Chapter 60: Black Crown

Elder Galvin questioned, "What.. what are you talking about?" he become nervous too, the Kioka Kingdom is just like a province compared to others places. The people who lives here didn't know that the kingdom's power is just like a chicken compared to others who really have cultivates themselves. Their cultivation is basic among basic in the world and yet they are proud because the commoners didn't know a thing so they think highly of themselves.

"You touch something you shouldn't touch." Lefina said loud and clear. He looked at the trio, "Right?"

The trio all nodded, 'Yah you shouldn't touch our boss.. she's a little monster..'

"Are they.. okay?" Josh stuttering said. He looked at the cell where Lilibeth is and start to moved. Because it's dim he stop and look at Lefina's torch.

No one answered him, it's the elder who asked another question, "Who? Don't accused me." , 'You guys are just a commoner and don't have any connection so how can I offend a great being.', "You must be lying, your cell is opened so you guys must be the one who responsible for this." He grinned thinking that it is possible. "Guards!!" He shout and group of his guards emerged.

"Stop!" The officer commanded, but the guards didn't stop, Elder Galvin signal his guard and they stop. He raised an eyebrow to looked at the officer.

"Search if there are still alive in this prison and look for the little child." The soldier obey.

Josh looked at Lefina, "Goddess can I borrow your torch, I'm just gonna check Lilibeth's cell is she is okay."

Lefina looked at him and understand that Lilibeth must be in another cell, she just assumed that she was with this trio because this cell is pretty huge. 'But are they still in here? The ancient man didn't bring them with him?'

After walking and soon reached their cell they began calling their names. "Lilibeth!! Rene!!" Lefina and Josh loudly yell. They have some soldiers with them. They reached the cell of Lilibeth. The cell is opened too. This cell is larger than the first one. "Ouch!!"

After walking they saw a little child standing at the corner, she looks fine but what behind her makes Josh and Lefina worried. "Rene?"

"...."

Liberaine just lower her head and didn't answer, she is not listening to them. She already heard the voice of Lefina calling her and Lilibeth's name but as soon she is ready to answer them she heard a voice behind her back.

"....  iss"

A soft voice and sweet voice that she is so familiar. This is the first time. First time that she heard the meaning of her voice. Not in the memories of Rene but she as Liberaine in the present .. Tears soon fall in her cheek, the first word that she heard is, "Young miss." She is still just standing frozen and didn't answer.

"Y..oung.. miss?"

".... why.. are.."

Liberaine just listened to her sweet voice. 'Dmitri this is the most successful job you've ever done to help me.'

"Rene?" Liberaine snapback hearing the voice of Lefina, she yelp, "Lefina, get some help to treat Lilibeth... she is injured." After that she turn back a d meet the black eyes of Lilibeth looking at her. "Sorry I can't fully heal you now, I'm too weak to do that." Liberaine whispered.

Liberaine smiled at her and gently covered Lilibeth's mouth and said, "Do not talk, rest first."

Josh and Lefina heard their conversation. 'Lilibeth just said.. young miss.. and Rene didn't call her big sis...' Lefina shake her head and move to call some help while Josh is remained standing. "You guys.. what are you? And aren't you..".. 'mentally disable?', "And what happened to Lilibeth?" Liberaine only glanced back at Josh.

"Wait the kid is really here?" The voice of an officer ran to their cell, the room is now full of torch and can see all what is inside the cell. "Hey checked how many guards are missing in the Combre House." After he said that he walked slowly to Liberaine. "Are you okay?"

Liberaine smiled but there are some tears in her eyes and blood in the corner of her mouth. The officer pity her, "It must be hard huh!?" He get a white embroidered handkerchief and wipe the corner of her mouth. The officer think that the elder really hit her. After he set his eyes behind Liberaine, he is shocked, "Call some help."

"Goddess already call." Josh answered.

After saying that an elderly man came and advice them to take them outside. The officer call some of his men to get a wooden stretcher and they carefully put Lilibeth on it. Liberaine move sideways of Lilibeth and hold her hand like Lilibeth always do to her. The people around them found it cute and sweet so they didn't stop her.

Outside the prisoner, they can now breathe some fresh air. But as soon as Liberaine laid her eyes on an elderly man and his arrogant granddaughter, her aura changed. She felt dizzy again and mumble something she herself didn't even know what she mumbled. Her green eyes darkened. As if Liberaine is hallucinating she saw the the scene change before her and the tree in her dream showed up.

The tree is still wilted but the grass under it is gaining its color. The wilted tree have a big hole in the stem of it. Inside that hole there is a little plant. Liberaine felt an ominous feeling after seeing the plant, the plant looks really alive but the scary thing is the mark and the color of its leaves. The leaves are color red and the mark in the middle of it is a black crown.

The scene changed again it come back to where she was. 'Right!! I killed many people this time and I don't feel any pity to them. Instead I feel satisfaction inside my heart.. this is different. It can't be.' Liberaine now noticed that something inside of her is changing in the past if she killed a human may it devil or good she will not feel any satisfaction only guilt and pity, but this time what she felt is satisfaction. She look at her left hand and found nothing, then she looked at her right hand that is holding Lilibeth's left hand and become scared. She let go of Lilibeth and looked at it again in terror. She found a mark on her left hand, a symbol that she is familiar when she was in earth, a black crown.
