Hogwarts vampire professor

Chapter 3: Lifting the boards of his own coffin

Dumbledore very thoughtfully attached a Defense Against the Dark Arts professor accident statistics table with the appointment letter, placed it on his desk, and pushed it in front of Dracula.

Dracula picked up this long list and read with interest:

"Accident statistics for Defense Against the Dark Arts professors - being run over by a wild boar, being blown up by his own spell during class, starving to death after getting lost in the castle, tripping with his left foot and hitting his right foot on the platform and falling to death... "

"Hehehe... not many people can even leave this position alive." Dracula laughed with interest, showing two sharp side teeth.

"Ahem."

Dumbledore looked at the interested Dracula, coughed twice as a reminder, and pointed to the "cause of death" of the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor further back.

Dracula moved his eyes away and then stopped smiling.

Written on the parchment——

"Listen to students telling jokes, laugh to death for half an hour and then die from laughter."

"..."

He put aside the accident statistics form, held the appointment letter in front of his eyes, and signed his name casually.

"Okay, besides the cause of their death, is there anything else you need to know as a professor?" Dracula looked at Dumbledore and asked.

"Since you agree to apply, we will be colleagues from now on." Before even answering Dracula's question, Dumbledore stood up impatiently and shook hands with him eagerly. "Everything that needs to be prepared is in the appointment letter. Once it’s written, as for the teaching content, you need to consider it yourself.”

"I think the legendary Count Dracula should be very good at 'defense' against black magic, right?"

Dumbledore emphasized the pronunciation of the word "defense", seeming to emphasize that this course was Defense Against the Dark Arts, not the teaching of the Dark Arts.

"Don't worry, Mr. Principal." Dracula waved his hand casually and walked towards the window of the Principal's office.

After taking two steps, he turned back again.

He took the bloody lollipop from Dumbledore's hand, then returned to the window of the principal's office and jumped down...

Dumbledore glanced at the open window and couldn't help but spread his hands.

Then, he looked at the appointment letter on the table and laughed happily.

"Nico, thanks to you, Hogwarts can recruit a fairly reliable Defense Against the Dark Arts professor this time!"

Dumbledore happily took out a phoenix relief mirror that was very similar to Dracula's bronze mirror and said to the mirror.

As for the resume with Quilinas Chilo's name on it in the corner of his desk, he subconsciously ignored it.

London, Diagon Alley.

Dracula had a blood-flavored lollipop in his mouth and the list of items that came with the appointment letter in his hand, looking at it boredly.

"It's really troublesome to be a professor and you need to prepare a wand."

Although he was complaining like this, in order to experience the fun of being a Defense Against the Dark Arts professor, Dracula could only head to Ollivander's Wand Shop deep in Diagon Alley.

The development of the magical world is as slow as ever. Except for the replacement of a few small shops and the shop signs becoming more shabby, the structure of Diagon Alley seems to be no different from a hundred years ago.

And Ollivanders is, as always, the best wand shop.

However, Diagon Alley seemed a bit lively today, with many people rushing towards the Leaky Cauldron.

Dracula's wine-red eyes moved and he looked deeper into the crowd.

He saw that a group of wizards were chatting and even bowing around a child with ragged round eyes in curiosity and awe.

But the thin little wizard was at a loss. He could only try his best to take care of everyone's emotions and keep shaking hands with them, like a doll that could be manipulated.

Seeing this messy scene, Dracula suddenly lost interest, turned around and continued walking towards Ollivander's Wand Shop.

Accompanied by the tinkling bells, Dracula came to this small and shabby shop. Seeing the environment where everything around him was covered with a thin layer of dust, he frowned without revealing any trace.

Upon hearing the arrival of the guests, an old man with pale eyes and pale skin drew out silently.

"Good afternoon," he said softly.

After seeing Dracula, his expression became a little confused:

"Strange, really strange..."

Dracula was a little impatient with this kind of pretentious and time-wasting behavior, and looked at him expressionlessly.

The obscure dark power fluctuated quietly, and the red and black cloak moved without the wind.

Ollivander was startled and did not dare to lie any more. He hurriedly continued: "Sir, it's like this. I remember every wand I sold. I remember every one."

"But I have no impression that I have ever sold a wand to you. Perhaps you purchased your wand from another wandmaker?"

"No, I haven't bought a wand." Dracula crossed his arms and stared into Ollivander's light eyes, "I'm going to buy my first wand."

Ollivander seemed taken aback and asked in disbelief: "Have you never used a wand since you were a child?"

"I've used it before, but I'm not used to it."

The technology for making wands has only been fully mature for a few hundred years, and Dracula has long been accustomed to casting spells without a wand and using the vampire's natural magic to fight and live.

If he hadn't played with other people's wands for a while out of curiosity, he might not even know how to use a wand.

If it were not for the purpose of teaching students, Dracula would most likely never have thought of buying a magic wand.

"Oh, then you have missed one of the greatest arts in the world." Ollivander couldn't help but said, but seeing Dracula's unkind expression, he immediately changed his words, "Of course, everyone has it. The freedom to choose whether to use the wand or not!”

As he spoke, he took a wand from the shelf and put it into Dracula's hand.

"Straight-grained pine, unicorn tail hair, fourteen...and more!"

Before he could finish the introduction, Ollivander snatched the wand back from Dracula's hand in a panic and quickly took care of it.

"How could this happen? I feel the wand trembling!" he said in disbelief.

Dracula shrugged.

There is no way, unicorns are not compatible with dark creatures like vampires, and ancient vampires like him will have a serious impact on unicorns.

After maintaining the wand with the unicorn tail hair core, Ollivander became much more cautious.

He tried various wands with dragon heartstrings and phoenix feather cores for Dracula, but none of them could adapt to his magic power. Using these wands was not even as comfortable as casting spells without a wand.

"Forget it, don't try again."

Dracula, who kept repeating the same action and tried the wand for a long time, was extremely bored. Seeing that Ollivander wanted to go upstairs to get more wands, he flatly refused.

With a "bang", a thick black wooden board was smashed to the ground of Ollivander's Wand Shop by Dracula.

"Use this wood and build me a new wand!"

Dracula said this while holding on to his coffin board.
