Glancing at both of the axes he held in his hands, a smile that probably did not seem at all friendly and fluffy when one had a bull's head, played on the lips of Astherios. He knew that depending on the race of the one who opened the c.h.e.s.t, proper items would be released to him. But the fact that he had won a pair of axes in his first time really made him scream "Jackpot" in his mind, he knew how rare it was for a monster to get double items and the best of all was that there were not many weapons that matched better with a Berserker than a pair of axes.

But even though Astherios had been excited about the guns, he knew this was not his biggest gain. In fact, the c.h.e.s.t in which the axes met was much more important and useful to the minotaur than any weapon he could wield, that was because the c.h.e.s.t had a very special name "Storage Box"

This was one of the secrets and items that only a few of the monsters knew to recognize and use and which other races always ignored and left behind. In Astherios' opinion, it was strange that no one had ever wondered why a c.h.e.s.t could have inside it several times its size and not even get heavier

"Absorb" Stopping the reflect on how many treasures in the world were ignored as well as that c.h.e.s.t, the minotaur simply reached out to touch the c.h.e.s.t again, a smile playing on his lips as he heard the ad again in his head:

「Want to absorb the item box?」

"Yes." As that response escaped the minotaur's lips, a flash of light enveloped the c.h.e.s.t before it shrank to a size thousands of times smaller and became a beam of light that penetrated the minotaur's body, causing another announcement in the mind of Astherios.

「Item Box was successfully Absorbed.」

At the time the announcement sounded the minotaur sensed that there was some sort of "black" space inside his body, one that differs from the space where his soul was, allowed him to glue and remove items from that place at will. As if to test this, the minotaur gyrate the axes and before they could complete a circle round, they simply disappeared from the monster's hands, as if they had never existed in the first place.

"Now all is done." With a satisfied nod as he felt that the former completely empty black space now had two huge axes, the minotaur took one last look at the room where he was "born" and nodded, it was time to get out of there, to venture out and become stronger.

Going to the door that the adventurer who even the author of the novel must have forgotten the name had used to enter the room, a smile played on the lips of Astherios, he had waited 10,0000 years to be reborn in this world and when was about to be reborn had to worry with some young idiot who dreamed of the life of a hero of the novel, but now, finally, he could again venture into this world and see what changes had taken place in those millennia in which he had been absent.

What about that room? Soon the dungeon would create another monster to take its place, with luck, it would not be as weak as the first monsters invoked.

[Boar Head Pub - Iron City Dungeon]

At one of the tables of a popular pub in town, a group of three men gathered to drink and celebrate the dungeon's profits with drinks and laughter, they had recently managed to kill a rare species of monster, and thanks to that they had earned enough to waste a little on that day.

"You know, two adventurers have recently disappeared in the dungeon, one woman and one man." One of the men who was no taller than 1.40 tall with red hair and a long beard of the same color had decided to talk about the disappearance of two adventurers , as if he had just remembered the subject.

"And what about this Bill? Adventurers die and disappear every day in the dungeons, they must be two foolish newbies who went beyond their capabilities. "Looking at the dwarf named Bill in confusion, a man with black hair and green eyes could not understand what was so interesting about that.

"Oh, I heard about that Jack!" Before the dwarf named Bill could answer, the last of the three, a blond man with blue eyes and pointed ears entered the conversation, his voice showing interest as he continued the dwarf initiated topic.

"Apparently that newbie .... Wow, I forgot his name .... The spear guy, the one who found some decent items in the dungeon and was all proud of that in the last months! Looks like he and another adventurer disappeared on the first floor of the dungeon! "Having given up remembering the name of the adventurer, the elf gave a quick description of him before continuing with a smile on his lips.

"Do you believe that? He was already a month ago on the second floor of the dungeon and had good items, but he still died on the first floor! Is or is not it a funny story? A novice without strength was too proud because found some items and died pathetically! "

Hearing the elf's words, the other two men could not help nodding. Even if it were a rookie, dying on the first floor of the dungeon where there were only "free experience" monsters that only served to give good training to the newbies and raise their levels, it was really pathetic.

"Actually, nobody knows if he really died or ran away. Since he found those items in secret places, there was a suspicion he was committing r.a.p.es inside the dungeon and an investigation was initiated, maybe he ran away? "Listening to the possible explanation of the dwarf, the other two men thought it was a valid idea, if the rookie knew he was being investigated it would be prudent for him to run away without anyone noticing.

And so the disappearance and possible death of two human beings was turned into nothing more than a slightly interesting subject for a bar talk, after all who would care for two stupid newbies ? If they could not survive even at the lowest level of the dungeon, they had no future as adventurers.
