My Boyfriend Is A Campus Bad Boy

Chapter 50 - 50: Secret Admirer's Gift

– 3 hours before the coronation night –

Thousands of twinkling stars showed up above the warm, bright sky. It was a beautiful, cold night that everyone loved since before.

The birds chirped at the deep, wild forest while the predators crawled and prowled around.

The entire place was quiet, filled with serenity, and at the same time, it looked like a mysterious place that ever existed. But under the two-storey house nearby the forest, there was a girl who rolled back and forth to the soft, faded bed.

She looked insane and almost out of reality. Her room was a mess as she threw a few of the pillows to the barren floor.

"Woah! I.... I can't still forget about it!"

Photographs were scattered throughout the room. She held her head, shook it hard enough to get rid of the thought of him until she fell to the ground. "Ouch, my face!"

Slowly, she stood, stepped to the drawer, and took out the small mirror from it. She tapped her scarlet right cheek, pouted like an adorable little girl. "Wake up, Halora! You have still to go back to school for your best friend!"

In front of her reflection, Halora convinced herself to extend her genuine support for Roy and Sandra. Despite the rivalry between them, she had still to keep her promises no matter what happened.

"I have to change first!" Halora mumbled, put back the mirror into the drawer. She gasped, seated at the edge of her bed for a couple of minutes.

Even though everything happened too fast, the guilt she felt remained inside of her. Halora never expected anything from anyone, but, her heart filled with joy at the moment she felt his warm, soft lips on her right cheek.

It was her first kiss after almost seventeen years of living in the universe.

Halora never regretted it. She knew her boundaries, limitations as an ordinary high school girl. She already created an indestructible wall against anyone who will try to play her heart and soul.

"Huh," she paused, took a heavy sigh, and stood like an undead. "What should I wear tonight? It is too cold outside at these hours lately!" She added, crossed her arms, and caressed it gently.

Halora opened her closet filled with jeans and blouses. She never tried to wear a mini skirt or even any kind of a dress that flaunted off her skin.

For about half of an hour, she picked her favorite denim pants and a custard lovely shirt. At the chest part of it, there was a brown butterfly that made it into the new trend.

"Alright! I have still one and a half hours to prepare!"

Quickly like a flash of lightning, Halora organized everything inside of the messy room. She put the photographs on the wall as she will never forget that moment with him.

After she cleaned it up, she went downstairs to pack a biscuit, a bottle of water before going out to school.

Halora had lived peacefully since her parents died suddenly. She was too young to understand the reason why they left her in the cruel, unjust world.

She frowned, leaned over the table when she found out that her resources were almost being consumed. She was just using her parents' savings for her future and fortunately, she got a full scholarship at La Milanosa Academy.

"Huh, I think I should start looking for a new job while studying." She murmured, glanced up above the ceiling.

Halora wondered for a while until someone knocked on the door. The doorbell was still unavailable due to some reason.

She frowned, stomped her feet to the floor as she went to check who it was.

With enough strength, she unlocked the door and pull it over. She looked throughout the wide backyard but there was nobody else in the place.

But Halora looked down and saw a brown box in front of her. It terrified her but she picked it up and closed the door.

"Hmm, who would have thought about this thing? A brown box with a note? Hmm."

Halora checked the cover of the package and there was a short message on the bottom of it.

"To the girl who underestimated herself, this is for you. I hope you will wear and like it.

See you after the coronation night at the school's garden.

From your secret admirer."

It almost slipped off from her hand after she read those words. Halora quickly ran towards the door, opened it wide enough, and searched for the sender.

But for the second time around, she failed to catch the unknown admirer.

She gasped, looked at it for a second. She went onto the living room and put the mystery brown box on the table as she looked for the scissors.

"Hmm, I wondered what are the things inside of this box?"

Excitement drew to her face while she unboxed it. She hurriedly put the scissor aside when it was successfully uncovered.

But, there was a thick, plain board on the top of it. She slowly took the board, opened the smooth, white cloth until a mesmerizing, pale pink dress shown.

"W– wow! What a beautiful dress I ever had!"

She was filled with amusement and joy because of a simple gift from a stranger. Halora never wished to have it but now that her skin appreciated the smooth, soothing type of fabric, she felt like she wanted to have it all.

But there was something left inside of the box. A glowing, rare, and limited edition necklace. It was made up of pure gold with a butterfly ensign on it.

Tears shone on her almond roundish eyes. Her heart skipped a bit as she received many things this year.

"T– th– this is what that I've been wishing for! For heaven's sake, I can't believe I have it now!"

Halora embraced the first-ever gift she had received. She promised the person who sent it for her that she will keep and cherish them for the rest of her life.

Until loud, classical music played while she spun around in the middle of the living room with a smile on her lips.
