Enigma: Being Chased By A Sly Ghost Husband

A groan left Shin Ryujin's eyes as she gained her consciousness, and raising her hand, she rubbed on her forehead. Between both of her eyebrows creases formed while she squinted her eyes open.

"Ah! This sucks! I should not have drunk so much. There is no Aera to make hangover soup for me," she stated— her voice coming out to be gruff.

Opening her eyes wide and adjusting them to the light, she pressed her palm on to the surface of the couch and tried to sit up. Leaning her back against the couch, a yawn left her mouth.

That's when her eyes fell on the sight before her, and her eyes widened. A gasp escaped from her mouth as she moved back slightly.

The room in front of her was a complete mess. The flower vases was thrown on the ground— luckily, not broken— and pieces of paper was strewn all around the place. The table before her was flipped.

Her eyes fell on the kitchen, and she realized that it was in a messy state as well. Shock filled her in that moment, and she wondered what had happened.

"Could it be that Aera returned last night? No, Aera would never create such a mess. Did I do it due to being drunk? No, that can not be possible. I am pretty sure that I was sober before I went to the bed.

Was there a thievery? Yeah! That could be it. How much dead drunk were you, Ryujin? You did not even notice that a thief had broken into your house. I doubt that the thief had gotten anything valuable," she mumbled to herself.

Getting down from the couch, she decided to check the bedrooms just in case one time before calling the police. Although there was not anything worth stealing at her room, Aera had quite a lot of cash on her.

Nervousness began to rise within her as she made her way to Aera's room, and holding on to the handle, she opened the door to the room.

However, the sight before her left her startled. Min Aera's room was completely clean, and there was no signs of mess inside it.

Then, Ryujin decided to open the door to her room. Her eyes widened when she realized that her room was exactly the same as she had left it as well. Although it was somewhat messy, Ryujin was aware on how she was behind that.

Shin Ryujin instantly made her way to the main door of the house, while avoiding the objects thrown on the ground, and she realized that no one has broken in through the door. The door was exactly fine.

Then, she took the initiative to check the window's of the room and noticed that all of them were closed.

The situation was starting to feel more alarming to her by each passing second, and anxiety began to rise within her. Pressing both of her lips together, she was attempting to think of a possible reason to this situation.

However, the fright within her was not helping it, and she decided to contact Aera. Min Aera was the smarter one between the two of them; surely, Aera could think of a way out of this.

A certain mischievous figure hiding at the corner let out a chuckle at the scene before him.
