Although it was something common for the people of this world, for people of other dimensions the very existence of a dungeon might be strange and they might wonder why dungeons existed and how they had so many fantastic skills and fantastic prizes for the monsters that were inside it, and yet reward the invaders if they could kill the monsters. After all, if there were no monsters or rewards inside a dungeon, why would humans try to invade the floors of the dungeon so desperately?

In fact, the dungeons were not something that existed from the beginning, the truth was that they only arose after a great war between two divine pantheons: Shylia and Abyson.

Shylia: It was composed of the gods responsible for creating the more humanoid-looking races like the Elves, Dwarves, Mermaids, Humans, Barbarians, Fairies, Eladrins, Nymphs, Hobbits, Aesires, Giants, and so on.

Abyson: On the contrary the gods of Shylia's pantheon, the gods of this pantheon had created the races of the Minotaurs, Orcs, Vampires, Demons, Lamia, and other monstrous races.

After the creation of their respective races, to decide which pantheon had created the higher races, the gods had ordered their creatures to battle against each other, deciding that those who could survive in the end would be crowned with the title of the strongest race, bringing honor and glory to the whole pantheon.

For centuries the war between the different races continued without showing any clear winner and at a certain moment even the gods of both pantheons began to fight against each other, determined to define not only who had created the higher races but also which pantheon was superior.

This was the birth of an era of chaos, war, death and blood. A time watered by the extinction not only of thousands of races, but also of countless numbers of gods who had created these races and given life to this world. And as the years passed, the number of races that were brought to extinction increased with each passing day and with that the number of disappearing gods became more.

Seeing their pantheons destroy themselves and many of their races being brought to death by nothing but meaningless competition, Freya the goddess of war and love of the pantheon of Shylia and Astaroth, the god of hidden treasures, of seduction and deceit of the pantheon of Abyson, they united to fight against both pantheons, counting on the help of other gods who no longer tolerate to see the massacre caused by the races that had created.

With the help of the gods of both pantheons and the strength each possessed, Freya and Astaroth were soon able to eliminate all the gods who did not hear the voice of reason, taking their deities and taking their places, so that there would be no more loss of powers and knowledge for this.

And then, after a hard battle that lasted more than 20,000 years, finally, all the gods who insisted on the war and the continuity of the contest had finally been killed or sealed and the world could finally live in peace again, or was what the gods but after millennia of war many of the races had developed unlimited hatred for each other, and some, after the loss of the gods who created it, lost the intelligence with which they were blessed and became nothing but beasts thirsting for war , blood and s.e.x. And as if that were not enough, the earth had been destroyed to the point that it would take millennia until plants were born again.

Saddened by the result of a worthless war, Freya, who had now become the most powerful goddess, and Astaroth, who after the war gained more domains than any other god, decided that all those monsters and races that had been modified as a result war, would be sealed within the dungeons, but not abandoned, together the two gods gave the races the ability to evolve, to become beings superior to what had once been and with luck, to recover their lost wisdom. And within these dungeons, which had been blessed by the gods, the other races were able to acquire treasures, food and increase their strength, thus creating a unique environment full of dangers and rewards for both sides.

After pacifying the races that had gone to war and helped them to create their own kingdoms and nations, each with dungeons in their territories, the gods warned their followers about the rewards and dangers of a dungeon, remembering in that place the life of a monster and their lives had the same value to the gods and that in the end both were their children and their creations.

When death and the lives of monsters and races? In the end what died were their bodies, their souls were eternal, as long as there was no senseless massacre, the races were free to live as they wished.

Thus were born the dungeons and the monsters that lived in them, from time to time monsters could evolve enough to gain intelligence and strength enough to get out of the dungeons. Some decided to live freely, some created their own cities, and a few even declared war races outside the dungeon, creating wars between nations and deaths. But the gods never interrupted in person, at most they gave blessing to those who were deserving of it, their races were now free, and that freedom came at the cost of their own deeds.
