A yawn escaped from Shin Ryujin's mouth as she walked into her apartment, and after closing the door behind her, Ryujin turned to look at her room.

It was completely silent.

Then, her eyes went towards her fridge, and noticing a sticky note attached to it, Ryujin made her way towards the kitchen.

Standing before the fridge, she extended her hand towards it and pulled off the sticky note attached to it. Staring at it, she read through the content.

"Don't eat too much of instant noodles. It's not good for you, and I have cooked meal you for you. It's on the table. If it gets too cold by the time you return home, just reheat it. I will not be at home today. There are some urgent matters I need to take care of."

After scanning her eyes through thr contents, she crashed the piece of paper within her hand and turned back to look at the dining table.

She noticed how Aera had set up the table for her and took a whiff of the food cooked for her. A small smile appeared on her face at that while warmth spread through her.

"That explains the mouthwatering scent. Aera-ah, I really love you so much. Isn't she staying out too much these days? Has she gotten a boyfriend? No, no, no, that's bad. I can't let her date anyone," Ryujin vocalised as a chuckle escaped from her mouth.

After one last glance at the food, she decided upon having them after she was done showering. Currently, her muscles were all aching, and a shower would definitely make her feel better.

As Ryujin stood under the shower, many thoughts began to come inside her mind. Some of their were terrible while others were good. Standing under the water always made such thoughts emerge inside her mind.

For as much as Ryujin could remember, Aera was always by her side. Aera was everything to her. She protected Ryujin and guided her.

There was a time in her life Ryujin found herself completely lost and a mess. At that time, Aera stuck by her side, offering her support when no one was there beside her side.

Aera was a pillar to her— without which she would completely crumble. Maybe she would not have survived to this day if it was not for Aera.

Ryujin's memories from some years back— she isn't exactly able to point out the year— was completely hazy.

Even if there a d.e.s.i.r.e within her to surface those memories, something within her held her down. Probably because of how frightened she was to uncover those memories.

If Ryujin had forgotten them, it was most likely because there was nothing good about those memories, and going through the pain after recalling them made her reluctant on the entire thing.

That's why, she held in on her curiosity.

One more reason she was hesitant to recover her past memories was Aera's crying face. She recalled about how hard Aera begged her to not try to recall about her past.

Seeing that was enough to crush Ryujin's determination. Aera was by her side when no one was, and Ryujin would not ever be able to repay Aera back.

That's why, she decided to not try to remember about all that. Regardless of what the cost was, she did not want to see the girl in such pain ever again.
