My Boyfriend Is A Campus Bad Boy

Chapter 58 - 58: Midnight's Visitor

After what happened earlier, Halora rolled over to the bed. A lot of things bothered her that almost took away her sanity. First– the wedding ceremony with Sebastian, second– the fancy trip with Roy, and third– Roy embraced her tightly.

Since then her life was once, simple, peaceful and nothing exciting happened except for being bullied every single day.

Halora lied to bed after Roy sent her home. Her heart filled with happiness because of what he did in the school garden. Despite all the misunderstandings, she never wanted to push away the only friend she has for how many years.

But if she will choose between Roy and Sebastian, she will never hesitate to choose the man who trusted, appreciated her worth as a woman.

She gasped, quickly turned on the lamplight beside her. "Ugh! Why I can't sleep?" He exclaimed, arched her back, and caught a glimpse of the wall clock.

It was almost three in the morning but still, she was fully awake and energetic. Her mind never stopped reminiscing every moment she had experienced during the school's carnival.

Halora seated in the middle of the bed took a heavy breath and looked at the beautiful, starry sky. She left the window half-opened until a cold, strong wind blew up her hair.

But instead of closing the window, she wore the slippers on the floor, walked closer and leaned her arms to the edge of it. She cherished the cold sensation brought by the wind while she remembered the moment he kissed her.

It was beyond her expectation but Halora's heart fluttered at that moment. Words weren't enough to describe what she had felt especially when his warm hands touched her skin.

"Why is it my heart skip a bit every time he's near with me?" She asked herself but still, she couldn't answer it.

She lifted her right leg when a mosquito has bitten it. Halora narrowed her eyes, checked it until she heard a loud, car's engine through the window.

Fear embraced her because of the news spread throughout the country. Criminals loitered, searched for their victims because of greed and poverty.

She quickly closed the window, rushed downstairs to check the doors for her safety. "Huh! Huh!" She chased her breath, moved her head closer to the keyhole as she tried to see who suddenly came closer to her house.

For a couple of minutes, Halora heard nothing. There was no sign of danger as her hands trailed off to the doorknob. Slowly, with fear in her heart, she pulled it over, closed her eyes for a second.

A warm, comforting hand cupped her cold, smooth face. Halora shivered, opened her eyes widely as it stunned her. "I– it's you!" Out of all the things she wanted to say, those two words came out of her mouth.

Stuttered and frightened, Halora blinked her eyes countless times. Seeing him in front of her house was really out of the bleak and from the fantasy she had created in her head.

"I– I tried not to come and see you at this hours, but, forgive me b– be– because I can't sleep even I drank plenty glasses of milk!"

"I can't s– sl– sleep either! Hmm, it's cold outside, why don't you come inside and I'll get you a cup of tea."

Halora turned around on him. She walked straight to the kitchen while he closed the door then seated on one of the chairs in the living room.

He waited for a moment, stared at the small pot on the glass table.

"I love that plant since I was a kid," spoke Halora from behind with two cups of tea and fried potatoes chips she would always love to eat. "By the way, here's your tea to warm you, Seb."

It made him smile genuinely. The way she called his name, look at his eyes was something different he appreciated. He then took it, sipped a small amount of tea. "Hmm, it's quite relaxing. Thank you for entertaining me despite the cold weather."

Sebastian's eyes traveled to her face, down to her loose shirt and baby blue pajama. "I'm sorry for disturbing you but I c– came here to know you're fine."

He wanted to confront her from the incident earlier but Sebastian didn't want to be sounded like a bitter friend of her.

"T– thank you but you don't have to do that! Alright? Bad people are roaming around, and I don't want them to hurt you." A trace of fear was drawn to her soft, scarlet face. If caring for Sebastian will be enough for saving her from the bullies, Halora will never stop caring for him– as a new friend.

But a long silence meddled in between their conversation. Halora sipped her tea silently while Sebastian stared at her face.

Little did she know, his real intention was about the said trip with Roy and Sandra. "And about our trip, mother told me to pack our things immediately as we will be leaving tomorrow after lunch."

"Alright, I'll set an alarm to my phone. I don't want to be late with our trip."

Sebastian tilted his head, drank it all as he placed the empty cup on the table. "Well, I have to go now Halora. I just came here to remind you."

But Halora wanted him to stay. For a second, she was stunned because of him. He smelled like a flower that bloomed every single day.

She nodded her head, put down her tea, and replied, "Wait! Before you leave, take this with you." Halora went back to the kitchen and brought a paper ag with her.

She smiled, lent it to Sebastian who looked confused, "Wh– what is this?" He said.

But she smiled over her shoulders and replied, "Taste it once you get home and tell me something about it, alright?"

By then, he waved his hands on her. Turned around and walked into the door. "Sure! Good night, Halora! See you tomorrow."

Halora replied sweetly, "Good night to you too, Seb."
