Belial was rough as he pressed a possessive kiss to Azreal's lips, grabbing her shoulders and forcing her to stay put.

Not that she was attempting to escape at the moment. Her mind was racing a hundred miles a minute..

'My... What?' She thought frantically.

Her eyes open wide, she stared at Belial's raven black hair. It's silky strands were falling across her brow as she stood stiff as a board, in complete shock.

Cameron could be heard in the background exclaiming "He's a demon! How could he be her mate?"

Azreal tried to push out of his grip, trying to gather her bearings, but Belial held fast.

He shoved his tongue against her lips making Azreal gasp as he gained entry. With that first swipe of his tongue, something animalistic in her rose up and instead of fighting him she was pulling him closer, pushing her body flat against his. Belial let out a satisfied growl as her softer parts aligned with his.. harder parts.

Belial was finally satisfied with consuming her mouth and moved to her neck, his hands slowly raising from her waist to her c.h.e.s.t. The anticipation was driving Azreal mad, and she let out a low m.o.a.n as she frantically tried untying his tunic so she could put her hands on his b.a.r.e c.h.e.s.t.

"ENOUGH!" Cameron screamed as he shoved between them.

Azreal, who had been leaning completely on Belial, stumbled and fell on her a.s.s with a loud thud.

Belial on the other hand, looked to be in a sheer rage, Roaring at Cameron. Belial's beautiful green eyes turned a deep shade of red as he began to transition into his demon form; blue flame billowed up around him as his power assimilated.

Azreal shook her head, unable to keep up with this intense turn of events.

Nadie was suddenly behind her frantically whispering in Azreals ear. "Get up child, he's going to kill Cameron if you don't stop him! You've mated now, with that kiss, he's not thinking clearly. All he knows is another male touched his mate. Go HURRY!"

Confusion and guilt gripped her. She had mated with a stranger in the middle of where her people had just been burned alive.

She was nauseous as she staggered towards Belial. Unable to hold back the trail of tears now dripping down her cheeks.

"Stop, please, I cant take this.." Azreal trailed off covering her mouth.

She could see Belial's eyes slowly shift towards her, he was trying to calm down, but he was too deeply ensnared by his predatory side to let go of the mass amount of power he's acc.u.mulated to kill Cameron with; not even just kill him, with that amount of energy, he would be dust on the wind.

Belial looked like the picture of death incarnate, red eyes gleaming in his strong chiseled face, the predatory gleam only further sharpened his features. Long raven strands of hair escaped from it's braid and fell loosely about his neck. His broad c.h.e.s.t had expanded even further from the shift and his tunic was stretched tight, accentuating his lean, muscular frame. All this feral beauty encased in a pillar of blue flame.

"Belial.. stop" Azreal's whisper was a push of breath taken by the wind, but Belial had no problem hearing her; as his flames slowly died down, only a crown of wild fire circled his head as he held his hand out to her.

Azreal was almost mesmerized as she instinctively walked towards him and gently laid her small scarred hand in his, while staring deeply into his ruby eyes. The moment her fingers made contact with his skin she felt electrified, and without looking or asking Azreal knew a crown of wild fire encircled her raven hair as well.

"Thank you" Azreal whispered a faint blush rising to her cheeks.

"Did you seriously just thank him for not killing me?" Cameron was damn near fuming now.

Belial was about to rip Camerons head from his shoulders when Nadie thankfully came to the rescue.

"I told you how dangerous it would be to separate mates, especially angels and demons who have the power to raise and tame hell on Rellium!" Nadie furiously spat.

Lucia pipped up at that and said "Well excuse Cameron for getting upset about Azreal making out with some random guy while everyone else is crying and suffering!" She was shaking with her anger, her fire magic flaring up in her eyes, turning them into living embers.

"I..I.." Azreal stuttered, she didn't know what to say, she couldn't explain what was happening to her.

Nadie's voice turned tendered as she turned sad eyes on Lucia, "Azreal didn't chose this, It was a primal reaction. Angels are wired differently than the rest of us, their instincts are more dominant. We are lucky they have been able to control themselves thus far. Usually when an Angel mates they become overly protective, on edge, and the need to be together physically can drive them insane."

Azreal swallowed 'Oh great, now I'm going to turn into some s.e.x crazed zombie..' she thought darkly. Belial choked a bit and started coughing, Azreals head snapped in his direction.

"Stay out of my head!!" She squawked indignantly, batting at his arm.

"This changes nothing," Azreal said as she stepped away from Belial, clearing her thoughts.

"We will continue to find out what we can about the Necromancer on our way to The Gardens, and we will decide there who will continue the hunt with me and who will stay here."

As she finished she looked each person in the eye, some of them held her gaze, others dropped it, but they all murmured their agreement. Azreal let out a frustrated puff, and said "Cameron can we talk? Privately?" Azreal motioned for Cameron to follow her but not only did Belial reply "Absolutely not", but Cameron backed away and said "I'm not ready to talk yet, Azreal." As he walked over to Bea and Eros who looked just as confused as Azreal felt.

'Great, this was a great way to start an extremely long journey across thousands of miles.'
