My Boyfriend Is A Campus Bad Boy

Chapter 71 - 71: Shopping Time

After a couple of hours at the mall, Sandra almost bought the entire boutique because of the clothes she had chosen.

Mini skirts, sleeveless, revealing dresses, and other garments that would make her beautiful and stunning. She saw different make-up kits and because she had everything, she bought two kits without even thinking very carefully.

Roy and Sebastian brought all the paper bags while the girls walked like a queen and princess. They didn't want to argue with her anymore as it would only make trouble.

At the last shop inside of the mall, Sandra looked throughout the area and the mannequin. It was wearing a glowing red long dress with beautiful, yet expensive accessories.

A wide smile formed on her lips turned to the boys, and said, "I... I know you are both tired so– maybe you can take some rest for a while and Halora will accompany me. Right Halora?"

She looked at her eyes as she knew, Halora won't decline her offer. By then, she giggled, grabbed Halora's arm, and said, "See? We are friends now, so why don't you take a cup of tea and wait for us for a moment."

"A– are you sure i– it wo–won't take too long?" Halora asked her but she quickly turned around and pulled her closer to the entrance of the shop.

"Shh, minimize your voice. Don't worry, they'll have a good, heart-to-heart conversation. You know, a guy's stuff!"

Sandra waved her hands to nowhere. She talked the whole time which always caught Halora's attention.

But the moment they stepped inside, Halora's eyes widened, her pulse stopped pounding when she realized that one of her bucket lists had finally come true.

"I– it's the most famous brand and shops in the co– country! H– how did you brought me here Sandra? I... I don't have enough money to spend!"

Once again, all of her what-ifs came back. Halora asked herself if what if her parents were still alive? What if she knew where her grandparents lived? What if her family was rich? What if?

She shook her head to get rid of the negative thoughts in her head. Sandra faked a smile, held her hands, and replied, "Come on, Halora! I know you haven't been to this kind of place. So, as your new friend, I care about you– about your wants and needs."

She squeezed gently her hands but Halora was still reluctant to believe in her words. "Since we're here, w– why don't you wander around, look for a dress that captured first your interest and I will buy it for you– as my peace offering. Deal?"

Sandra offered her right hand. She looked sincere, true to her words that gave false interpretations to Halora. Despite everything that happened between them, she was still willing to forgive but not to forget.

"D– deal," Halora said, took a deep breath, and closed her eyes. It's been a long time since she took a risk, a risk of trusting people that caused a lot of pain in her life. "B– but don't you worry, once I get my allowance, I will pay you for it!"

"Come on, if I said it is only free, it is only for free. No buts, Halora or I will make a scene here."

"Yes! I mean, yes– I am accepting your offer now!"

At the end of the day, darkness would always win. And the same situation happened to both of them.

From then on, Halora searched for a dress that she will keep and treasure for the rest of her life. She was not a materialistic person which more difficult to capture her interests.

Thousands of dresses hung and were displayed. Having different, unique styles, lengths, and colors. Everything was perfect for Sandra as she already picked three dresses in a row.

But on the other side, Halora caressed her chin, stood in front of the white, flowery long dress. There was lace in the middle, a long slit in the right leg, and beautiful butterflies embroidery.

It looked simple yet elegant and meaningful. "Wow! I love this dress!" She murmured, touched, felt the smooth, cotton fabric. But the smile on her lips vanished when she saw the price tag, "1 thousand dollars? I can use it for the near future rather than buying this one!"

But little did she know, one of the salesladies heard it. She smiled, called Halora, and said, "You can fit it if you want to try. It looks perfect on you, young lady."

Her smile motivated Halora and lit the fire that almost faded away. She gaped, shook her head, and put back the dress as she might tarnish it.

"R– really? I love this one but sad to say, I don't have enough money to pay this." She pouted her lips that inspired the saleslady.

She then stepped closer, took the dress out of the hasp, and pulled Halora to the fitting room. "Hurry up! I've never done this before but you just captured my heart, young lady!"

Frighteningly, Halora let the sales lady manipulated her for a while. She badly wanted the dress but it was not her priority.

"Get inside and I will wait for you until you fit this, alright?"

"Aye." Halora shortly replied and bowed her head.

However, while Halora changed her clothes in the fitting room, Sandra looked around for her. She was worried about her yet, the shop was too gigantic and wide enough to find Halora easily.

She asked a few of the customers but jo one saw Halora. Little did she knew, Halora called the sales lady who assisted her. She smiled, gave a thumbs up when it perfectly suited the shape of her body.

"Oh my God! You look like an actress now! Even you're wearing eyeglasses, you nailed it!"

"Thank you but I can't afford to buy this." She whispered until she heard Sandra's voice nearby.

"Halora?"

"Where are you, Halora? We have to go now!"

She had panicked, stepped back inside of the fitting room, and quickly took off the fancy, expensive dress.

Her heartbeat was too fast when Sandra asked the sales lady outside of the fitting room. She then looked around inside, hung the dress carefully until she noticed an old, cheap dress on the wall.

Perhaps one of the customers forgot to bring it back. "That was too close!" She muttered, took a deep breath before she went out of the fitting room with the cheap dress on her arm.

"Sa– Sandra! I'm sorry but I've been here for a while now, just try this one."

"No worries, but come on! We need to pay for all of these now!" Fortunately, Sandra didn't notice that she forgot to fix her dress.

Before they leave the store, the sales lady winked at her, "I'll keep this one for you." She said and bid goodbye to her.
