My Boyfriend Is A Campus Bad Boy

Chapter 69 - 69: A Beautiful Transformation

The tension between them grew bigger and bigger. Roy found her beauty as extraordinary, rare like a hidden gem under the deepest, creepiest cave in the world.

For all her life, Halora was poisoned by the idea that she was ugly, that she has no right to transform herself into a better version, stronger, empowered, and dauntless.

"H– how about this? D– do I look like a girl n– now?" She stuttered, bit her lips as she felt afraid that he might disapprove of the makeover she did. "Hey, answer me! You're making me nervous!"

He put his hand to his chest, listened to the sound of his heart, "You don't know how much beautiful you are, Halora! I– I know you were just afraid to show to the whole world who truly you are because you are afraid to be judged by the people around you!"

He paused, chased his breath, and stooped closer to her. Slowly, Roy reached for her hands, squeezed it gently, "Don't be scared to show your true colors, Halora. I am here now and I will never leave your side, forever and ever."

"Th– thank you for always encouraging me, Roy. I don't know what to do without your help," A genuine smile formed on her lips, bowed down, and looked at his feet. "L– let's eat now! My stomach has been craving food!"

Silence meddled between as he couldn't get off his eyes from Halora. He stood for a second before her, memorized every detail of her flawless face.

Until the door creaked when someone pushed it without their permission. "Good morning to you–" Sandra stopped at the moment and her eyes stuck into Roy and Halora's hands.

She tilted her head, looked at the young man beside her. "I'm sorry for disturbing the two of you! I thought you were ready to go now!"

She smiled but the truth was– Halora's sudden transformation amazed and bothered her the most. She never expected it to be that way, but Sandra never denied how beautiful Halora was.

"N– no! Y– you misconstrued what you saw, Sandra!"

Halora tried to explain but it was too late. She glanced up, stared at the young man behind Sandra. He looked at her face down to her hands.

She gulped, quickly pulled it back then stepped away from Roy.

"We're about to eat and if you want, you can join us, right Halora?"

"Y– yes, of course! Come inside and join us before we start with our first activity!" She looked away from his deep gaze, instead, Halora glanced at Sandra who smiled mischievously at her.

She then flipped her hair, walked inside like it was her room. Behind Sandra, Sebastian looked straight in the direction silently. He didn't even talk with Halora nor smile at her.

"Shall we? They're here to join us." Roy whispered. He sensed something between Halora and Sebastian but he chose to ignore it. "Come on, you like a girl without money in her wallet!"

"Really? How did you know about it, huh?"

They teased each other on their way to the kitchen while Sandra gave the plate to Sebastian. From afar, they both heard Halora's sweet, soothing laughter. "She seemed happy with Roy. What do you think, Seb?"

He shrugged off his shoulders, scooped some potatoes into his plate, and said nothing but a long sigh. Until Roy was seated in front of Sandra while Halora was seated before Sebastian.

It looked like a double date. Two couples enjoyed the food on the same table, shared stories, and had laughter.

Sandra started with the light, funny jokes. Her other personality showed in front of them that astonished Halora. Until she looked at Halora seriously and asked her a crucial question. "How about you, Halora? What makes you happy and strive to survive?"

Everyone's attention turned to her. Sebastian paused, set aside the spoon, and sipped some water. While Roy gave her an assuring smile and an encouraging wink.

"Go Halora! Go Halora!" Roy cheered for her until she swallowed greedily, opened her mouth widely.

Halora clasped her hands, gave them a genuine smile, and said, "Maybe one of the reasons why I am still trying to live my life to the fullest is contentment and all experiences that I went through. Rather than being weak, I controlled my head and heart that I have to keep my promises to my parents no matter what."

A loud, sudden noise sounded off. Sandra clapped her hands but she didn't stop throwing her questions. "Hmm, if you will choose between your best friend and the man you love, who will you choose between them?"

"Pa– pardon?"

"You don't have to answer if you don't want to!" Finally, Sebastian spoke to her. He sounded serious, cold, and dismayed. Sebastian added more salad to his plate, listened to their breaths and whispers of the wind.

Roy gulped, reached for the bowl of salad until he accidentally spilled out the glass of water. "Ohh, sorry for that!" He quickly stood out, searched for a clean cloth.

But it took him for a while until Sandra cursed into the wind and followed him. "Stay right there! I'll get something from our room!" She told Sebastian who almost soaked up with the cold water.

By then, Halora and Sebastian were left alone. She gasped, hesitated to check him. "W– would you like to change your trouser first o– or?"

She stuttered, bit her lower lip as she couldn't look straight into his eyes. But without her knowledge, Sebastian liked how she fixed her hair, the color of the dress she was wearing– everything about her was perfect and fine.

Yet, he kept it when he remembered his promises. Despite being a badass young boy, he respected his mother so much and he was willing to take the risk for the sake of his loved ones.

He stared at her face while he had the chance, "He's right, you looked beautiful with your hair. You are a goddess with a golden heart, Halora." He murmured that fluttered her heart and awakened the strong feeling she had kept for months.
