, we didn't get harmed that much..." Lan Ranyan said softly after getting back her composure.

"The Legion? I see..." Ye Qing said as he started rubing his body to ease of the coldness.

Leito started moving slowly as he walked towards the broken chunks of ice. Ye Qin followed him with her sights, the bow and arrow still aimed at him but she did relax a bit and calmed herself.

Leito slowly grabbed the broken piece of Ice and licked it as he said.

"This ice tastes a bit acidic... Don't you think?" as he looked at Lan Ranyan

Lan Ranyan looked at him blankly and said

"It seems the mist earlier is a tyoe of pheromones that induces rage and anger... I heard that the "Legion" can make players and NPC's fight for him... It seems the rumors were true."

"Good deduction... your dicovery skills doesn't seem too lacking..." He said in response

"Let me deduce yours as well... This Ice is already melting, unlike Ice type spells or players thatvI've seen before, there Ice would still be in a frozen state at this time..."

"Usually, the ice would either be salty or bland depending on the air around us from where the water particles would condense from... however, yoirs seems to be not from around here..." Leito added.

"Aren't you too damn smart?" Ye Qian questioned sarcastically.

"With my senses and eyesight, normal Ice mages would condense their Ice or frost into a single point until they enlarge... While your' happen to appear instantly" Leito answered without answering Ye Qian

Lan Ranyan looked at him in disdain but didn't say anything.

"The way you disappear is a mystery itself... there will be sounds of sonic booms but unlike the others who my eyes and senses can follow... you disappear in the truest sense... the last time you did, you forgot to add in the "sound" did you not?" Leito added

Lan Ranyan: "..."

"It seems.... your not really an Ice Mage... but a false one..." Leito continued.

Ye Qian and Ye Qing were confused as they looked at Leito and then at Lan Ranyan, waiting for her response.

Lan Ranyan: "..."

Leito said as she looked at Lan Ranyan mockingly, as if announcing her deepest and darkest secret.

"What do you say... Sorceress of Time and Space?"
