My Boyfriend Is A Campus Bad Boy

Chapter 51 - 51: In The Name Of Love I

– At the school –

The preliminary and the swimwear competition was accomplished by every competitive delegate. They rocked slew and did their best to nail and get the crown.

But as the most awaited portion of every beauty contest, the question and answer portion has begun to select the top five finalists.

One by one, fifty-six pairs selected a piece of paper backstage. They solely picked the judge that will give them a particular question.

All of them took a heavy sigh, calm their mind and body before their names were being called.

After almost fifty pairs of contenders, Sandra and Roy peacefully waited for their time. Both of them looked prepared, keen to win the annual competition.

"And now, let us call on for the pair with the greatest number of fans and supporters! Are you ready to catch a glimpse of them?"

The speaker asked the crowd until loud, terrifying cheers almost ruin the covered hall. If only they had special powers, their voice would have broken the glasses and windows.

"Alright, their supporters are really eager to nail this year's battle!"

"You are right! And now, let us call on again for the campus crush and heartbreaker, Sandra Coleen Lee and Roy Adrian!"

Sunny whispered something to her ears the moment her name was hailed. She looked intently into her eyes, gave the best, genuine support she could ever give.

"Go! Go! Go! Slay it once again, Sandra!"

"Good evening, Sandra. What do you feel at this long, most awaited coronation night?" One of the speakers asked her.

She tilted her head, smiled confidently to the judges and to everyone who supported her journey.

Sandra has never been afraid of everything she has done in the past. She would always face it with her head held high and confident.

"I am grateful to be here on stage, once again. And I am here to nail the title and the crown."

Hundreds of students yelled and cheered for her victory. They lifted high the banner they were holding that boosted her enthusiasm and composure.

"Wow, what a straightforward answer! Anyway, you picked Mr. Ching for your question. Are you ready?"

"Yes." She replied shortly.

Mr. Ching stood up from his seat next to Mrs. Lee. He gasped, looked throughout the crowd with a wide smile on his lips.

He said, "If you will die one hour after winning tonight's competition, what is the only and best thing you will do? To whom would you rather pass the crown before your death and why?"

Mr. Ching asked her two questions that were difficult to answer within sixty seconds.

But despite all the struggles, she gripped the mic with a wit answer on her mind.

"Thank you! But if I'll die after winning tonight's competition, the only, best thing I will do is... I'll be running to the church, talk to him and ask for forgiveness. I'll pray for my loved ones' health and he may guide their eternity."

"And I will pass the crown to the person who's special to me. A person I know that will keep it until the rest of her life. And that person is no other than... my beloved mother. Because for me, she is the real queen who deserved to be crowned for all of her hard works and dedication. For all the sacrifices she has done for me and that is what makes her empowered, brave, and an independent queen. Once again, thank you, and good evening to all of you!"

With conviction and feelings, the panel of the judges was surprised by her answer.

They clapped their hands, saluted to her bravery and words of wisdom which made her mother blinked her eyes.

Mrs. Lee hid the tears of joy she had felt at the moment. For the first time, she heard those heartfelt, overwhelming words from her daughter. The girl she was gave birth seventeen years ago.

"Your daughter is so adorable and beautiful young lady, Selene! I am so proud of you because that is your biggest achievement as a mother." One of the panels of the judges congratulated her.

After a long time, Sandra finally looked at her eyes that brought thousands of definitions. The crowd clapped their hands, as they couldn't get enough of Sandra's best answer.

The speakers wiped their foreheads, hushed the screaming crowd for a second. "Alright, as the management's request, we may call on for our dearest principal, Mrs. Selene Lee on stage."

"W– wait! W– what did you say?" Sandra asked the speaker who suddenly announced it. She looked nervous, trembled out of fear as she only faked everything she had said earlier.

By then, Mrs. Lee walked on stage with a smile on her lips. Her heart was filled with joy and happiness as she thought, it was the right moment for reconciliation.

"Okay, this is your time to say how you truly feel towards each other." The male speaker gave the wireless mic to Sandra.

Her hands shivered, her lips fidgetted but she had to do something about it. She had to cover up the lies she created with another lie.

Sandra looked at her mother's eyes with guilt. She only wanted to win the competition but not to fool the crowd.

"I... I l– love you, M– mom! Y– you are the best thing that came into my life!" She stuttered, but Mrs. Lee stooped to her and enclosed Sandra to her arms.

"I love you, Sandra and you will always be my baby. Remember that."

Tears ran down to her cheeks as it was a group of horses in a race. Selene Lee embraced her daughter tightly after a long, long time. She hasn't felt the connection between Sandra but she shrugged off her shoulders and smiled at the camera flashed to their faces.

She then whispered something important to the speaker that diverted the crowd's attention. Sandra looked surprised, fooled, and tangled by her own trap.

She never saw it coming but she grinned widely as it blew everyone away.

"Watch and just wait for my revenge, Halora. You don't know what I'm capable of in the name of love." She mumbled at the back of her mind.
