Monster Evolution

Mark was surrounded by 20 guys. He was at an disadvantage in numbers but he did not mind. Mark would teach these guys a lesson they will never forget. He was tired from being harassed by this group and he couldn't take it anymore.

As Ryan tried to punch Mark, his legs shot out and he dodge every single one who wanted to hold him down. He was like a phantom, he punched every underling that was most near to him, every punch made by Mark would make a bone breaking noise that made the others fearful of him.

Many were now lying on the ground, they were in pain and those that hadn't make a move yet were shocked. Mark did not stop his assault he kicked and punched the remaining and punched Ryan in his side with a left hook. Ryan flew towards the wall and slammed. Everybody was now lying on the floor except for Mark. They could not even scratch him.

They were howling pain and they should have broken bones by now. The spot hitted by Mark could surely be a fracture, they thought.

Mark was somewhat proud of himself but he knew this was just a small achievement of his. They were still normal humans and they did not even cultivate spirit energy.

Mark looked at them and did not say anything. The outcome was predicted and these fools would remember their lesson. No matter how many of them come the result would always be the same.

As Mark tried to leave, when he was about the door. His back was vulnerable and he was open for attacks but he did not think that they would still attack. Mark did not know that Ryan's anger was reaching its maximum and wanted to kill him.

Ryan brought a gun and decided to use it. He was not in right mind of state. He was angry and his sides were hurting with just one punch. He wanted to kill this bastard right now.

He draw his gun and pointed it Mark. Everybody was shocked of what Ryan was doing. Things escalated quickly and they thought that he over extending between the line.

"Ryan! Stop!" Everybody was afraid of what might happen. They thought they would be imprisoned as well if Mark really died. Nobody wanted to go to prison.

Mark heard them and turned around to look back what was going on. He did not expect to see a pistol pointing at him. Ryan pulled the trigger, the bullet was travelling fast and there was no time to dodge. He tried to evade, he twisted his body but it was not enough as his right c.h.e.s.t was still pierced by the bullet.

Everybody saw what happened. They thought their lives were over and they would be imprisoned for the murder of a school classmate. Each and one of them tried to got up and leave so that they would not be implicated and be seen having to do with a murder. When they got up they sprinted towards the door forgetting about the pain in their bodies.

Blood was dripping from Mark's c.h.e.s.t and he was in pain that he could not describe. Ryan ran after he came back into his senses from the deed he had done. In his mind, he could only get help from his father. He called his father, he was shivering in fear and his voice stuttering.

Ryan told the whole thing to his father. His father was shocked about what happened, he did not expect his son to escalate things quickly resulting to loss of life. Ryan towards his limo and drove away as fast he can. He told the driver to bring him back immediately as he was afraid to be caught by the cops.

Mark lied on the ground and he was in pain. He thought he was going to die. He did not even had the chance to go out with Rose. He had still much to do. He had so many dreams that he wanted to realized so many goals to be achieved.

All of a sudden, He heard his bones crackled, his body was heating up. The wound in his c.h.e.s.t began to rapidly heal. He felt that the pain was gradually going away from him. His veins were bulging all over his body. Spiritual energy bursted forth and circulated and seep into his bones, he felt that his body was absorbing all of the spiritual energy in the area. It was like a blackhole that tried to swallow everything. He became hungry and he really wanted to eat. His body was strengthening that he could lift a car. He did not know what was happening. He felt that he was being s.u.c.k.e.d away from his consciousness.

Spiritual energy was being concentrated in the area and Mark was absorbing it all. He did not know that he was going through an evolution. His soul had benefited greatly from the received and he felt that he have unlocked something in his soul. It was that after unlocking it, he was constantly being pulled towards it. He was afraid of what might happen and he would lose himself.

He tried to fight it and he held on for quite some time due to his determination. It was no use, he was still s.u.c.k.e.d after fighting for it for so long and was pulled down from his consciousness. He felt his life was ending.

Mark lied at the rooftop, nobody came to his rescue. He was there alone sleeping. He did not know that he was s.u.c.k.e.d into a space inside his consciousness where there was a red orb glowing. Inside his consciousness he woke up and was shocked where he was. He thought that he was in the afterlife or in hell. He did not imagine monsters would go to heaven.

He stared at the orb trying to identify what could it be. He wanted to know if this thing was dangerous as he was s.u.c.k.e.d earlier and this orb could be the reason.

He looked around and thought it was a space were he was trapped and he didn't know where it's location was. He thought that he should have died and this was some weird afterlife place where souls of the dead are placed.

He tried to walk around to see if there was any exit nearby. He was disappointed as he could not find one. There was only boundless space and the orb at the center. He decided to get near it and maybe see if the orb had a way to make him escape.

He touched the orb and the space suddenly shake. He did not what was happening and he was beginning to regret what he have done. He didn't know what was its use and he blindly touched it just like that. He tried to take his hand off the orb but he it wouldn't budge and it was stuck there. He thought he was going to experience death twice.

The orb dimmed and it began to crack. It leaked blood and it suddenly seeped into Mark's skin making afraid of what was happening.

Outside his body was undergoing a transformation. His body enlarged and transformed into something dark. His skin turned into scales and sharp spike emerged from his back and his head transformed something similar to a dragon. Horns emerged from his head and Mark felt pain in his head inside the consciousness. His eyes turned blood-red and his teeth became fangs that was similar to a saber-tooth tiger.

He did not know what was happening to his body and inside he was losing it. His heart began to throb and the red orb emerged from the soul and merged with his energy center in his stomach.

His blood circulated 200x the normal rate of what the heart could do. Inside the space, the surrounding became blood red and he felt that only in his mind was to kill, bloodl.u.s.t. His body was so hungry because the red orb needed a lot of nourishment due to the process of his transformation.

In his mind there was only blood. He needed a lot of it. Wings began to emerge from his back. His physique now became 10x of what it was at normal. It was much better than those who transformed resulting to a twofold in increase.

Mark came from the Rift and his origins were unknown. What monsters would live there and survive? This question was asked by many. For those who venture into the unknown many never came back.

He had an insatiable hunger welling inside him. He became similar to a beast that have no mind of its own but one thing he did remember was Ryan.

He wanted to kill him and eat him. That was one his thoughts in his transformed state.

Mark began to ascend using his wings to fly and find Ryan.

He flew as he broke the sound barrier. Resulting into a sonic boom. [SONIC BOOM SFX]
